I agree that Raymond is definitely not overrated. I found him on a villager hunt and just couldn’t leave him there, and now I love him. The eyes, the lil fangs, the pink toe beans 🥺 he is the sweetest thing.

Oversaturated is probably much better bc he was/is everywhere and... well, he part of the most plentiful and at to me most overrated species in game, cats. He at least has a unique look and personality amoung the cats but the sheer over abundance of Raymond really turned me off of him initially. Not saying i wouldn't give him a chsnce if i could, but Kyle is the best smug to me
I think majority of the villagers added in acnh are a little creepy... their eyes throw me off. This includes Raymond, but I think he's the least creepy of them, although I find him a little bland but still cute enough.

The reason a lot of us cringe at our own recorded voices is because when we hear other people talking we only feel the sound travelling through our ears, but when we're talking, we also feel the sound travelling through our bones, which alters how we sound, if you have a high quality mic, the voice you hear is most likely your actual voice, and the one you hear while you're actually talking is altered.
The only thing I don’t like is that we can’t change the size of the room. I wish there was just two more squares of space to use. 😩
The sims tiny house challenges are the only reason why I don’t get frustrated when it comes to decorating villagers homes😅
I remember when I first heard of Raymond and found him while villager hunting. Originally I was going to take him to receive a lot of NMT/Bells but after having him on my island I love him😭💕 he’s definitely like a villager brother 💕
I love how you gave Raymond a classy apartment meanwhile I gave him a pink cat cafe because he reminded me of that guy from tokyo mew mew but i wanted more cats lol
Lolly and Raymond’s homes were top tier!
I've also sarted decorating some villager homes. My boy Papi definitely deserved a redesign 👌
All these were so cute! Can't resize the rooms, but, using the partition walls to "resize" Raymond's place was a great idea for him.

Holy crap, that wallpaper and end table in Raymond's apartment are so beautiful! I've never seen either of them even though I've had the dlc for months and I want them so bad now.
Love all of the rooms! Lolly's was my favourite (but the shelf in front of her window needs to be turned around it's facing the wall)

You raised a question that you did not answer! I have been wondering about it because I haven't gotten to this level yet in HHP. What is the inventory like when you furnish villager homes? Any limitations?
It’s just like HHP! You get access to the catalog of all the things you’ve catalogued before, so you can use however many of each item. Doesn’t relate to your storage :)
Lovely remodelings, definitely better than what they had before! My personal favorite was Raymond’s, but my favorite of these 4 cats is Lolly, she’s my absolute dreamy, I hope to have her on my island someday!

These all turned out great! I actually haven't touched this feature, only designing new homes in the dlc. I think I'd be more creative since the entire catalog is open for this. Zucker's default is an absolute disgrace that needs to be dealt with😫

I've been playing ac since ww and nl and when i saw rayray for the first time i absolutely fell in love. I mean, he's a cat with different colored eyes and glasses?? How can you not love him.
I was looking for him for over a year, after the game's release, A YEAR GUYS (and way over 2000 nmt later) and had him until the 2.0 update. I think he's one of the cutest looking villagers still.
Also, i loved the video Lex!! I've been enjoying remodeling the houses and I've redone them all like twice now 😆

I would rather enhance my villager's homes then to completely replace everything, personally. Take what's already good about them and add to it. Unless of course it's their starter homes then all bets are off, hehe. I wish we could move windows around.
But yea, I feel like it would be degrading their personality if I change their homes to much. That's just me of course.
Raymond was my first Campsite villager, who usually it's a Smug villager. So I lucked out, even though I wasn't begging the gods to give me Raymond. But he's been on my island ever since.
I think I like all cat villagers, really. I'm a cat person so...yea, haha.

Hormones changes female voice. During certain days of the month our voices gets higher pitched but most times it has a deeper base to it. I think normally women talk in their throat but you know, during those days of the month we tend to talk higher unintentionally. I found out about it when they played a woman's voice during certain times and she sounded like a completely different person. They recorded her during most of the days but in the 5 day period of a week during you know what she sounded lighter, it was part of a study for a tv documentary.

It’s only temporary when they are using it while you visit. It goes back to your design when they are not cooking or crafting.

I believe that raymond would be Jim Because he would totally wear a cat maid outfit, like by choice and I feel him would do that too. I feel like Raymond likes to make jokes even though he's somewhat serious about the office stuff like I feel his personality is very different from how his looks are and I think that describes Jim. He looks seriously and like he would be a really good office worker but he's really all gags and fun.
I have Alfonso on my island, and his house is just amazing besides the floor, which is a weird black dirt.
I love these houses, but in case you see this comment, I just want to say that the cabinet in lollys house on the left is facing the wrong way. (the pictureframe on the shelve is facing the wall lol)
Well done. Nintendo really can’t decorate villagers’ homes as good as the players’ can, or they’re just giving you an example of what a poorly-decorated house looks like for their default interiors. Point of advice, speaking of “kitchen system”, that’s the name of the said furniture read or said backwards. And while you still have to stick with a single-story house with an unadjustable 6x6 interior, about many players are doing what they can to make them look larger than what they are with the use of partition walls and other partition-style items. When I heard about the fact you can remodel your villagers’ homes, but only after you complete 30 vacation homes and open the apparel shop in HHP, that’s where I showed eagerness in doing so, and where my dream came true when playing this game. My villager Chief’s house was the WORST with that graffiti interior and furniture that makes him look like a vagrant, and that’s why I nicely remodeled his home from that ugly default look that could just fail the HHA at any level. Audie on the other hand, I never liked the island theme of her house and wish I invited her from the 3-housing plots quest, and so I remodeled her house by changing the wallpaper and flooring to be reminiscent from if she’s your starter peppy villager and changes to some of the furniture while retaining a very few.

Raymond is based on one of my favorite musicians of all time, (David Bowie, who also had bi-colored eyes), so he's also a favorite of mine. His house was my favorite as well, and I may be redoing some of my villagers homes that way.
David Bowie actually suffered from a condition called Anisocoria (he was punched in the eye in his teens) which caused one of his pupils to stay permanently dilated. This often made people think he had different coloured eyes at first glance, however it was just his different sized pupils that made it look that way.
Having 2 different coloured eyes is called heterochromania by the way :)

Did you ever find out if your villagers put your gifts back up? Or continued to wear/ use what you gave them? That's what I'm worried about when thinking about redesigning houses in the future.
I'm also worried about what might happen if I don't include a kitchen/diy bench... I probably will, but I'm curious as to what'll happen if I don't
Don’t worry about the workbenches/kitchen! Your villagers without the workbenches/kitchen will still be able to craft and cook!

Ok so these weren’t UGLY designs, it just got boring to see the same brown vibe in almost all the houses. There’s almost no originality in each home. I’d visit Raymond’s and then visit Lolly’s and feel like I went into the same house twice. Just some pointless feedback (and no I’m not at all trying to be rude❤) it’s ok to use more colors. I’m currently remodeling all of my villagers’ houses as well and I decided to give them each their own distinct features instead of the predictable look that these designs of yours have. I’m so thrilled to see that you took the time to make your villager’s houses look better cause yes they did improve, like I said it’s just a color thing. To try to switch it up, get creative! (and like I said, this is just pointless feedback. Do with it what you wish and play however you like! Perhaps keep what I said in mind if you could). But your voice is fine! Very soothing and I would love to watch more of your videos! 😊❤
