We forgot to mention how awesome the new BMW Brakes are straight from the BMW Racing engineering. Brembo's might be great but these new BMW Calipers I think are better.
By far the best review of this bike. Would love to have your opinion here. I currently have a 2022 R1250RS in white/red and absolutely love the way it performs and looks. However I’m heavily considering this MXR and trading in the RS. Is this engine really that much more remarkable compared to the boxer even at lower RPM’s? I want to do even more aggressive riding as I’m maxing out on the RS already. Is it worth not having the shaft drive?
First let me caveat by saying that everyone have differing preferences. I have never ridden a R1250RS but have heard from some very credible sources that it is a wonderful sport touring piece. My opinion is that the MXR will take everything to another level, possibly two levels EXCEPT the exceptional low end grunt out of corners as lower RPM, but that can be easily countered by keeping the tack above 5000. If you have the dough you will not be disappointed by the MXR. Cheers!
Love your videos maestro! I have a tuonov4 of 2019… thinking to replace it with a pikes peak v4 or multi RS or this MXR.. What’s your opinion on this? I really love my tuono regarding the torque and playfulness.. those big bikes can give you this fulfilment? Thank you
I have not yet ridden the V4 Multi's as of yet. I have a friend who has an RS and may get the opportunity at some point. Your Tuono will outhandle them all though. It is one of, if not the best all around bikes on the market. As you may recall, in this very video, I said if I could only have two bikes one would be the MXR and the other would be a Tuono. A very tough decision you have and I am afraid I may have made it just a little tougher! 😁
Great video and review! Interesting that you picked this and the Tuono as your two bikes if you can only have two and money wasn't an issue. Is it because the Tuono is closer to the sport bike segment (e.g., good front end feel) while being comfortable while the MXR is closer to the touring segment (e.g., very comfortable) while being sporty?
Yes exactly. If you watch my Tuono videos or the Max Wrist video where he is chasing, the Tuono can hold its own with the very best. I could probably be talked into an M1000RR as a complement to the XR if money was no object though. Here's a like to the Max video. Cheers!! th-cam.com/video/NL1yvP50K_c/w-d-xo.html
As I have never been behind my MXR , I noticed that the rear directional's blinked quickly as I was applying throttle and when I was closing the throttle the directional's would light up like I was braking. Who knew?
Hi Nice video. I have about 1800 miles on my MXR, what do you think about that flat spot at like 4K RPM, seems like a tune is pretty mandatory on the US spec bikes. Feels like my GSA pulls harder in that range. Otherwise, i love the bike. I live off Aliso Cyn, so know the area well.
My old pals. We had some great rides.

That's awesome. Salute from another XR owner. What is the brand for the radar locator you're using on the bike?:)
As far as I know bmw branded brakes are made by Nissin…
@@umutozk It is an Escort MAX Radar detector that I use a TPX H.A.R.D wireless visual Radar Alert for my helmet that triggers an LED.
Grande Maestro...

Nice video ❤. I own a regular 2022 S1KXR tuned. I'm already into the M version, but KC from Alhambra doesn't want me to buy it, lol. 😢

@@themaestro1881 Love seeing a Tuono ridden how it was meant to be ridden. You made us Tuono owners proud (:

Sorry for the delayed response. I did not notice it when I rode the bike. Perhaps a Bren Tune may be in order?
👏
who has this bike in the US, I can't seem to find one anywhere....
That I am unable to help you with my friend. I just ride them. Cn't even think about buying one at the moment! Good Luck though.
Put your deposit down on a 2025 like I did. I heard only 22 units made it to the
United States this year.
One thing I don’t like about the bike is the $$$$
Probably if you install the stuff by yourself, it's gonna cost higher. :))
as a older guy riding this bike...your nuts are always right into the back of the gas tank....
