It was sooo worth it, i've only decorated 15 homes or so but i've spent so much time on it already. Makes decorating my island even more special knowing the ideas i can't fit there can still be created in home paradise.
if you give a villager on your island, a box of souvenir chocolate, they'll ask to visit the island, and then you can talk to them and design a vacation home for them!!!!
The DLC is ABSOLUTELY worth it! I “beat” it and continue to go back to design more and more home then go back and redo some of my earlier pieces because I unlocked new stuff or am really into a new style. And once you “beat” the game, you can REDECORATE YOUR MAIN ISLAND VILLAGER HOMES.
Remember you need to have the DLC if you want to customize your villager homes. Some people seem to be confused as to why its not available. The reason is because you need to have make 30 Homes at the Resort and build all of the Facilities and then when you see a Special NPC show up, go back to Resident Services and Tom Nook will give you permission to Customize villager homes and its also important to note that Isabelle can also revert villager homes back to normal if you go under "Discuss Resident" and there is a option called "The Way their Home Looks" so if you hate that starter villager home I suggest doing this because it will revert the villagers home back to normal. This is not available in the vanilla game the DLC is required to earn it.
@@chimaeraarts No you can do it with any of the villager homes not just the starter homes. I am saying that if you still kept the starter villager homes from the beginning when you first played the game and you wanted to let them have their original home you can still do that. Also you can design all villager homes in your own unique way and if you don't like what you did with their home you can talk to Isabelle and have her revert it back to normal. This also works if you messed up their interior by gifting them too many gifts.
If you are someone who is into designing and you want to do more than this DLC is for you, but if you don't care about designing and you just want the new items and features then you may not like to hear this most of the features are locked behind the DLC.
Yes if you are wanting more stuff to do in the game and you feel like you want to have extra features added this DLC is a MUST get. Although do not get the Nintendo Expansion version because that one is too expensive just get the stand alone version that is like 24.99
HHP is an amazing thing that’s been added. The main reason I love it so much is that when I’m having a burnout on my island, I can go relax my mind and try to get out of my burnout.
@@stanme no. It’s a DLC. It’s an additional thing to Animal Crossing. You have to pay for it. There are different villagers to decorate the interior and exterior of their dream vacation house. You don’t use your furniture. There is already furniture that isn’t yours to decorate the houses.
My favorite part of HHP was waiting days for " boat " to appear in Wardell's shop so i could build a private beach on my home island . Guess what though ? It was there all along except it's called " yacht " . tee hee ! I'd have paid twice as much for this part of the game.
Seriously though. I love it. Its not about making the houses look nice and following the clients order, its about finding out about your creation and giving you inspiration
I love the fact that it is completely new for each villager on your island. I just got the DLC a few days ago and want to take it slow, so I will decorate a house or 2 on my main villager and then swap to one of the other villagers on my island and decorate another house or 2 before swapping to another villager. It is also a fast way to get more of the new furniture because each one has a slightly different selection in their shop.
Agree 100% . I suck at decorating but I am having a great time with the DLC. Definitely worth the $25. I like that it is pretty much only limited to the number of villagers in the entire Animal Crossing universe.
I was so stoked for HHP I pre-ordered it. Definitely worth it too. So much fun designing houses and getting more villagers or old villagers. I let Bob leave a while ago to make room for Sasha. Then one day I see Bob hanging out in HHP and I think, "My boy still loves me!" And made him a vacation home like his regular home but much bigger. Now we dance when DJ KK comes around.
One thing that doesn’t get mentioned alot is that when you get to a certain point you unlock the Poki ABD It works like a normal ABD but for Poki The big thing is that you can exchange Poki for bells and vice versa The rates usually are like 100 poki for 200 bells and vice versa This is an easier method of racking up bells because I find poki a lot easier to earn Cheers for reading this far 🌟✨💜
And conversely, if you played the Turnip Market forever ago and have more millions of Bells than you will ever use, this lets you start bringing your Bells into HHP. This helps for the REALLY expensive items like Castle stuff.
