If you consider that a Mac mini, ipad mini 256 with cellular, and an iPhone 14 pro 256 is around $2500 minimum. The Z fold gives you all three of these devices when you consider using dex as a desktop with generally better specs, suddenly the price doesn't seem as expensive to me. Oh and very professional and yet light hearted video as always. You're extremely good at what you do!
In many countries outside of the US the price might be extremely high, but when you put it that way it actually makes sense. People are spending around the same amount on other iPhone or Samsung flagship phones, so why not give the Z Fold a try? Plus, there are a lot of things to work with, but it has improved a lot since Z Fold 4. Nice comment. 👍
That’s a stretch. iPhone 14 Pro + iPad Mini I’ll give you, but this is much more comparable to a Chromebook than a Mac Mini. Dex is a nice feature, but it’s not going to replace a desktop for someone shopping Macs and PCs in that price range.

But Z Fold comes with a S Pen, which makes writing much faster since you can handwrite rather than type. But if I would choose to open Dex, I would personally take a Tab S9 since Dex makes it work just like a laptop.
If they add a bigger front screen, bigger battery and include the spen in the phone, I will definitely pay the monies they require to be in this foldable club.
I love my Fold5 it's my first foldable and I don't regret it. One note I'd like to add in is I love being able to watch YT and go through comments at the same time and the video is still really large. My old Ultra22 I'd open the comments all the time and lose sight of the video I'm watching. Yes if you just want to watch a video and that's it it's not much of an improvement but multi tasking with a video playing is awesome. Tiktok is amazing too with being able to read comments while watching the video.

I was with apple for over 10 years. When I first saw the Z Fold 5 I fell In love. I've been having for a month now and I can't see myself going back to iPhone. The customization is my favorite, the big screen and definitely the productivity
@justahugenerd1278 the hardest part about switching is leaving the apple eco system. If you're not in the apple eco system you should be fine. I had it all and just switched everything out except my MacBook. I highly recommend it. I'm still in love with my Z Fold 5

Actually Ella just made a recent video talking about the Samsung ecosystem and apparently Galaxy phones have a lot of ecosystem stuff with PCs! But that's great to hear that you're still in love with the phone :) it's looking more and more tempting now

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is an amazing piece of technology, and I don't think I will ever go back to a candy bar type phone. I bought mine from Samsung a couple of weeks ago for only $800 for the 512 GB version. The battery life has been great so far even when using the main screen.

Looking for an upgrade, looked into the Galaxy Fold 5 and I was pretty impressed because I love to use multiple tabs for easier and convenient productivity 😌🤧
I advise waiting a little bit more because they might actually change the aspect ratio with the fold 6 (as we've seen the ratios they've been trying) !! I'm not sure but it's something I'm looking forward to!

I have been using Zold 4 since the day it was released. Cant be happier with this phone. Looks like no huge upgrades in 5. Will likely wait till 6. I see my wifes iPhone 15 and laugh.

Also I like the fact you don't have an annoying introduction video. I have always been the type who likes the straight to the point person. According to me the Z Fold is a work tool. If U want to have fun buy the S series. I use the Z Fold to read books and for the multitasking. If I want to have fun I use my S23 Ultra.

I owned the S22 Ultra for 2 years and upgraded to the Fold 5. Perfect choice. Don't think I can go back to candy bar style phones. I just wished the Cover screen was 6.8in instead of the narrow 6.2in
I want to love the Fold, I miss the Fold 3 and I'm always thinking of scenarios I'd use the Fold over the small S23 I have now but the one thing that stops me going back to the fold is the inner screen cracking by itself. No worries about structural integrity or lack of dust resistance, just the inner screen cracking by itself is a weight off my shoulders that I hope will be resolved in a future update. Otherwise, a joy to use. Samsung needs some competition.

if the next fold has bigger battery capacity 6500mAh +, fast charging not less than 120W, better zoom in camera, brighter display 2000nits at least, this tech would be a must buy.
I use both iphone and samsung device. Dont get me wrong i prefer samsung over iphone. Overall they good and not boring like iphone. the only thing that apple wins over android because of they deliver software update for all apple device at the same day. Not like samsung we have to wait depends on your region
Excellent video. Seen this on my fold 4,will probably trade in when the fold 7 gets announced, or when we get under-screen selfie technology on the Galaxy S series.. I've never seen any TH-camrs bring up the TH-cam aspect ratio difference, which is VERY important to me and a noticeable distinction
That's my thing people these TH-camrs state the camera isn't as good as the iPhone 14 or s23ultra yet the fold 5 pics look the same as the others which is great I really hate hearing that about the food 5 camera

As someone who uses my fold for my art, the difference between the s-pen that retracts and the one on the Fold 5 and 6 is massive in terms of pressure sensitivity, allowing me to draw FAR lighter than I could on the old pen.
Very comprehensive coverage. I enjoyed it, so thanks. It is still a niche device, and those who love it will still love it despite the iterative upgrade. Those who want something with better value or hardware, like with the Chinese alternatives, give this a miss and see what next year brings. Overall, Samsung needs to up its game rather than exploit its monopoly in the West.

