I too went all out for Flick and CJ! Flick is 100% my favorite NPC of all time; so when I pulled him in a pack I went 1000% all in on the build. Oh and speaking of NPC's you get as a package; if you scan Kapp'n, you get his whole family: Wife, grandma, and daughter.

Even after you finish the 30 homes, there's still more to unlock in the DLC! So far, I've unlocked more uniforms, soundscapes, and even a new public area after what I thought was the "endgame" of the DLC

If you finish the donations for the hospital you get to add a patient ward too. Found that out last night lol

Here's another tip for the hospital, but it's a two-step process. First - you need to buy turnips from Daisy Mae on your island on Sunday's. Then on Monday - go and visit your hospital. Joan (Daisy Mae's grandma) will be in the hospital due to what she says is her sore knees from picking the turnips. She will then give you a random number of turnips for talking to her (I think from 10-100, I got 100 today). This will likely help with one of two things, your turnip Stalk Market, or the new turnip DIY food recipes.
You don't need to buy turnips on the Sunday at all. I never buy anymore and Joan always gives me between 30-100 turnips every Monday.

I just found out if you build a certain number of 2 story homes, you can expand your facilities. The Cafe gets a gallery and the restaurant gets a private room!

I think that just happens automatically after building 30 homes? On my 33rd or 34th home I was given the option to build the cafe gallery, but I've only built two homes so far that have a second story. I heard the other facilities all get an extra room so I figured the extra rooms were unlocks you get when building homes 30-40
@@BoshiYoshi for the restaurant second story you have to have a certain number of roommates, actually! As for the hospital you have to donate money :)

Well, I'll probably do that eventually, but for the moment I may just not worry about it because my restaurant theme doesn't really make sense having a second story since it's a fast food restaurant and I really don't like hospitals so I'm not that enthused over building more hospital stuff. :P
I've never built a 2 story home and I upgraded my cafe a while ago, it's just after a certain amount of homes
And the restaurant upgrade is after you give at least 3 villagers roommates

One thing I noticed was that if you exit and save the game in the middle of designing, when you go back, you will be able to continue working on the clients house

@@Falliiing If she finished up when unfinished, then returns the next day to 'redecorate' and complete it, they give you more poki too, so good way to get your kid off!
Of all the things of this video, the one that makes me lose my mind was Tiansheng wanting a peach theme home, where he can eat all the peaches. It looks like something simple, but was you may know, he is inspired by the famous character monkey king Sun Wukong, from the chinese classic Journey to the West. At some point early in the history, he was given the charge of tending the garden of peaches of imortality in the heavens (and impulsively eats all of them). This game dude, this game!

The teacher will give you a pink/white plumeria start each day that you talk to them. I just tried it recently 😁
To anyone that hasn't completed the story on the archipelago yet, DO IT AT NIGHT. Design the last facility at night. I don't want to spoil, but SERIOUSLY. You WILL NOT regret it 😬😬😬

What does it do?
Yeah I finished during the day and instantly regretted it when I realized what was going on 😔.. I still thoroughly enjoyed it tho.
Quick thing: The villagers following you on HHP are the ones who recognize you as a designer and want you to make then a vacation home. Gives you 10% more on the payment for that house :) It’s a 1% chance of that when you hit 30 houses, and that increases to 10% waaaay later.
When looking through the catalog while designing, press the right thumb stick and you can skip through catrgories within categories. This is helpful when you're in clothes and wanna go straight to dress up or hats, or in furniture you wanna go straight to tables or sinks, whatever.

I suppose it’s known that Grandma Joan will visit the hospital every Monday pm and she’ll give us 30 turnips for free if we greet her; also you could swim round the island to be closer to KK’s float or others’ floats, but can’t do diving.

I loved these! I just started playing and didn’t know I could do all of that! Also, Flick is my favorite NPC and when you showed that CJ comes with him, I almost cried. It’s the most precious thing ever.
So I’m still kinda newbie(ish) 🥺 lol how do you get flick (he’s my fave NPC as well) over? What would you do with the amibo thingy to get him or anyone over? What do u put in? Lol I’m so lost
You can also change the stone type by pressing X like how you do with trees and plants, and same goes for bridges and inclines that are included in the plots!! It took me a few days to figure that out ~~
When I invited my villagers, I noticed some are asleep on the island when they are asleep at home and I can't wake them! I initially made one of my villagers the doctor and another the retail worker. I couldn't get a check up or buy clothes until I swapped them with off-island animals. Sometimes my cranky would be in the restaurant sleeping, but I just assumed it was because he was a grumpy old man.
However, both my restaurant and cafe villager employees are awake and working fine.
I have Marshal working in my cafe and he fell asleep on the job :')
I have one of my villagers working at the Cafe too. When I walk in they automatically welcome you, and that counts towards my nook miles for talking to 3 x villagers that day 😂

