A buddy of mine wrote his Master's thesis about the use of parody in dystopian literature, specifically on the example of Warhammer 40.000's book series "the Horus Heresy". It was a very interesting read, but I wonder whether some of his profs felt like Windu in this scene
The Shaak Ti bit at the end is even funnier the more you delve into it. There's two deleted scenes in _Revenge of the Sith_ where she dies, but earlier in Genndy Tartakovsky's _Clone Wars,_ Shaak Ti was killed by Grievous twice, in both season finales, but they backpedaled both times. The first time, they showed that she survived at the start of Season 2, apparently having changed their minds between seasons, and the second time, they put in a shot of her surviving at the last minute. The more digging you do, them more times Shaak Ti dies.

God I love this follow up to the other video. And it gives Anakin clear motive to become a dark lord - after all, people have to listen to your thesis if you will murder them otherwise.
If you look at Depa Billaba's Wookieepedia photo, you can tell it was taken right before she decided to jump. That is the blank-faced stare of a woman whose soul has been eroded away by constant dichotomy.
Thought she killed herself after Grievous asked Shaak ti if anakins thesis was as bad as it it was rumored to be and wanted to make a point. But I guess that's not canon either
Heard another version where Shaak Ti killed herself when reading the Thesis and Anakin walked in the room, but she used the force to ignite his Lightsaber and get ran through the back. Once again, Anakin came from behind!
That’s actually what happened. Anakin ignited his lightsaber so they wouldn’t get away but they all ran into it anyway after he started narrating his thesis to them.

I now wonder if Mace Windu continues living just to keep Anakin from talking about his thesis or refuses to become a force ghost jusy on the chance of finding Anakin in the afterlife.
"What if you all die or disappear?" So now we truly know why Anakin supported Order 66. As Vader, he goes around reciting his entire thesis on dichotomy to the remaining Jedi that survived and not a single one has been able to resist killing themselves. He truly is the greatest Jedi hunter that has ever lived.
I feel like Anakin would be VERY interested to know that the Force presents a false dichotomy. The Light side demands that you sacrifice your sense of self to the will of the Force, to become an agent of it will. The Dark side fills you with a blind desire for power that erodes away at your sense of self, turning you into a husk to be controlled by the Force. The only way to maintain your individuality and sense of choice is to never pursue power via the Force. There is no middle path to walk; you have to commit to one side or the other only to be rewarded with the same slavery.

It's 3 hours of thesis. That was extended to 10 hours. Literally 1 day to hear Anakin thesis. And afterwards ask questions.Thats like watching Star wars from Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi. Non stop
Thats about a week of only talking about Anakin Thesis. Without stop
I'm amazed how much Windu's speech feels exactly like a Samuel L Jackson rant from a Tarantino movie or something. Specific words and phrases "explicitly" "then, and only then, are you allowed to discuss it". Same kind of large vocab coupled with commanding tone.
Yeah it works so well to hear Windu as a less censored Samuel L Jackson character, and the writing was spot-on
Motherfucker i haven't slept for 2 days
@@スガル you doing alright there Mari?
A buddy of mine wrote his Master's thesis about the use of parody in dystopian literature, specifically on the example of Warhammer 40.000's book series "the Horus Heresy".
It was a very interesting read, but I wonder whether some of his profs felt like Windu in this scene
Oh my god did u link this to him? XD this and the scene in the opera with anakin and palpatine?
Is there any chance of getting this Thesis? I am genuinely interested
Hey uh.... any way I can read this thesis?
The Shaak Ti bit at the end is even funnier the more you delve into it. There's two deleted scenes in _Revenge of the Sith_ where she dies, but earlier in Genndy Tartakovsky's _Clone Wars,_ Shaak Ti was killed by Grievous twice, in both season finales, but they backpedaled both times. The first time, they showed that she survived at the start of Season 2, apparently having changed their minds between seasons, and the second time, they put in a shot of her surviving at the last minute. The more digging you do, them more times Shaak Ti dies.
Then she survives order 66 to be killed by star killer.
"That's legal precedent now"
I'm fucking choking from laughing 😂
"Shaak Ti killed herself because of the thesis too, But that was in the deleted scene so it might not be canon." LMFAO
0:08 I’m sorry but the funniest part of this is just the half second of Anakin screaming “YAY!”
Obi just had to be a dick and mention Shaak Ti in the end 😂
It's the perfect ending
It made me laugh so hard
The way Luke brings this Anakin back to the light with is a genuine interest in his thesis
"Depa Billaba killed herself halfway through"
Dear god i almost fell from my chair laughing.
I love the implication that no one trought to stop the thesis at that point. Even when somebody in the audience KILLED THEMSELVES 😂.
Which leaves us to assume that Anakin's defense of the thesis was impeccable on every level.
They were so distracted trying to maintain their own wills to live to even notice in the moment.
That was a risk they couldn't afford to take; if they stopped him then, he might have to start from the beginning again later.
Why do you think he's a skilled duelist as well? He must defend his thesis with his merits, both eloquently and physically.