The foldable phones on the GO, maybe bring along a travel sized keyboard to get even more productive when on the GO. Interesting point that you brought up about individuals not being able take advantage of the phone’s main back cameras when video calling and or even taking a selfie photo, but then again I don’t think there’s any flagship phone out there can do that, quite yet. Other than that, for the price of the folding phone it should be matching the S23 hardware specifications including the cameras, the only thing that really make a pholding phone the best phone in the market is the folding glass technology, know what I mean? Another so good a month later review and thanks you still make want to buy a folding phone, they are so good and durable now, jeje! I bought the Samsung z-fold 4 and I think the best phone I have ever used, the screen has hair line cracks and I just called ATT. They are sending me a new device tomorrow and they only have z-fold 5's so I am getting one for free! 😇
I'm based in 🇳🇿 and have been using a flip 5 since its release. The crease has been a problem 2 months after I got it. The crease where the phone folds over has become a dead part of the screen. Touching it or moving things across the screen through the crease will disable the movement. It is now basically a useless part of the screen. You can tap on it, and there'd be no response. You can drag things, but it'll bounce back and cancel once you've reached the crease. It's no good. Aside from that , the flip has been great. I'd like a fold on top of having the Flip, because reading with it will be so much more comfortable.
What no one is talking about is that after you have had it for over a year, the screen starts to make a permanent crease where it folds. They need to do something about that for their future fold design phones. I personally don't like to upgrade every year because they are so minor. But I do like to upgrade every other year. But the screen starts to crease over time. It's not cool at all.
Still rocking the fold 3 and it still feels like a brand new phone to me. Only real downside to these phones is how restrictive they've become thanks to the recent android updates. You can now no longer access android/data folders on the device which makes using some applications like emulators impossible.
When I first saw a thumbnail of your vid I thought what is JENNIE from Blackpink doing reviewing phones? I realised you weren't her later but you're so pretty I mistook you for her. Can you please do an iPhone 15 Pro vid? Also, I would really like a flagship phones full length comparison (Battery, geekbench, camera etc). If I were you, I'd choose 15PM, S23U, Pixel 8 Pro (Pre-Orders start October 4), Xiaomi 14 Ultra (rumoured to launch by the end of October) and many others. I do have one question, do you buy all the devices you review that aren't sponsored by the respective company? If yes, then what do you do with them after filming the video? Loving your vids you're awesome!
It's a good idea to use your middle finger as a fingerprint for the galaxy fold 5. And, did you realize that you can put multiple fingers into 1 finger print?
Price isn't a problem since this is a very good innovative phone. What makes me not consider buying this phone is it's so fragile that this device must be bought with Samsung care.
It's the dent in the middle that keeps people from buying it. Its thick when folded and while expensive its value depreciates too fast like any Samsung. Most people just don't have 2k laying around for a Samsung.

if the next fold has bigger battery capacity 6500mAh +, fast charging not less than 120W, better zoom in camera, brighter display 2000nits at least, this tech would be a must buy.
I use both iphone and samsung device. Dont get me wrong i prefer samsung over iphone. Overall they good and not boring like iphone. the only thing that apple wins over android because of they deliver software update for all apple device at the same day. Not like samsung we have to wait depends on your region
Excellent video. Seen this on my fold 4,will probably trade in when the fold 7 gets announced, or when we get under-screen selfie technology on the Galaxy S series.. I've never seen any TH-camrs bring up the TH-cam aspect ratio difference, which is VERY important to me and a noticeable distinction
Fold 7? That's next year! Really hoping they make the cover screen 6.8in instead of 6.2in. Also hoping it can do 45w super fast charging

That's my thing people these TH-camrs state the camera isn't as good as the iPhone 14 or s23ultra yet the fold 5 pics look the same as the others which is great I really hate hearing that about the food 5 camera
THIS! I guess some ppl are being real anal about the camera, but the camera quality is still 👌🏾 it's not like there is a HUGE difference.

As someone who uses my fold for my art, the difference between the s-pen that retracts and the one on the Fold 5 and 6 is massive in terms of pressure sensitivity, allowing me to draw FAR lighter than I could on the old pen.

The foldable phones on the GO, maybe bring along a travel sized keyboard to get even more productive when on the GO. Interesting point that you brought up about individuals not being able take advantage of the phone’s main back cameras when video calling and or even taking a selfie photo, but then again I don’t think there’s any flagship phone out there can do that, quite yet. Other than that, for the price of the folding phone it should be matching the S23 hardware specifications including the cameras, the only thing that really make a pholding phone the best phone in the market is the folding glass technology, know what I mean? Another so good a month later review and thanks you still make want to buy a folding phone, they are so good and durable now, jeje! Precisely why I purchased.
I bought the Samsung z-fold 4 and I think the best phone I have ever used, the screen has hair line cracks and I just called ATT. They are sending me a new device tomorrow and they only have z-fold 5's so I am getting one for free! 😇
I'm based in 🇳🇿 and have been using a flip 5 since its release. The crease has been a problem 2 months after I got it. The crease where the phone folds over has become a dead part of the screen.
Touching it or moving things across the screen through the crease will disable the movement.
It is now basically a useless part of the screen.
You can tap on it, and there'd be no response.
You can drag things, but it'll bounce back and cancel once you've reached the crease.
It's no good.
Aside from that , the flip has been great.
I'd like a fold on top of having the Flip, because reading with it will be so much more comfortable.

What no one is talking about is that after you have had it for over a year, the screen starts to make a permanent crease where it folds. They need to do something about that for their future fold design phones. I personally don't like to upgrade every year because they are so minor. But I do like to upgrade every other year. But the screen starts to crease over time. It's not cool at all.

Still rocking the fold 3 and it still feels like a brand new phone to me.
Only real downside to these phones is how restrictive they've become thanks to the recent android updates. You can now no longer access android/data folders on the device which makes using some applications like emulators impossible.

It's a good idea to use your middle finger as a fingerprint for the galaxy fold 5. And, did you realize that you can put multiple fingers into 1 finger print?

As a z fold user, i truly don't understand why this isn't dominating the market. Productivity is just insane.

Price isn't a problem since this is a very good innovative phone. What makes me not consider buying this phone is it's so fragile that this device must be bought with Samsung care.
It's the dent in the middle that keeps people from buying it. Its thick when folded and while expensive its value depreciates too fast like any Samsung. Most people just don't have 2k laying around for a Samsung.
