You actually CAN buy the moon in Sand Kingdom- you just have to keep jumping and diving toward the ceiling of the shop near the desk, and eventually you will be able to talk to the purple shopkeeper. Buy a sombrero and put it on. After the animation plays, don’t move and just press A and you can talk to the yellow shopkeeper ! !

Early last year, I attempted this Run and ended up with only four necessary left stick inputs (one to do the wall jump in the Frog Room, one to do the dinosaur skip, and two in moon kingdom I will leave unspoiled for the next part to this). I've been wanting to talk about my run of this for so long. I did notice a few small details in this video that I want to talk about. First, I want to mention the way you avoided the zipper. You don't need to use the goombas to get up. You can just do a momentum triple jump. Secondly, you mentioned how that moon in Lost Kingdom was a trap which isn't entirely true. After a long time of trying to set it up, I managed to get the moon. Of course though, there is no way out once you do get it unless you position the camera extremely well when you collect the moon (since Mario always faces the camera once you grab one). Lastly, that jump in wooded kingdom. Oh boy... This is what I did for it th-cam.com/video/MyvCNQrqiX8/w-d-xo.html and I'm not gonna lie, seeing the way they did it in 6 minutes made me feel like an idiot since I too spent hours on this jump. That's about all I have, but I look foward to the next part. Especially to see if you cut down one of the inputs in Moon Kingdom much like you did the input I believed to be required in Cascade. Also, I should probably mention Bowser's Kingdom real quick. I'm sure you've already made it to here and understand how difficult it is. I'll refrain from going into a long ramble about it, but I mainly want to talk about the Pokio section with the blocky-slammy guys. I'm sure you already know this, but adjusting yourself on the Slammy dudes is extremely difficult. Not only that, but once you get past that and to the mecha brudal fight, it takes even longer to finish that! I completely forgot how difficult it was until I read the description to my New Donk City Hall video. New Donk City and Bowser Kingdom are definitely the two hardest kingdoms in the game.
List of Problems i found in the last kingdoms: 1. I cannot see the way to complete "a traditional festival" multi-moon 2. I cannot see a way to beat cookatail, or even move with a fireball 3. You have just enough time to beat the ruined dragon, befire it wakes up 4. i could not found a way to climb bowsers castle, not speaking of the showdown with the broodals 5. YOU CANNOT MOVE WITH BOWSER AT THE FINAL PART!!!!!

You can Buy moons from shops! If you Bump in to the wall a few times and then speak with the purple guy you are faicing him and if you do some backflips now you will land in the left corner if you roll now you can speak with the other guy ;)
Question: If the in the beginning you were forced to use the left stick once? Couldn't you just have never let go of the left stick from the very beginning, therefore resulting in a 1/2 Left Stick press?
It doesn't work like that since half presses can't come from the beginning of the game. Half presses are only for segments. The full game run count will be a whole number.

For the first frog joystick press, couldn't you just push the frog up against the wall, possess the frog, jump, then un-posess it while you're in the air and dive?

Question: If the in the beginning you were forced to use the left stick once? Couldn't you just have never let go of the left stick from the very beginning, therefore resulting in a 1/2 Left Stick press?
It doesn't work like that since half presses can't come from the beginning of the game. Half presses are only for segments. The full game run count will be a whole number.
A left stick press is a left stick press you can't say it's only half

I’m not sure about 2P, but the only way you can utilise the map is by using the left joystick.
menus aren't a problem u can use the up/down/left/right arrows
