I've researched that system and it seems to be a signal booster? Correct me if I'm wrong. A Good antenna will outperform a signal booster in most of the cases tho.
I was able to get T-Mobile to send me a TMO-G4AR 5G Gateway. Therefore I did not have to open the box or do anything special. I am already getting 431 Mbps down and 39.8 Mbps up with the original box. I ordered an external antenna to see how it changes my reception. In my case, I am planning to get rid of my cable service which only gives me 100 down and 5.3 up for twice the money. Thanks for the post.
How did you get them to give you this? My efforts to request a particular gateway have been totally fruitless. They say it’s not possible, they just give you whatever they have on hand.
This claim is just like T-Mobiles claims. It is all conditional on how much signal you are getting at your specific location. So many of these are returned within a day because their home has a weak signal and they don't perform.
Yes, if you need it while i motion you would have to use an ominidirectiona, I think they sell those as well. Those can take the wind of movement and still get you outside the vehicle
So I’m having issues with mine my closest 5g tower is about 2 miles away but it connects to 4g and randomly will connect to 5g and I live up in the hills I put it where I got the strongest 4g signal since 5g wouldn’t have up and before I unplugged my router I saw it hit 5g I finished up installing everything now it’s at 4g again how do I keep it on 5g? And also with the tower being so close but a lot of obstructions I was able to get 150 upload speed idk if I need a different Attenna or what but it irritates me how it won’t connect to 5g randomly it will

My local t mobile store (50 miles away) serves remote part of our state. They recommend and personally use weboost home complete with newer tmobile home internet box with antenna ports. How is that solution better than what you present here?
I've researched that system and it seems to be a signal booster? Correct me if I'm wrong. A Good antenna will outperform a signal booster in most of the cases tho.
How did they not give you the modem that has built in external antenna support O-o
Very nice video 😊😊
This claim is just like T-Mobiles claims. It is all conditional on how much signal you are getting at your specific location. So many of these are returned within a day because their home has a weak signal and they don't perform.
I'd LOVE to get your "terrible" indoor speeds. I get an average of 8 mbps download, yes 8.
Is there a way to use an antenne to boost mobile data speeds?
Yes, if you need it while i motion you would have to use an ominidirectiona, I think they sell those as well. Those can take the wind of movement and still get you outside the vehicle
So, this ia a one-directional antenna? If this is an omni-directional, why looking for best signal when outside...?
Cus why not
What app are you using to check the wifi signal
There's a reason why they make outdoor 5G CPEs. Much nicer than faffing around with antennas and cable loss. Buy the right equipment from the start.
And also with the tower being so close but a lot of obstructions I was able to get 150 upload speed idk if I need a different Attenna or what but it irritates me how it won’t connect to 5g randomly it will
Does this work with AT&T fiber?
Would this work for improving cell phone coverage and eliminating dropped calls with multiple carriers inside a building?
Traded a wired grid for a wireless one , genius
How do you hook it up to the newer gateway?
It just screws in, as it has ports for extrernal antennas. Super easy for that model
You can get a new T Mobile router that has antenna mounts on the outside. I would return that old one you have.
Unfortunately they don't seem to do it that easily or at least not when I tried but I probably should again as the ports externally are much easier on that new model.
@@SilverCymbal I use mine for RV travel. I am debating on mounting the big antenna on the roof or getting the mini for inside at a window.
@@myriadcorp The mini is priced right, at least for now at $119, I would try it and if you get good results, which I can't see how you wouldn't you can always upgrtade later but the little one performs really well but if you are super super far from towers the bigger might be better. You could always rig up a pole, this way you can quicky rotate it, get the best signal, tighten it up and go from there. Butthe window is very easy for sure.
@@myriadcorp Just remember, you can't go under the 11ft8in bridge in North Carolina. (yes, it's now 12'4"). If you've not seen the bridge, do a search here on YT for it and you will see all sorts of box trucks, moving vans, and the occasional rv get a haircut when they try to go under the railroad overpass. Just be sure to do the search when you have some time to quote unquote waste while you watch them. Enjoy.
what about internationally
240 is average speeds for cellular internet. I know people that would kill for them speeds. they get like 40 because they are ether to far away from the tower or the tower isn't upgraded. and BTW you VOID the warranty by doing this. its also not worth spending 1k on the equipment
I need this but for tmobiles 5G Data, I get 15down and 0.10up inside my home
why do i this for tmobile only??
So when T mobile will start to limit speed?
Tmobile now has data caps at 1.2 tb
What can I do if I'm getting decent download speeds but like 0.40 upload speeds with the waveform antenna?
I would double check all connections and if you haven't alrready repeat the same test, and I know its a pain but if you dont do the test outside you will not get good results. From there try to fine tune the location and even up and down could help also.
@SilverCymbal ill keep trying different spots but the only change is in the download speed but nothing on the upload. Also my antenna is on the roof of the house and I'm also using a TP-Link Deco for a boost.
Why everyone get better down speed than up speed? I got 15.6 down and 20.1 up, why Mine is different from the others?
If you are 14 miiles from the tower, does T-Mobile officially provide 5g service in your area? I have towers closer than that and they tell me 5g isn't available in my area. I have Pure Talk cell service (AT&T towers) and I get 5g cell service, although it's pretty weak.
They told me it wasn't available in my area and I said " Sure it is , my neighbor has it" the rep then set up my new account. My neighbor does not have it but they didn't really care.
@@jodieadair How has it been working?
@@youtubereview8176 It has been great for 2+ years now. I am not getting insane speeds but it is miles ahead of anything else available here. I get 100-200 mbps.
IT"S $400 !! Ya'll must be loaded..😳
What is your ping on that?
Next video: installing my own fiber 😎
I thought Tmobile went out with dialup
Greetings: "Off grud" Hmmmn? Internet connection... Definitely not "off grid". More of in-the-network. Thx 4 the share.
Very disappointed didnt do anything in my house and even though i bought a complete package incluy the window pass thru which they didnt include so had to return the piece of crap!
id like to do this but i dont want to pay 380$ for breaking tmobiles mobile internet box
0:04 😳
Iam trying to reduce the ping for gaming
2:26 Para Número y como llama
Mi tengo Huawei B2368-57 para conexión cable como llama??
Actually the older boosters were awesome until Obummer with his pen and phone regulated them from 3 watts down to 1 watt. My old Wilson 3 watt would hit a cell tower 50 miles away. The newer ones at 1 watt is only enough to tease.
Racist detected.
For real? Can you still get the higher wattage ones?
bruh i literally get killabites for download. 1 MB if i’m lucky but that’s only for a couple seconds lol the shit just sucks. guess it depends where ya live too idk ;( fml.
Its actually terrible. I tried this and it did nothing. It varies people just remember that. You all won't get the same results.
No way you are 14 miles from cell tower
Nice area you live in. Wanna trade areas in America? I’m in Pasadena Texas ( Meskidena Texico )
huh interesting
years of mind numbing marketing has dumbed you down so now enjoy your amazing discovery of needing a real antenna for a wireless system.
What if your phone also had an (external) antenna jack?
it used to.
why was it eliminated?
I don't better internet. I want better phone reception.
brah im not dropping $500 for this wtf
Terrible for gaming and the data isnt prioritize