You can also invite employees of your facilities to K.K. Slider's concert. When you do, they will bring their customers with them. Works for Lottie, Neko and Waddell as well.
If the village follows you and you design their home, you get a Poki bonus for being asked for by name

To clarify, there are no cooking recipes that you can *only* get at the restaurant. In fact, there are literally no DIYs, cooking or otherwise, that you need the DLC for. That said, getting a bottle recipe and a cooking recipe every day in HHP obviously makes it faster to find them all.
Also, it's incorrect (or at least incomplete) to say that the HHP clients will give you their floor/wall when you talk to them after making the house. You have to spend at least 20 minutes making their house (if you let the controller sit for more than a minute, it will go idle and stop the 20 minute timer) and then when you finish they will have an additional text line like, "Wow, you've given so much of your time to my vacation home!" or similar. Only then will they give you their wall, flooring, or a rug (chosen at random I believe?) when you talk to them next. If you don't see them on the beach the next day, you can also visit them at their house to talk to them and get the floor/wall/rug. As a little tip, if you want a specific floor/wall/rug you can add the item you want and then leave everything else as the default. For example, add a palace flooring but don't add any rugs and leave the walls as the default wall. Then you'll be guaranteed to get that palace flooring from the villager the next day. This is a great way to get a specific wall or floor that you've unlocked in HHP but have never seen from Sahara. If you search for an item (such as the floors, wall, etc.) on nookipedia, you'll be able to see which villagers houses unlock that item for use in HHP.

So I think a plot can only take up to 4 separate homes…I still think I’m going to run out so I started the dlc with one of my other players, and since we can have multiple players on our island I can cycle through every villager…eventually

Something I haven't seen mentioned in the comments yet is how you can release bugs you have in your pockets to let them roam around the island you're designing and recollect any bugs around too. Watchin' all the butterflies flappin' around
you can also use 4 out of the 6 snowy plots without snow on them as well. changing the season gets rid of the snow
When you sit on the rock on the right on the cliff on the mainisland it will actually give you a different POV for the beach below, it's super adorable, especially during the festival xx

After I saw that you could invite to dance, I got curious and went to talk to my facility workers since I was sad that they always miss the party. Turns out you can also invite them to the dance party too! I went to my cafe during the party and spoke to Chief (one of my cafe workers) and it gave me the "let's dance" option. It started the dance party with him, Kiki (my other cafe worker) and every other NPC who was currently in the cafe when I asked. That made me happy.
Something else not mentioned: You can buy exclusive DJ KK apparel from the clothing store during the concert. And when everyone is dancing, you can swap between four different dance moves by pressing up, down, left or right on the D-pad. When you do, after a few seconds, the whole group will turn to face you and start copying your dance move, so you can lead the dance!
I'm sorry if someone already pointed this out: you can use an Amiibo to invite Lottie to build her a vacation home -- her response is hilarious.
Just the dancing with Wilbur and Niko make the DLC worth it.

When CJ said that his partner is an artist who does commissions I automatically assumed that he meant Flick that they were fruity partners
You can also buy the souvenir chocolates and give them to your residents and then they will come to paradise island and you can design them a vacation home as well
i built a house for daisy mae and she brought joan with her, it was such a cute surprise, i had so much fun building for them
You can go into any facility during music festival and ask them to dance. Hospital, Cafe, restaurant, school, and clothing shop.
Animal Crossing really is one of the few games that I consider to be perfect. They truly know their audience and they’ve thought of everything. So much detail and love goes into their games and it just makes me happy to play it. 🥺❤️
some stuff ive noticed in HHP, but havent seen anyone else mention anywhere. not that ive been keeping too close an eye on the tips and tricks for AC for a while now. but i thought i might as well share stuff i think is fun/informative about the DLC ^^
the moss and vines grow at 2 vine/moss per day. so not really faster than capn islands. at least for me, ive gotten one capn island per week which yields like 10 vines/20 moss per visit? i think. but yes, depends mostly on how lucky/unlucky you are with the capn tours
apparently you can meet turnip joan in the hospital on mondays? at least i met her on a monday and she said it's her regular check up time there :p
i havent seen anyone mention this, but nat can appear on your beaches and teach you about bugs and how to implement the bugs to your builds. he even gives you a tiger butterfly that you can use on your next build. ps the butterflies need to be caught by you on your island and arent taken from your critterpedia collection or something
about the villager gifts on the north beach. they seem to be giving out gifts that were USED in their vacation house builld. im not certain about this, so do keep an eye out if this is the case yourself ^^
the clothing store also sells clothes, like the cafe and restaurant. and the school seems to also have occasional perks when speaking with the teacher? that one im unclear on as well
(you can also invite so very many villagers out to dance as well. if theyre working in your stores or HHP)
but yeah ^^ hope these things ive noticed help anyone
If you have Wlbur's amino, and you finished doing the task, you can go to him and he'll talk about various things! Eg. Him feeling lucky that hes able to both fly and settle in land, talk about his passengers and his experiences, etc!

