I think a good thing to add to punish random guessing is that when you guess wrong, it not only decreases the repair timer for the animatronic guessed, but also a few others
Spiff: how do people know so much about this game? Hmmmmmm I dont know, maybe if there was something that you could access before the game that would teach you the basic mechanics and your objective.
can i just say i took the time to learn the game when i first played it and thoroughly enjoyed my experience because of it, so watching spiff not do anything properly and somehow still manage to get through the night with barely any issues is upsetting me
Phantom: "Dear god this man is guessing my every move! How in the hell are they keeping track of where I am so easily?!" Astral: *Literally picking animatronics at random*
I think what that person meant was that guessing randomly should be punished more in the early nights so you're forced to pay more attention instead of guessing randomly, then giving up when you can't guess any more
for all this game is lacking in variety and actual spooky sound design, the stinger that plays every time the ghost swaps animatronics is really lovely. it reminds me a LOT of The Shining's musical queues
love how this game goes back to the classic "well intentioned but unfortunately creepy" designs like those old easter bunny costumes and the classic chuck-e-cheese costumes. really feels like going back to the roots of FNAF in all the best ways. Unfortunately I think all these fan game creators majorly miss the mark on mystery by having such convoluted mechanics. having mechanics like these are much harder and very cool, but a big part of the first game's charm was you could pick it up and stumble your way through them without a tutorial or excessive explination text all over the screen, really helped immersion when you felt like you were thrown into this situation and forced to figure things out yourself. only given vague hints by a veteran of the job through those recorded messages. your playthrough just reminded me a lot about how the stumbling through mechanics is a big part but should have been done in a way which encouraged less trial and error.
Yup, also there’s the fact that just having tutorial text or even just the “x/x haunted” message kinda breaks Immersion because that could only happen in a game, whereas in the first fnaf game you were just a part time worker getting incomplete and maybe even misleading information.
Honestly, they don't seem that bad. A timer mechanic in the form of animatronic repairs, looking at smudges and lights in correlation to who is in the room, and other small details make for a fairly simple experience once you learn it
@@jakebarry8456 yes but the only reason he knew he had to even find a haunted machine was chat. like I said the mechanics are cool I just feel execution is lacking
It's kind of amazing how creepy and detailed the art for each jumpscare is, they all really do kind of look like old fashioned mascots from the early era of restaurant entertainment, like "This is a brand new thing we're doing so our designs are a little creepy on accident" look I especially love Bonnie's tiny lil spectacles
Wasn't there for much of these streams but was there when you finally beat the last night. Well done Spigg, awesome job! Edit: why does everyone keep responding with Spigg?
Props to Spiff for somehow creating an entertaining 40 minute video that is literally just "FNAF Amogus". Matpat couldn't pull that off in his wildest dreams.

Gregory, do you see the small vent on the floor? Have you ever heard of "Among Us," Gregory? You *need* to vent. I know it will be hard for you to be sus, but I know you can do it, Gregory.
Not gonna lie Spiff has the absolutely mental ability to not know how to play the game at all and simultaneously make the best guesses and craft one of the most optimum strats known that early into the game's release.
@@OrionDawn15 well. i did look at the tutorials. but i still swear i could not figure out how to do it. a lot of the mechanics only get explained in death messages which are completely random.

@@OrionDawn15 thing is, after the patch, i played exactly the same and it now worked. i fully swear that the original build had something wrong with the light flickering.
@@monika-Chr The game only decreases the timer of the animatronic you accused of being haunted, Victor means if you guess wrong all of the timers went down so you couldn’t just go down the list accusing until you got it right
gregory, do you see the small vent on the floor? have you ever heard of among us, gregory? you need to vent. i know it will be hard for you to be sus but i know you can do it gregory.
This is why the tutorial is important. As someone who hasn't played or seen Jr's before, I have no idea what's happening so it would be nice to have something to show us in this video lol
Those "constellations" are the character rig, which is what allows the dev to pose the characters. Think your own skeleton, but simplified. Why they are showing up when you hover the mouse over them might be a debugging feature that was accidentally left on when the game was published.
I'm pretty sure it a paranormal hunter thing. They'll have cameras that motion track and use the armature to show it, so paranormal investigaters use it to find ghosts. Since this game's protag is a paranormal investigater it only makes since that it would be used. Also it might be used so the player can see what animatronics are there easier as the cams are hard to see with.