Yes because it makes it easier to get the newer items at Lotties home and they constantly change everyday even when you have multiple users their items can be different from each other.
if anybody else has the Phyllis amiibo card, i HIGHLY recommend making her a vacation home. her dialogue is so funny when you go through the process with her
The DLC has been amazing. From this point on, the Happy Home series needs to be a feature for future main games. Paradise shows that this just works better as a "mode" rather than a separate game.
Another thing worth it, is the dj kk concert, after 30 homes you unlock it for him to come every Sunday and it gives you 10 dance reactions which I think (because I can’t confirm it) you can only get them in that concert. And you also forgot to mention the customization of homes for villagers in your own island also after 30 homes
I agree 100%!!! I was very surprised that even after you beat the DLC, it keeps going!! There are still so many milestones to unlock and you continue to be promoted by Lottie so you make more money, she also puts in expansion requests for the island facilities so theres still more to decorate than just vacation homes!! I totally expected it to be finished after the credits rolled but im so pleased that theres still more to accomplish, its most definitely worth it!!! 😊
Also, talking to the villager you chose as nurse in the hospital will get you an appointment with the doctor villager and depending on the symptoms you gave them, the doctor will give you a piece of clothing that fits it for free. I got the cast one day! It's such a small feature but it makes it fun to actually go to the hospital sometimes. (Also, when you unlock the boutique you will unlock the feature of buying clothing items from it. After you beat the game, the music festival happens every monday so I recommend going there on mondays when they sell some of the cool glowing clothes villagers wear in the party.)
The simple little request of "A place to show off my bike" aww that's why I love lazy villagers. I'm a bit annoyed I had to buy this to get the option to fix the starter homes, but the rest of the DLC seems super fun as well.
You and I are of the same mind. I said when they revealed the DLC that t’s basically an entire second game. It’s practically worth more than the 25 bucks we pay. And I spend a ton of time on the game because I am just such a perfectionist about getting these things how I think they should be. Also I get to pick up all the other wolves I don’t have.

I was really worried about the price at first, but about 4-5 days after getting it, I realized it was totally worth it! There's sooo much stuff to do, so much stuff to get! Wayy more than I initally thought there was. And designing houses can get addicting lol. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who can get it :]
Me being not convinced to buy this DLC until you said: You can order anything you used for the vacation homes for your main island - Me: instant buy. That's what I was hoping for because even though I've been playing this game for quite some time I feel like the furniture is still rather limited or it takes really long to get the specific stuff you want and this seems to go faster! Thank you for the video!
you forgot to add that the HHP also gives you one extra DIY recipe to receive on your dailies! which i thought was super nice with the DLC. i purchased the DLC not too long ago and i’ve been having a blast. it costed more since i live in canada, but so far, i’ve been getting my money’s worth. there’s so much content so i look forward to playing everyday!
The problem I have is I'm not a very creative person, I try to make things that look cool but I just end up not liking it and getting frustrated that I can't make anything look good. My island is extremely base and I'm sad about it. I see all these other people with cool islands and I just watched a video of someone designing extremely cool houses, classroms, etc. So I don't know if I should get it or not. Please give me suggestions if I should get it or not in the replys.
When you finish the dlc (i’m not spoiling the event this is something else) you get an abd and you can change poki to bells and the pther way around you can literally pay your house loan in a week LOL
Honestly, I don't have the DLC yet but I probably will soon because the more I see gameplay of it the more I get interested. My two main arguments are: - I get to interact with villagers that don't live on my main island, so I'm not constantly worrying about kicking some of my residents off just to get a chance to experience being with other villagers - I CAN FINALLY GET RID OF TANK AND MARGIE'S DEFAULT PERSONALITY HOUSES AND GIVE THEM THEIR REAL HOUSES LIKE THEY DESERVE
I feel like I should finish the main game before I move on to a dlc, theres so much to work on and a while till I have a perfect island so im gonna take my time..
The ONLY issue I have is that there’s NO reason they shouldn’t have let us unlock expanding our rooms at our own island home to have larger rooms :/. Because of that, we can make some AMAZING builds on HHP, but not really be able to use those same elements to get cool unique visual perspectives with the counters, partition walls, and columns… like I see SO many amazing builds on Instagram and TH-cam and get excited to try it at my house only to realize no matter how hard I squeeze there’s just not room, sadly.. But other than that, especially being able to redesign villager homes at your island, I adore it!
