Compliments to the chef! That's some good work he's doing. I don't know that I would want to cook in front of an audience but he does it well. The food looks interesting but too pricey for me.
I'm in San Francisco, so things are obviously expensive here, but i agree that 120 for that meal, for two people, with such fantastic presentation and personal service is a fantastic deal. But my sense of pricing is definitely skewed.

at first I thought I'd still be hungry after eating this, but I'm always surprised by how elegantly satisfying Japanese and Korean food is. huge emphasis on nutrition and wonderful colours and flavours, not as carb-heavy as western food. it looks deceptively light. it's like the extra care and attention to detail really enriches the food!

I've been to one of these restaurants a few times. This is indeed a mastered skill! Love watching them! And, it's not just visual art, the food is always good!
i honestly think i would have left this place hungry - just because i would have forgotten to actually eat the food over watching the chef prepare it :P This was truly a delight to watch.
For what you paid, I dare say you got your money's worth of quality and presentation, as well as an appreciable amount of food, and that's a gold standard, eh? Mrs. Bacons was adorable as always and ugh, she is so PRETTY. Her happy smiling face always makes these videos complete. IMO.
The prices were right! I figured how much per item and it actually comes to about $80.00 each. Fresh high quality food, cooked by a chef to taste. This chef is the epitome of professionalism. The filmography and subtitles were on point. As usual, Mrs. Bacon's adorable enthusiastic smiling approval was the cherry on the top. I have to say that despite I respect Japanese culture, I find it still extrange that the chef would serve first Mr. Bacon and then Mrs. Bacon. In many cultures, this would have been done the other way around. I am still trying to assimilate this values. It is a cultural shock for me. Thank you for sharing. 🙏

I think my next trip to Japan will be a culinary tour starting from the Sapporo and going down to Fukuoka. We want to try the regional specialties for each Prefecture.
I heard these chefs take their jobs very seriously. They are like surgeons AKA doctors. But for your food. It's truly amazing to see how talented they are and how seriously they take their job. 🦐
I'm not big on the fine dining like experience, as someone who grew up poor, I find it a lot of times to be pretentious but for what you got I think it's a great value for the experience, I'd actually go there for it.

It took me a few minutes to register that those were Abalone because they were so small they'd never be allowed to harvest here in California. Of course, those looked like White Abalone which is no longer allowed to fish, but even when it was the shell had to be 7 inches (about 18 cm) on the long side.
Thank you very much for taking me along for a visual feast! I'm sure it was all very tasty :P That Chef's skills are very impressive :) Best wishes for the new year!
The best part of fried rice is the crispy stuff on the bottom of the pan when it’s made properly. And they do that and turn it into a garnish. Brilliant.
At first, I just clicked on a video not knowing what it was. Suddenly, her smile at 0:24 hit me and I gasped... "Dancing Bacons!" Life is good, thank you for sharing your journeys
You had the complete atmosphere of being treated special up to the dessert. The dehumidifier or air purifier next to you kind of ruins that. Also the mini cups of syrup + creamer seems to be low rent.
We don't eat konjac for its taste, it's meant to stabilize your gut, but is not a probiotic. It's popular for weight loss and children's jelly snacks despite being a choking hazard. I was very interested in the salad, which is always my favorite in teppan restaurants. Teppan and salad is heaven to me

The chef has the cleanest, nicest hands I’ve ever seen on a kitchen professional. When I’m working food service, my hands take on the qualities of a full grain leather… IF I use lotion. Otherwise, they’re more akin to beef jerky 😅
I'd rather spend $66 at Morton' or Ruth Chris's and get a real good steak. Hell with the artistry. All the teppanyaki chefs do the same stuff. Flip the salt shaker, make an onion volcano, flip the spatulas, etc.
@@ms.annthrope415Idk where you live but in my country this is obscenely cheap. Even if I go to a cheap restaurant I can expect to pay 40$ (for things like a hamburger and 2 drinks). Just these steaks would be 60$ easily.

I was more impressed with the way he removed the shell and de-veined the prawns than with some of the clacking and useless flash at some teppanyaki places. The beef course looked to be generous.