It really is a good game. Beside with Security Breach I’m confused on the lore at this point. Bad guy, he liked stuffing kids in suits and then gets stuffed into a suit trying to hide from ghost children and he gets killed by the suit. A robot made of different childrens souls is piloting the body of a security night guard who is related to him??? In one of the games we see the JRs location (which I thought was a bar) and now this game takes place at that location. It’s fan made but backed by Scott so technically not canon but can be if Scott signs off on it. Honestly it should be as hard to grasp but I haven’t actually played any of these games at all as I get bored playing them.
@@voltronimusprime3833 That would help yes, I have watched everyone's summaries of the games on TH-cam and have yet to find two summaries that match on topics. Like at the point im at, I honestly think that scott had no idea his game would blow up the way it did and just created lore on the fly based on lore people were stringing together after every release.
@@cursedGalataea at all? Okay, I have heard different on TH-cam so I was never sure. Even online it says: "POPGOES and Five Nights at Candy's are confirmed to take place in the same universe".
Personally I was stoked that they gave Foxy actual pirate jewelry, the nose ring and clusters of earrings look badass in my opinion. It gives him a real pirate feel for a kids character and I think that's awesome.
Honestly, i really like this game, the guessing is never a mechanic i like in games, but this guessing mechanic is almost perfectly balanced in difficulty across nights, and the idea behind it is executed perfectly
The aesthetics of this game are great. Not overtly scary, but just unsettling and creepy. I wouldn't wanna stand near these animatronics, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to 100% grasp why in the moment. The art also rocks, super creepy
ok, I've seen exactly NO ONE talking about it, but I love the little voice Spiff does for the bear. at 17:11, I dont know why, but I almost burst into tears.
You know, these animatronics are some of the scariest designs of any fnaf game I've ever seen, but their jumpscares suck and you can't see them well in cameras.
There's something about that sound that plays when you guess them right that like, really freaks me out--- Probably doesn't help that I'm watching this at 1am :") Update: watching this at 1am was a fucking mistake.
32:54 What I believed happened there is that Freddy and Puppet jumpscared on a barely different game unit of time, and it tired to do one jumpscare death procedure, then it tired to do the other jumpscare death procedure, and since there Freddy was already in a jumpscare, the Puppet tried to jumpscare him but you can't have 2 jumpscares at once so the Puppet Jumpscare cancelled the Freddy jumpscare without either jumpscare getting a chance to send the player to the game over screen since that part is delayed, but enough time to make the other functions of the jumpscare work normally, such as loss of control, and then the puppet, which cancelled the freddy jumpscare, comes in at 2:00 once the character's state of control changes and kills Spiff at 33:16
Spiff you should check out the "five tries at love" series, it's like a silly little fnaf dating simulator but pretty interesting and doesn't take that long

Hey Spiff, love the video (as usual). It was fun to discover the game with you! Ever heard of Tealerland? It's an other Fan-FNAF-Game, really similar to this one visually, but very different in gameplay. I think you would love it!
I can thinks of some ways to make it more tense, first off making its ambiance darker, maybe do some slight ''hauntings'' on the office that make you question if the stuff there was like this before, second the conveyor belt animatronics, I wish they were sometimes hostile and you had to shock them to pacify them, but if you pacify one that isnt hostile, it will attack you or cut its stability, finally to have some kind of danger while in the office, so you never feel too safe, this would need an overhaul of the hauntings, and maybe if you take too long they affect your night in a way, maybe you can just ''delay'' the stability going down, and when they do they become hostile, failing to keep an animatronic non hostile will keep them on low stability for the next nights, as it is, ITS very unique but not very tense, the design of the animatronics is ultra SSS, but is barely used to its full effect because you are too safe, on the last night the problem of the cameras not being used at all other that the puppet on the first half makes the night just accentuates this issue.
This game looks really cool, love your videos Spiff. Like you don't know enough about the story but its still interesting and confusing at the same time. Visuals and sounds are really cool as well.

idk why I find this comment so hilarious but I do.
We hope you enjoyed the game! Gotta say, absolutely hilarious to see how you played this. Entertaining as always man, kep up the good stuff :)
Side note - we plan on adding extra content in the future. How much? We're not even sure. We want to jampack as many fun challenges as possible. It'd be awesome if you try some out whenever we get around to adding them
Oh shit dev in chat! Nice game, looks great, love the art direction
He definitely will, in the stream that he beat 35 tasks, he sad that JR’s would got to be his favourite fan game
Great artstyle!
I think a good thing to add to punish random guessing is that when you guess wrong, it not only decreases the repair timer for the animatronic guessed, but also a few others
@@sheez7734 Currently it should be that all their stability lowers at an increased rate when guessed wrong so that's already implemented, yeye
I love how Spiff's chat kept going "if Ballon Boy's meter is glitching out it means he's haunted" and Spiff juwst NEVER saw those messages??
@⁺⓵⓸⓪⓸⓽⓼⓻⓪⓵⓺⓵AstraISplff bot shut up
I feel like he did see those messages but he was stuck in a mindset of "it can't be that easy".
Spiff: how do people know so much about this game?
Hmmmmmm I dont know, maybe if there was something that you could access before the game that would teach you the basic mechanics and your objective.
I wonder what it could be?
The loading screen tips lol
This game is hard sometimes, but watching spiff play it makes me want to hurt someone
That sounds like a good idea ngl
2:33 "Im shocked I both havent died and havent really accomplished anything" im not all that impressed, I've been doing that my whole life
That's rich coming from the most kickass Nevadean ever.