Well since my island has 3 characters I've finished at least 30 homes each, and one it's at over 100 with like $1,000,000 poki mostly just doing the minim on that one (just giving the furniture they ask for and done) using that player just to buy items for main character, 2nd & 3rd character was mostly for Art/Halloween candy (and getting DYI's) before the DLC. only thing I really wish they let happen on main island one being resizing the rooms in my house, just want every room to be as big as the upstairs and downstairs. And after beating the DLC (doing 30 homes, and the hospital, resterant, cafe, school and clothing shop) the person for the ending comes back every week.
It allows you to get so many things and you get to see so many new villagers and I don't usually like making things as I don't have and creative ability.
okay.. I feel like I'm the only one but.......... I have been playing AC for (actually) 20+ years, but with the New Horizons, I became a bit intimidated by all of the amazing islands created by people that I even put the game to the side for some time. I got back into it about a month ago, luckily hadn't really started my island before the new update, and am excited to make it my own and not care about others whose may look better. THANK YOU so much for this review. I had so many ideas about i.e., cafes, arcades, carnivals, etc. but am happy that I will get a chance to "practice" decorating/etc. through Happy Home Paradise before making decisions back home. You're the best! Wish me luck!
I want to get the dlc so bad. Seeing everyone say how fun it is and how it’s totally worth the money is making me super jealous because my parents said I can’t get it yet. I’m so mad about it but ig I’ll just wait.
Decorating homes on a vacation island is great, but being able to then design your own villager's homes is even greater. The best part is that everything is at your disposal, it's just animal crossing creative mode
I just want to say, even before you design the restaurant or hit a big milestone like 50 homes, you unlock an atm so you can transfer poki into bells. While the exchange rate does change every day, it’ll still help me to get out of my crippling debt.
another great thing about the dlc in my opinion, is that the vacation island isn't linked throughout all the nintendo switch accounts playing animal crossing. So each user of the switch can play properly without having someone take away the fun from them by completing the progress.
Every time I see different furniture in the choices I always try to include it in the build cause I’m too impatient to wait for a build an item would actually fit in in.
I am new to Animal Crossing. I have never played any before, but I am so hooked on NH! You've helped a lot so thank you and here's a sub 😊❤️ Although it does sadden me to hear that the recent update will be the last :( there is sooo much that can be done in this :( hugely missed opportunity :( BTW I have bought the DLC. Even though I'm still paying off my house haha
this sounds kind of confusing now that i read it again, what i’m talking about is when you go on the hhp app and look at other ppls homes and facilities they have decorated you can tour them and thaATS WHEN U GET TO SEE THE WARDELL LOADING SCREEN
after i got kk slider perform in hhp, i have slowed down playing animal crossing in general. i still havent unlock all the furniture, shine emotes, haven't bought those expensive furniture (i opted not to do currency exchange), diy, and maybe alot others i missed. i'll go have another second look.
me seeing this in my notifications also me after seeing the title: yes best $25 ever spent don't regret it (and the little version of the nook shop Wardell has is the cherry on top)
Kora: if you're watching this, you're probably on the fence about whether or not to drop the money on this expansion. Me: Nope! I'm obsessed with koramora and will watch any ac vid you post!
the dlc is incredible. i wasnt a huge fan of designing anything before but i decided to get it and WOW ITS SO AMAZING. i've already made about 60 houses.... and now i can finally have the cutest animal crossing couple living together... tia and mergengue
If you ask your island's resident to have a vacation home on HHP and later kick them out will they still remember you? I'm making an island with specific idea in mind and I love every single villager I have on it now but want to have Julian so if I kick out 1 villager I still want to see them and maintain relationship with them
speaking of the dlc I have encountered a glitch (maybe) and the glitch is, last night I had a festival and I stayed in the dlc rather then going home and right now even if it is 11:30 rn the festival is on lol. did you know that you can actually stay in the dlc then if you stay past 5 am then it resets like Isabelle but no Isabelle then you get a cutscene and it says (its a new day so I will make it a great one!)
Uh yeah it is ! So much more to do. I have to choose what to do now instead of mindlessly fishing. Which yes is still my favorite thing to do but that's not the point here.