2:22 thats such a perfect image there :D
Does anyone have a copy of Master Windu's thesis? "Swear Words and Their Increasing Use, Connotation, and Significance in Modern Galactic Basic: A Focus on "F***" and its Derivatives.". Asking for a friend.
"And how Darth Plageius' apprentice was a little bitch"
No one can handle listening to his thesis 😂
I can imagine him talking to Luke on Bespin. "Luke, you do not yet understand my thesis. Obi-wan never told you about dichotomy!"
**Luke jumps
Ahh..the beauty of this meta-narrative where the thesis culminates in the dichotomous choice of the Council Jedis.. a life of torture or the sweetness of death.
Shaaki Ti also killed herself after Vader's apprentice talked her ear off about the Thesis. But like Obi-Wan said, that might not be canon.
I love how in this universe starkiller just runs around and screams the thesis at people to kill them lmao
@@RamielEdits Screaming is a STRONG word.
@@loveroffunnyy To be fair Starkiller does scream a lot.
Cant wait for a 3 hour long seminar of Anakin telling a lecture on dichotomy and its aspect on understanding life to a bunch of younglings
What they showed us in the movies was an abbreviation meant to spare the viewers
Master skywalker their are too many of them what are we going to do?
Listen to my thesis
@@AquaFan1998I think they rather want to be slaughtered then listen to his thesis.
Well then, slaying them with a lightsaber was actually a mercy?
That’s actually what happened. Anakin ignited his lightsaber so they wouldn’t get away but they all ran into it anyway after he started narrating his thesis to them.
Order 66 was just the clones sharing Anakin’s thesis to the Jedi
Order 66 was carried out early because the clones found out about the thesis. Palpatine didn't even order it.
@@michaeledmunds7056In that case why was Anakin spared
@@austinestep8461 He wrote the thing, he can actually stand it and debate it for hours on end.
@@mat8791You merely acquired my thesis, but i was the one to write it!
I think these 'Anakin's Thesis' videos are my favorite Prequel comedy/parody videos on TH-cam. Love Mace Windu's rant and also that the door is left open for more..."What if you all die or vanish?" Can't wait for 'Anakin's Thesis: Dissertation of the Heroes' or 'Anakin's Thesis: Rogue One Edition'. 😂
Battle of the heroes would be a long chat about dichitomy
Anakin's thesis audio disc was one of the weapons of mass destruction filed away on Scarif.
Maybe that's why Mace Windu later dies. Palpatine knows about this whole conversation, and Anakin wouldn't save him normally...so he had to resort to asking about the thesis, which led to Mace Windu throwing himself out the window rather than get pushed out by Palpatine.
"And for that alone, I welcome the sweet embrace of death!"
Holy crap I love the Anakin Jedi Thesis arc. In the last video someone mentioned doing a continuation of it as Darth Vader and Palpatine in the original trilogy. PLEASE make that.
This is comedy gold. Thank you so much.
As a side note Shaak Ti is dichotomy herself so she cannot die or be killed or even be physically harmed
I prefer the version of Shaak Ti’s death where it was Darth Vader’s secret apprentice who recited the thesis to her.
Anakin's thesis is very important to me.
It's pretty important to me too
Depa Bilaba: i just want to DIE!
Anakin: ...chotomy
Unironically this is still more apt politicking from Windu than the actual canon story
The shaak ti bit killed me lol she has like what three deaths two in movies one in comic?
you forgot the one in the force unleashed
Dies twice in Revenge of the Sith deleted scenes and one in Force Unleashed. She also dies in a vision yoda gets in Clone Wars
Palpatine setting up a legal precedent about Jedi masters and windows is gold.
I can't fully penetrate Master Windu's colorful metaphors.
What metaphor? I think he was speaking dead literally.
@@DKNguyen3.1415
It was a nod to the first minute or so of another "Seals are Good" video, the one entitled "Anakin has a doctorate in Darth Plageius the Wise Studies".
@@mathboy8188 Don't think I've seen that one because I'm too busy rewatching the Count Dooku ones.
"Shak'Ti also died, but that was in a deleted scene, so it might not be canon"
This is the best line, I love that Shak'Ti always dying in deleted scenes is a running joke in the star wars fandom.
That Depa Billaba thing came out of nowhere and I love it. Just a brilliant video all around
"The 37th time - TODAY -" got me immediately 😂
Shaak ti at this point is schrodinger's cat but for star wars "unless geroge Lucas confirms which one, she is either dead or dead"
I like how this sets up Mace Window getting chucked out the window later as going to be automatically ruled a suicide, because Depa Bilaba's death was ruled a suicide by Palpatine in the inquiry into her death.
Shaak Ti hated it so much she killed herself like 3 times
It's her own Hell
I love how Windu was the one inspired Anakin to study the story and now he’s the one giving this dressing down about the thesis.
As Windu have Palpatine defeated on the border of the window he says.
Windu: Any last words Chancelor?
Palpatine: Yes, Anakin, can you tell me about your thesis please?
Anakin: Finally i can talk about this, you know its really interesting the dichotomy of...