can i just say i took the time to learn the game when i first played it and thoroughly enjoyed my experience because of it, so watching spiff not do anything properly and somehow still manage to get through the night with barely any issues is upsetting me
Literally the definition of work smart not hard
Phantom: "Dear god this man is guessing my every move! How in the hell are they keeping track of where I am so easily?!"
Astral: *Literally picking animatronics at random*
Phantom getting balled by a man who doesn't even know where the ball is.
God those models of all the animatronics are chilling. Whoever was behind the modeling and art direction nailed it in making them horrifying.
I think what that person meant was that guessing randomly should be punished more in the early nights so you're forced to pay more attention instead of guessing randomly, then giving up when you can't guess any more
Spiff: how do people know so much about this game already?
Also spiff: *literally reads the instructions chat is talking about*
for all this game is lacking in variety and actual spooky sound design, the stinger that plays every time the ghost swaps animatronics is really lovely. it reminds me a LOT of The Shining's musical queues

love how this game goes back to the classic "well intentioned but unfortunately creepy" designs like those old easter bunny costumes and the classic chuck-e-cheese costumes. really feels like going back to the roots of FNAF in all the best ways.
@@LudusMachinae well he did skip the intro that tells you the basics
@@NiteArtorias the fact that the intro exists is my problem. original FNAF didn't need one and it thrived on it
It's kind of amazing how creepy and detailed the art for each jumpscare is, they all really do kind of look like old fashioned mascots from the early era of restaurant entertainment, like "This is a brand new thing we're doing so our designs are a little creepy on accident" look
I especially love Bonnie's tiny lil spectacles
I like how he was about to say that fnaf wasn’t kid friendly before stoping himself. Not even he can huff as much copium as matpat

Props to Spiff for somehow creating an entertaining 40 minute video that is literally just "FNAF Amogus". Matpat couldn't pull that off in his wildest dreams.
legend has it that to this day, spiff still takes tutorials as cautionary tales on what NOT to do
In response to people asking what you do for a living, you could always just say you're an "editor" if you want to be giga vague and avoid questions. That usually works
Gregory, do you see the small vent on the floor?
Have you ever heard of "Among Us," Gregory?
You *need* to vent.
I know it will be hard for you to be sus, but I know you can do it, Gregory.
Not gonna lie Spiff has the absolutely mental ability to not know how to play the game at all and simultaneously make the best guesses and craft one of the most optimum strats known that early into the game's release.
the art in this game kicks ass, mad props to whoever drew it!
Damn, the designs in this are absolute gold.
Never thought a good fnaf fan game with a new addition to gameplay would ever exist
There are quite a lot that do, guess that shows how little of them you've seen

I love how I spent hours learning all the animatronics, how they move, the gimmicks, and astral wins by just saying fuck it its Freddy.
I still cannot get over how scary the design's of the animatronics are. It's dead center Uncanny Valley.
when the game first released, it was practically impossible to tell who was haunted. so my best strategy was literally just guessing lmao

If you were doing it the spiff way and completely ignoring tutorials yeah I'd imagine it'd be hard.
@@OrionDawn15 well. i did look at the tutorials. but i still swear i could not figure out how to do it. a lot of the mechanics only get explained in death messages which are completely random.
@@idoblenderstuffs Well then, keep playing and learning. If you can't figure something out at first try experimenting and seeing what works and what doesn't.
@@OrionDawn15 thing is, after the patch, i played exactly the same and it now worked. i fully swear that the original build had something wrong with the light flickering.
I feel like if the base game had it so that if you guessed wrong every animatronics timer went down, it would be a lot more challenging.
Thats how the game works.
@@monika-Chr I thought it only decreases the timer of the one you accuse by a lot. The others keep ticking down normally.
@@monika-Chr The game only decreases the timer of the animatronic you accused of being haunted, Victor means if you guess wrong all of the timers went down so you couldn’t just go down the list accusing until you got it right

Yup. It’s kind of lame how easy it is to cheese.
4:47 I had to take a second to parse that the chatters name was actually "glamrockfreddyismydaddy" and I wasn't watching a confession about something.
"how do people know so much about this game?"
because the mechanics were explicitly told to us thru the tutorial xD

