Despite doing all these stylescapes , moodboards , etc client may still say how about trying this idea? just like Hamilton client did in building a brand series by futur , so always open to surprises , you never know whats there in client mind , actually Hamilton ended up with a logo that client wanted to avoid in the first place a "HOP". so knowing exactly what client wants still a mystery in few cases.

Facilitate your discovery calls to define a Brand Personality, by make him/her answer set of specific questions which helps him to adhere to the outcomes of the process. In this approach you can show him that you get only this output considering the fact that he himself has expressed his views by answering specifics and accepted that it is what is he honestly thinks. This process will not help you to comeup with THAT ONE OPTION all the time, it is more about keeping you/your designer/ design team and account manager and client to stay on common plane. And if at all you had to give more options, you have clear idea on which direction you need to look at and how to present it and you have a strong WHY to support yourself while you are sensitizing your client that both of you are supposed to adhere to the Brand personality.

I studied graphic design for a year and a half before quitting university ,and never been taught a single line of this video in it, the fact that you can waste lots of time in a private university without actually learning real life objectives like this one is scary and really brainwashing & programmed just to be an essential worker.
