    The real goat for making the EOD helm. I rocked this helm back in the glory days of reach and it was amazing

    Is there a way to add a fully functional filter repirator?

    • @isaacdprojects
      @isaacdprojects  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t doubt it, with enough drive I’m sure it can be 3D modeled and integrated into the helmet

    I'm trying to print an emile helmet from reach, and because of the odd shape of the visor, I'm not sure how to make it functional. any tips?

    • @isaacdprojects
      @isaacdprojects  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a tough one, I bought a vacuum former to try and see if I can do some helmets like that. But try looking at the blogs posted by Aguilar Workshops on making a resin cast of Emile's helmet. It's basically printing a negative and pouring resin. It's more cost-effective, but I'm sure some trial and error to get it perfect

    love EOD, currently working on a H3 EOD chest model rn
    also why did some of your prints have tape on them in the printer?

    • @isaacdprojects
      @isaacdprojects  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! And for me I like putting the tape on the brim to better secure the print. So I don’t chance it becomes unstuck from the print bed or shifting too much since I have 3 printers running on one shelf with its vibrations

    How much filament rolls did you need?

      I used about 1 1/2 spools of Zyltech PLA filament

    You should try doing the ODST reach helmet next

      That’s the plan! Just narrowing down which iteration since each game varies slightly

    Absolutely love this stuff I’m actually making my own spartan suit from halo reach right now I’d love to see you make a chest piece or lights on the helmet! Thanks for the content! Keep up the amazing work. You inspire me.

    You might’ve already answered this but what kind of 3D printer do you have?

    • @isaacdprojects
      @isaacdprojects  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Currently, I have a Bambu Carbon X1, but I printed this helmet with a Cr-10 V3

    How much do you sand before the primer? I'm making a mark v zeta helmet and very close to having all of the pieces printed.

    • @isaacdprojects
      @isaacdprojects  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I sand once each face of the print, 80 Grit is pretty coarse, so it gets the job done fast. It also lets the primer fill evenly once it's sprayed. Hope this helps! Best of luck on your Mark V Zeta!

    Did you scale your helmet up or down? I started printing this at its regular size and i couldn’t get my ears comfortably over the "bucket bottom" piece (it was the first piece I printed) so i upscaled it by 10 percent and now im scared ill look like a bobble head lol and also do you add any foam to the inside?

    • @isaacdprojects
      @isaacdprojects  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve always feared this too! For me I didn’t have to upscale it luckily, but my ears did catch too. I avoided this afterward by putting on a helmet mask thats like a painter spray sock. This kept my ears tucked and I was able to fit my head into the helmet. Especially with the EOD helmet I found it’s larger then most helmets so it’s one of the tougher ones to eliminate that risk of bobbleheadism lol

    Im trying to make my own so heres a question. How did you make the helmet fit? I mean how did you mesure your face to print the helmet?

    • @isaacdprojects
      @isaacdprojects  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So it’s kind of a long winded answer so hopefully this makes sense. I had a 3D scan of my head I took with my phone, I scaled the scan to match the size of my head in Meshmixer. Once I did that I know import the helmet files over and see if it’ll fit my head. Sometimes I slice the helmet in half from top to bottom so I can see how much room I have for padding.

      Hopefully this helps! If not I can try planning to make a short video summarizing the process