Hearing Spiff do a british (?) accent for Paulbear was the highlight of this, change my mind.
British accents do be gud doe
Sounded like goofy to me
Lol British nah
It was 100% goofy
This is why the tutorial is important. As someone who hasn't played or seen Jr's before, I have no idea what's happening so it would be nice to have something to show us in this video lol
This is a really, really impressive take on the whole thing.
I love it.
We've witnessed the birth of spiff strat:
Step 1: Disregard anything the game tells you to do
Step 2: Just don't be wrong
I have tried it and it works 50% of the time.
I do wonder if I would get better at coin tosses if I actually learn the rules though...
"How do people know so much about this game?!"
Well, you see, they simply read _THE GODDAMN TUTORIAL,_ *_ARIN_*
3:40 I actually really like these jump scares because they’re short. In most fnaf and fan games, the long/delayed ones just seem way goofier.
I like in the joy of creation when Bonnie punches your skull in, but aside from that the longer ones kinda suck.
Those "constellations" are the character rig, which is what allows the dev to pose the characters. Think your own skeleton, but simplified. Why they are showing up when you hover the mouse over them might be a debugging feature that was accidentally left on when the game was published.
i thought it was so you could see erratic movements of the animatronics to tell they’re haunted
Look at the spammy Boi lol
I figured it was so you could see them easier. Definitely helped when characters were behind objects or were in corners since the cams are tinted
Character rigs don't really look that fancy though, don't they?
You know you've begun a game as intended when you stand too close to the character model and cut their dialogue off the screen
me who actually read the tutorial and am currently stuck on night 6: damn this shit hard
spiff just bumbling his way through working off of trial and error:
In your defense I have 1k ppl angrily trying to tell me what to do
you are by far one of my most watched online entertainers ever. id say your, rather large in the buissness. i never leave your videos unsatisfied. they always seem to have exactly what i was looking for. i dont make it to many streams but these videos always many to capture the pure distilled essence of astral spiff for my viewing pleasure. i always love seeing a video come out because i save it for the end of the day so i know i can go to bed with a satisfied smile.
Do you want a very basic summary?
Fanverse initiatives are not canon
Wendigoon has a video on the full story, but games like this aren't really canon
Look, spiff’s way of playing is simply beyond our understanding. It worked really well honestly
my favorite twitch chat from this video is somebody saying "Spiff has evolved from guessing to Guessing AND Checking" and that couldn't be more right
4:18 the scariest part of this game, or any FNAF fan game, if 100% that image of the Marionette with ears on the left there.
When fan games feel and look more like a original title than the most resent stuff
I got a kick out of:
Game: tip - look for hand smudges
Chat: repeating the tip
Spiff: how do you know so much about the game!?
"What's your job, Spiff?"
"Professional unauthorized game tester."
cant wait for the dark deception stream today spiff. as a nonbeliever this will be a good day for me
"That was the most hard hitting jump scare in the entire franchise"
Has this man not seen tjoc Bonnie punch
At least this was more well made than security breach
You know, these animatronics are some of the scariest designs of any fnaf game I've ever seen, but their jumpscares suck and you can't see them well in cameras.
There's something about that sound that plays when you guess them right that like, really freaks me out---
Probably doesn't help that I'm watching this at 1am :")
Update: watching this at 1am was a fucking mistake.
32:54 What I believed happened there is that Freddy and Puppet jumpscared on a barely different game unit of time, and it tired to do one jumpscare death procedure, then it tired to do the other jumpscare death procedure, and since there Freddy was already in a jumpscare, the Puppet tried to jumpscare him but you can't have 2 jumpscares at once so the Puppet Jumpscare cancelled the Freddy jumpscare without either jumpscare getting a chance to send the player to the game over screen since that part is delayed, but enough time to make the other functions of the jumpscare work normally, such as loss of control, and then the puppet, which cancelled the freddy jumpscare, comes in at 2:00 once the character's state of control changes and kills Spiff at 33:16
Spiff you should check out the "five tries at love" series, it's like a silly little fnaf dating simulator but pretty interesting and doesn't take that long
i just wanna say THANK YOU for making fnaf content and not being the stereotypical youtuber who yells and their viewers to subscribe. every single other channel that makes fnaf content somehow feels like theyre for children. ive looked everywhere for gameplay of this game and youre the first channel that didn't treat me like i was in a daycare.

A lil tip for anyone wanting this to play on a laptot. Put your screen resolution in the windows Option to 1920 x 1080. It usually fixes the issue with the paulbear scenes. Hope this helps anyone wanting to play on laptop!

I love the designs for the animatronics. They got the old chuck e cheese animatronic look down and I absolutely love it
I was zoning out during the vod so I heard 4:48 and thought he was asking someone how they knew that Glamrock Fred was his daddy. Had a massive head scratcher moment
>“Game just released so no one knew what they were doing.”
>immediately skips tutorial the moment he enters the game
"Red Rover, Red Rover" is the most Canadian thing you've ever said Spiff
This game looks really cool, love your videos Spiff. Like you don't know enough about the story but its still interesting and confusing at the same time. Visuals and sounds are really cool as well.
