I have an audio recording of Don singing “Wonderful Baby” from the summer of 1975. It was recorded off TV, and I’d love to find out what show he was on and played it. I think it was one of those Don Kirschner-type shows but I’ve not been able to find any reference to it online.
@@hudsony777 I suppose Fred Astaire must have been very impressed with Don McLean's song. Impressed enough to record his own version. I personally think it is a great song, and the fact that Fred Astaire liked the song so much gives me confidence that it really is great.

@@kirbykeller2623 Yes, he was listed as having played on GMA on Friday, July 18th, 1975. But I don’t recall my recording being made in the morning.