Another thing is that, with the NSO expansion pack, you get the DLC for FREE! Although many, inclding me, understandably don't have it due to its steep price, its still a cool bonus to those that do.
My favourite thing is still if you invite CJ or Flick, they will only agree if they can come together. They were the first special characters I invited when I got the chance. They are inseparable and adorable.
Yeah I have so many bells right now that I can just do it. Too bad its only about 30,000 Poki you can only do but I guess they did that because they didn't want you to get Poki that easily.
I think when my semester within a week is about over I will reward myself with the Dlc, my brothers fiancee says it is super addicting I think I just might get it when school is done for winter.
i loved hhd but always thought that it didnt feel like a full game ; it felt kinda soulless after you got to the credits . hhp makes so much sense and it just works perfectly as a dlc
If I dont like the base game will this be a turning point for me or is it just more of the same lackluster gameplay, tedious menu navigation and with features and content in gameplay so basic I would find more fun digging through pesh in my garden?
I actually bought the DLC because I DON’T like designing. But designing in the DLC is fun, because I have a theme and lots of compatible items given to me.
My favorite thing about hhp is that you don’t have all the features from the start. I feel like I would get burnout by like the 10th house if there wasn’t any variety to it:( 100% worth the money
Just popping in to say that I 100% agree. I've gotten so much more than $25 worth of play out of this DLC already--it's incredible and so fun :')
Well when you make legendary builds so often, I wouldn't be surprised. 😁

You get to see Niko, I’d pay double the amount just to access Niko
I want to get the dlc so bad. Seeing everyone say how fun it is and how it’s totally worth the money is making me super jealous because my parents said I can’t get it yet. I’m so mad about it but ig I’ll just wait.
0:05 I’ve been debating wether or not I should buy this but after seeing THIS absolutely adorable tiny bridge, how can I say no
Decorating homes on a vacation island is great, but being able to then design your own villager's homes is even greater. The best part is that everything is at your disposal, it's just animal crossing creative mode
nikoooooooooooo
edit: aww my dlc was $38 :(
Edit: I’m jealous for the thousands people who’s was 25 even tho most are
@Cindy for most people it’s 25 dollars sadly
I appreciate interacting with so many different villagers
I just want to say, even before you design the restaurant or hit a big milestone like 50 homes, you unlock an atm so you can transfer poki into bells. While the exchange rate does change every day, it’ll still help me to get out of my crippling debt.
another great thing about the dlc in my opinion, is that the vacation island isn't linked throughout all the nintendo switch accounts playing animal crossing. So each user of the switch can play properly without having someone take away the fun from them by completing the progress.
Alright. Definitely buying it then. Was on the fence for quite a while, but seeing how much fun you had really gave me that little push.
Same
Every time I see different furniture in the choices I always try to include it in the build cause I’m too impatient to wait for a build an item would actually fit in in.
The audacity that this video even exists because OF COURSE IT’S WORTH BUYING!
The dance party is ridiculously cute.
I am new to Animal Crossing. I have never played any before, but I am so hooked on NH!
You've helped a lot so thank you and here's a sub 😊❤️
Although it does sadden me to hear that the recent update will be the last :( there is sooo much that can be done in this :( hugely missed opportunity :(
BTW I have bought the DLC. Even though I'm still paying off my house haha
Absolutely agree. Wardell is EVERYTHING ❤️
Just saw this dlc trailer and was curious how it stacks compared to the older home design. Such a solid review. Thank you 👍🏽
OMGGG WHEN U VISIT SOMEONE ELSES HOME WARDELL TAKES YOU AND THERES SUCH A CUTE LOADING SCREEN ANIMATION OMLLLL WARDELL IS THE BEST
this sounds kind of confusing now that i read it again, what i’m talking about is when you go on the hhp app and look at other ppls homes and facilities they have decorated you can tour them and thaATS WHEN U GET TO SEE THE WARDELL LOADING SCREEN
I'm on almost 90 vacation homes, heading for 100! $25 is really worth this amazing experience, I definitely recommend!
after i got kk slider perform in hhp, i have slowed down playing animal crossing in general. i still havent unlock all the furniture, shine emotes, haven't bought those expensive furniture (i opted not to do currency exchange), diy, and maybe alot others i missed. i'll go have another second look.