Windu: Oh hell naw (jumps out the window)
Anakin: .... What have i done?!
"...for that reason alone!" slayed me. Such a satisfactory addition to that humorously extensive clarification!
“I don’t understand how somebody falling so fast was able to be heard so clearly!”
"Master Skywalker"
It sounds so good. Really could have helped keep him on the light side.
Rumour has it that Ahsoka abandoned the Jedi Order because of the thesis too, and went on a quest of self-discovery that spanned 3 different TV spinoffs and a videogame.
Maybe anakin can give a thesis on how her killing him in the end is emblematic of the repeating nature of the darth plaguis tale, how its truely a testament to now it isnt just a tale but a repeating cycle that must be studied and learnt from is anyone hopes to avoid that fate. That anakin becomes the metaphorical interpretation of the sith lord and so too does ahsoka become the same for the apprentice that kills. Its truely a fascinating event. 😂
And a book that's no longer canon.
Ahsoka was his research assistant. She left the order to get away from it all.
Damn I wish we had an Ahsoka game.
0:41 lol this caught me off guard XD
One of these days we need the actual unabridged 2 hour long thesis. (With the half hour side tangent)
why do i want to actually read that tesis now?
I once read a philosophy book that was shockingly similar. I'm sure similar works are a dime a dozen if you know where to look.
@@r3dp9 Try reading a thesis deconstructing a work of philosophy. I recommend any attempt to deconstruct Nietzsche's "Beyond Good and Evil", because if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.
A specific recommendation is "SELF-DECONSTRUCTION: Nietzsche's Philosophy as Style" by Babette E. Babich, if you can manage to get your hands on a copy. I unfortunately cannot guarantee your continued mental stability, should you find it.
Gonna ask Dooku to keep his scary fingies poised until "bemulleted" is added to the dictionary.
I've rewatched this a couple dozen times at this point. It's quickly become one of my favorite videos on this platform. The only thing that would make this even funnier is if, at the end, a youngling ran in and said "Master Skywalker! I have a question about your thesis!"
Obi-Wan: “Seriously Anakin. Smart or Dumb. Pick one.”
Obi-Wan breaking the 4th wall with his last line caught me off guard.
11/10 Video will recommend.
Anakin trying to weasel himself into the "doctor" title at the end killed me 😂😂
1:53 Wace last words
You know, if they had listened to the entire thesis and discussed the story together, MAYBE THEY WOULD HAVE AVOID EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
I can already imagine Palpatine saying "ANAKIN, HELP ME, HELP ME AND I WILL TELL YOU WHO KILLED DARK PLAGUEIS THE WISE"
I love Anakin's "Yay"
I like to think Yoda is just out of shot in his chair in a middle of a drug induced coma.
I'm loving the continuation of Anakin and his thesis. Maybe one day we'll get the full thing, all 2.5 hours of it XD
Okay so which one takes precedence, the honorary rank of Master, or the academic rank of Doctor?
I need to know, do I refer to him as Doctor Master Skywalker or Master Doctor Skywalker?
I just don't wanna be on the receiving end of the Youngling-Slayer 9000 here.
Master Doctor implies he is a master at being a doctor so doctor master sounds more right
Dude, for these types of videos (AI dubs with subs), you are by FAR my favorite!! PLEASE keep going!!!
This is legit the best AI shit I've ever heard.
I now wonder if Mace Windu continues living just to keep Anakin from talking about his thesis or refuses to become a force ghost jusy on the chance of finding Anakin in the afterlife.
“Is… is this because of my thesis?”
The way the AI delivers this line has me in tears
"What if you all die or disappear?"
So now we truly know why Anakin supported Order 66.
As Vader, he goes around reciting his entire thesis on dichotomy to the remaining Jedi that survived and not a single one has been able to resist killing themselves.
He truly is the greatest Jedi hunter that has ever lived.
It took forever to find one Comment about this. That line was gold and everyone is talking about windows or shaak ti.
"am I happy? What an interesting question" is the exact response I would expect out a English or Philosophy student after submitting their thesis
I'm more impressed with how you were able to basically write a well-structured research paper and its all for a star wars meme
Anakin giving Mace a precedent of a jedi master throwing themself out of a window is a great subtle reference
Loving Obi Wan's sassy voice. He really does enjoy mocking Anakin.
I want this whole “Thesis saga” put into one long form video
I feel like Anakin would be VERY interested to know that the Force presents a false dichotomy.
The Light side demands that you sacrifice your sense of self to the will of the Force, to become an agent of it will.
The Dark side fills you with a blind desire for power that erodes away at your sense of self, turning you into a husk to be controlled by the Force.
The only way to maintain your individuality and sense of choice is to never pursue power via the Force. There is no middle path to walk; you have to commit to one side or the other only to be rewarded with the same slavery.
Can we just hear him say his entire thesis and it slowly becomes darth Vader voice as it goes on
"Oh, Shaak Ti dies in a lot of deleted scenes." - Anakin Skywalker.
For april 1st I expect a chatGPT generated 10 hour reading of anakin's thesis.
