Active park assist plus removes the stress from parking by taking over steering, shifting, braking and acceleration functions with the touch of a button to navigate getting in and out of parallel and perpendicular parking spaces with ease.
Reverse brake assist can help stop the vehicle when backing up if Aviator’s integrated rear sensors detect an obstacle at the rear.

Wow - same concept as going to an automatic car wash. Shift to neutral and let go. Your engineers are awesome!!!

i've owned a rr sport hse. and looked at the new rr before i bought my new aviator. i didn't like the velar's handling and the rr sport was stupid expensive. love the aviator. beautiful car, powerful and refined. still keeping my benz' and porsche though!

just took delivery of an aviator. tried the parking spot feature at the car lot. not the parallel but the slot parking (like at a shopping mall or the grocery store). took about 4 tries to detect a spot and then about a 7 point turn to back us in. i think that i had a birthday during that exercise! need to check it again a few times because it may well need a software update.

My 2016 Explorer does the exact same behavior. I'm thinking if they haven't fixed that behavior then, I just don't see it happening here. As much as I like Ford, this is one thing they just aren't too good with is the parking assist.

You could take a nap waiting for it to park.

I would be worried by the time i figured out all the buttons , all the cars behind me would be honking like crazy already 😅

So slow. However I know scores of people who are just mentally ill when it comes to parallel parking. So bravo on a seamless program saving a $90k car from a parktard

Seems too many steps for auto parking. Though advance than some systems out there from competitors, some steps could be refined a bit.

Party tricks. I would much rather have a higher quality vehicle than one that parks for those who were never properly taught how to drive. C'mon. All those steps. All that messing around. A competent driver would easily be parked already. Meanwhile, the traffic behind you just keeps getting deeper and deeper. Angrier and angrier.