The fact that he’s named Walker yet he wants a place to show off his bike-
I think it’s worth this it gives you reactions and let’s you costumes homes for your islands villager so it’s worth it
I like getting to see more villagers. I don’t want to change the ones on the main island.
i probs wont unlock that untill its christmass again and again
me seeing this in my notifications
also me after seeing the title: yes best $25 ever spent don't regret it
(and the little version of the nook shop Wardell has is the cherry on top)
I already got the dlc when it was still just for preorder, but there's no way I'll skip a Kora video ❤ (it's 150% worth buying btw)
Kora: if you're watching this, you're probably on the fence about whether or not to drop the money on this expansion.
Me: Nope! I'm obsessed with koramora and will watch any ac vid you post!
Honestly I didn't think $25 was too high I love HHP because its whole another game!
the dlc is incredible. i wasnt a huge fan of designing anything before but i decided to get it and WOW ITS SO AMAZING. i've already made about 60 houses.... and now i can finally have the cutest animal crossing couple living together... tia and mergengue
If you ask your island's resident to have a vacation home on HHP and later kick them out will they still remember you? I'm making an island with specific idea in mind and I love every single villager I have on it now but want to have Julian so if I kick out 1 villager I still want to see them and maintain relationship with them
I really hope I get the expansion pack and nintendo online for Christmas! because then I can get the DLC for free! :D
I just started playing on Friday, like 2 days ago) your channel has become a go-to resource ... even though I'm so new to ACNH. thankyou!!!
....I realize this is the DLC lol
It’s worth it, put i think it’s not worth it for the subscription method, paying the game separately is worth it
ngl i did just buy the dlc so i could customize my island villagers' homes, but its super fun
speaking of the dlc I have encountered a glitch (maybe) and the glitch is, last night I had a festival and I stayed in the dlc rather then going home and right now even if it is 11:30 rn the festival is on lol. did you know that you can actually stay in the dlc then if you stay past 5 am then it resets like Isabelle but no Isabelle then you get a cutscene and it says (its a new day so I will make it a great one!)
Uh yeah it is ! So much more to do. I have to choose what to do now instead of mindlessly fishing. Which yes is still my favorite thing to do but that's not the point here.
Literally just got it,.and I don't love it but I like it. Wish I could have Niko as a villager.
Another thing is that, with the NSO expansion pack, you get the DLC for FREE! Although many, inclding me, understandably don't have it due to its steep price, its still a cool bonus to those that do.
I prefer buying instead renting as NSO i dont like gamePass too….i dont like renting games overall …specially those i like
My favourite thing is still if you invite CJ or Flick, they will only agree if they can come together. They were the first special characters I invited when I got the chance. They are inseparable and adorable.
It's definitely worth $25 just not the NSO Expansion pack $50 skip that it's a rip off
I just started and only did 3 rooms but I already love it more than the base game
Absolutely same, also I love being able to exchange poki for bells
Yeah I have so many bells right now that I can just do it. Too bad its only about 30,000 Poki you can only do but I guess they did that because they didn't want you to get Poki that easily.
I think when my semester within a week is about over I will reward myself with the Dlc, my brothers fiancee says it is super addicting I think I just might get it when school is done for winter.
i loved hhd but always thought that it didnt feel like a full game ; it felt kinda soulless after you got to the credits . hhp makes so much sense and it just works perfectly as a dlc
There is already a game that you do this in. I still think it is worth it though. I just hit 70 houses yesterday!
the best part of the dlc is DJ KK and the dance mix of all the KK Slider songs
If I dont like the base game will this be a turning point for me or is it just more of the same lackluster gameplay, tedious menu navigation and with features and content in gameplay so basic I would find more fun digging through pesh in my garden?
I actually bought the DLC because I DON’T like designing. But designing in the DLC is fun, because I have a theme and lots of compatible items given to me.
My favorite thing about hhp is that you don’t have all the features from the start. I feel like I would get burnout by like the 10th house if there wasn’t any variety to it:( 100% worth the money
ANSWER: YES (I haven’t even watched the whole video yet but I’ve made 25 houses and it’s amazingggg)
definitely worth the price lol ive sunk more of my time on the dlc than my whole island at this point
