Then never pays lol
Watched this 10 years ago and never forgot this video. It started my passion for Japanese food and culture. Today watching it again. Yup. That's the best Yakiniku vid on youtube so far
Took me a while to find it again. Great stuff
So I was watching this video and said to myself, "hey, runnyrunny looks pretty nice in a soup." Then I realized I was mixed up from watching too many cooking videos, and I meant to compliment your SUIT. :/ :P
i nominate Runny Runny as Iron Chef and to TH-cam Hall Of Fame.
i love the retro-sounding japanese radio in the background. i could listen to that all day.
Classic. I still watch this today.
Ahh the good old days..
@ericsurf6 haha i've been watching the both of you since forever! back when runnyrunny only had 100 subscribers!!! i'm so happy to see the both of you collaborating and happily making videos still!

Ahhh yakiniku is so gooood!! I was freaked out by the fire in the middle the first time I had it haha XD This was a funny video too, I enjoyed it!
The origin of Yakiniku is Korea.
Until the 19th century, the Japanese did not eat meat for 1,200 years.
Because of Japan's Buddhist culture, it banned meat eating altogether. However, it was restricted to fish and shellfish to eat. On the other hand, South Korea had no limits on eating meat because it ruled Buddhism before the 20th century.
In the early 20th century, ethnic Koreans in Japan introduced Korean barbeque dishes in Japan. It is the origin of Yakiniku, Japan.
haha great vid runny!
I suck at cooking but I love watching these videos. The food looks so yummy. All I can make is sandwiches and cereal. ._.
I as well trying different cultural foods is amazing
I want to visit Japan one of these days and enjoy their culture.
That's making me so hungry right now!
1st time ive seen you wear something other then Abercrombie & Fitch Taro...lol! Now that's my kind of place to eat. Small mom and pop joint with amazing food. Those places are too rare these days...well at least here. Have a great week!

Great job with the editing ! You can take me to that restaurant anytime. Let's go downhill MTB next month!
Very entertaining.
@nunobelo
It depends on which yakiniku restaurant you go. This aging restaurant is cheep enough. It's like only 5 to 7 dollars for 1 plate which serves 2. Good deal :)
@cooksterz
I'd like that very much Cooksterz!
dang looks good gotta try it
@alexleyva22
Speaking of that part, sometime I talk like mean person when I speak in English...I was thinking about that part, too.
I loved yakiniku when I lived in Japan, I miss it now.

this vid is definitely the OG yakiniku vid on youtube
History lesson: Barbecue was found in the caribbeans when the spanish arrived in the new world. the word "barbacoa" in spanish was then forever used for grilling meats. It has evolved into many meanings and styles through all the cultures.
It looks so tasty, really cool video.greetings from germany
I like the place, that is excellent video runny thumps up
My boyfriend is the only person I've ever met who puts so much food in with one mouth-full... but I'm pretty sure his mouth is two times bigger than Taro's... I used to think it was his way of having time to think about what he wants to say. I stopped thinking that after a while. Now I just think he likes food. But it's a lot of fun to watch, so never change!
OMG I miss the Yakiniku in Misawa, Japan! Best food EVER!
I only got to try yakiniku once when I was there. So many different kinds of meat and veggies to grill. Best $30 I spent!
ive alwayssss wanted to try this
@gamzi89
Bone-less short rib, Ram, and the yellow stuff is pork gut.

@minraja this is one of the best food in Japan if you want a presentable place there are many in kochi (west of Japan) they serve it in set but it cost around 100 dollars there, they also serve it with a bunch of other stuff... but its really worth it.
love me some yakiniku and kbbq!!!
japan has the best local diners to eat it looks damn good
Mmmm, that looks so yummy! I wonder how that would be with my Sweet and Sour Sauce recipe?
Miss this, it's hard to find good yakiniki here in Atlanta. I used to eat it like...every week in Thailand.
