      OleNasty79 Yes the 570 Sportsman would use the same clutch puller at the 500 HO Sportsman. You can use EPI number PCP-1 or PCP-12.

    What clutch for a 2015 etx with 26s or do I even need one for 26s

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Currently we do not sell a clutch kit for the ETX. We haven't had a chance to test that model. We test hat ever we can get our hands on, and are continually trying to add new models. Thanks for checking and hopefully we will have something soon.

    Hey so if i want ebs on a non ebs model do i have to change entire primary clutch

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would either have to change the primary clutch or at least remove the two way bearing and install a one way bearing. You would also need to replace the complete secondary clutch to the EBS style clutch. Im not sure if it can just be bolted on though, im not sure if the shaft coming out of the transmission is the same for both clutches. Its easier to remove ebs rather then add it.

    If I keep the stock tires size but change the tires waht clutch would I I get the stock size tire clutch or 27-28 kit? I have an sportsman and the tires are basically double weigh of the other tires.

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they are double the weight then you would want to go to the 27-28" tire kit even though yours are smaller. The 27-28" kit will make up for the power loss of the heavier tires.

    How tight do the clutch button screws need to be ?

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have the exact torque spec, always just done it by feel . They are small little bolts so not a whole lot. We have a service manual for the 570 and even that doesn't list a spec for the button bolts.

    I put a EPI clutch kit sport utility up to 28 inch tires almost a year-and-a-half ago finally blew a beltwhat do you suggest I do when I put a new belt on it do I run it in low gear at first or just keep it in high gear and take it

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For breaking in a new belt we would run 20-25 miles. Don't ride real agrressive, don't hold the throttle and speed in one spot, vary the speed and rpms up and down. Don't do any hard pulling or mudding. Basically trear it like you breaking in a new motor or machine. The nice you are the belt in the break miles the better and longer the belt will last. You can also wash the belt gently with dish soap when you first get it. And blow out and clean your clutches good also. Then your good to go!

    • @518localsundayriderzzzcran8
      @518localsundayriderzzzcran8 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I put the belt on sealed up the clutch case and everything nice and goodso I was rubbing the gas in park and when I let off the gas I'm hearing clicking noises could that be my weights loose or the bearing in between the clutch pieces

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@518localsundayriderzzzcran8 It could be the weights, or the one way bearing, or also the buttons on worn on the primary. I would take the clutch off and inspect it real good.

    I'm not sure what the difference between ebs and non ebs is. I know what they mean but unsure of the function. You said that this was a non ebs system however it's the same setup as my 2016 450 sportsman ho that has ebs. What is the difference between the kits and what happens if you use a kit designed for non ebs?

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      EBS clutches wil have round rollers that the helix rolls on instead of the plastic buttons that slide on the helix in non EBS clutches. Polaris uses about 10 different styles of clutches so they will vary a little depending on the models. On EBS clutches you do not preload the springs, you just compress them. So in most cases you cant interchange the spring and the helix between the two different style kits.

    • @TheLiljock42002
      @TheLiljock42002 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      EPIperformance ok after looking further into this the dealer specs state my quad is not ebs. however the clutch cover has ebs system on it. it's definitely not ebs after pulling the clutches out

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The clutch covers should interchange so maybe replaced your cover with a used on at some point??

    • @TheLiljock42002

    What does the different spring colors mean ??

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The springs are painted different colors to identify them. We make multiple springs both softer and stiffer to fine tune the clutches. The stiffer the springs means the higher the rpms.
