Can you talk about tongue posture? I also have an overbite!!
This is such a great question. The first months were so difficult for me. I had to idea where to “put” my tongue. But naturally, it just started following the changes of my mouth, as it started to charge with the braces. I will totally do a video about it
@@emipoweredlife thank you!! Yeah I had no idea my tongue was in the wrong position and not helping my overbite / lisp I have. So glad I found out by my dentist (also I’m 27)
Well done Suzi, for being brave and getting braces at 27! I can totally relate regarding the overbite. I had a lisp too when saying some words, and other words I could just not say correctly at all. I became so self-conscious about it, especially the older I became 🙈
It has been such a process, and the braces really help in the long run! After just a few months I notice such a significant difference, and the dentists are really there to help your month, teeth and tongue move "correctly" to the right places.
Finding the right dentist is key.
Actually, when I was a kid, my previous dentist used to recommend a tongue crib, my current dentist has never mentioned it, and my the results have been great so far