If you get some of the chocolates at the HHP Island and give one of them to a villager on your island, you can go back with them immediately to do a vacation home for them :) also go and talk to all of your previous customers on the beach at the back at the island and they will give you either walls or floors as a thank you!

I did not know about the fanning yourself feature, and I suspected but have now been reassured about the ability to use an island spot multiple times for different villager/islander. Also didn't know about the NPC inviting a partner NPC to stay with them! That is adorable!
When a vacationer follows you, if you stop and agree to do a vacation home for them you get extra pay. Lottie tells you the bonus is because the person asked for you by name.
When you visit a vacation home that you designed, you can remodel it. You get paid 5000 poki if you just remodel the interior and somewhat more if you do both the interior and exterior. Since you can change one thing about the home and it counts as being remodeled (for instance, add a soundscape, polish a furniture item, etc.), it's an easy way to earn poki. It's especially nice if you have been saving up money for a big ticket item in the catalog, but you're still somewhat short. You can do one or two quick remodelings and finally buy the item.
During the K.K. DJ event, your avatar just stands there during the slide show of the homes you've designed. However, it turns out that the same buttons on the left of the controllet that you use to change tools can now be used to dance. The top button does the 'soak it in' gesture. The left button does the 'groove left' and the right button does the 'groove right'. Because the menu of reactions doesn't pop up, it actually looks like you are just changing up your moves while you are dancing. This only works during the K.K. event while you are on the beach in front of him. I discovered it by accident.

One thing not mentioned in your video is that during the music festival, your dance moves are mapped to your controller. There's 4 mapped to the D-pad and pressing Y cycles through the rest. You can change your moves during the cutscene and you can turn in any direction - you just can't walk/run around. I spent about an hour playing around with this one night...

I invited CJ to HHP, and I was surprised he brought Flick as his roommate. Kinda wish he brought Chip. Kinda like how, when you invite Daisy Mae, she brings Joan...
The items in the café also appear randomly at Nook's Cranny but I love how interactive the facilities are even though sadly there are way fewer of them than there were in HHD.
Flicks and CJ aren't the only ones that come together, i invited Daisy Mae and she brought Joan with her hehe it was so cute. I'm sure others can come together for a house but they're the only ones i know of so far
also spoilers but if you donate pokis to the hospital you expand it upstairs with a patient ward and with the cafe you expand it too by making an art gallery upstairs as well:D

I discovered a lot of that recently. Also there are some things you get after 30 houses, the teacher at the school can hand you bushes and if you work for an animal who requests you by name you do get extra pay.

I’ve been collecting the glowing moss from the archipelago since I started HHP, and I love it so much that I just place it on my island to give it an extra flair 😆
another good to know fact about the hospital; every Monday you can meet Joan inside, she will give you free turnips! The first time I got 30 and the second time I got 50. Not sure she gives you more on the third visit, so if you don't wanna spend bells on turnips this is an easy way to get some for free or just, get more turnips in general.

Well I feel better now. I’m 56 years old, love the game but yeah, I also teared up when I had the dance party and also danced with Wilbur. I think any of them will dance with you if you ask. I THINK I remember asking another Npc for whom I designed a house. I can’t quite remember if it worked. Love the videos; I restarted an island which sometimes I think was a mistake because of the time spent getting stuff but thanks to your videos and ideas, I’m finally putting together a halfway pretty island! Worth mentioning here (and you may say this in another video), take some souvenir chocolates home for a villager, the reaction is adorable.

You can set up roomates. Even after you have assigned them to separate islands. Just approach one islander, ask how they like their home. Suggest they need a room ate. You can use candy from HHP to build homes for your islanders. Sometimes I just didnt find anyone that day I wanted to build for.
