I remember we were painting a complete in/out. Next to the paint booth we had electronic dust particle ionizers we used those booths to do fenders small jobs. We had a spot on the door that the body shop had to fix. Whilst touching up a scratch. The door creaked and the body person sprayed the door hinge with wd 40 A NO NO And caused fish eye in the whole body job in the booth. So screw up happen. I admire the patience you have. All these thing were a comedy of errors. I always said to my employees . Don't follow the rules , you deserve what you get, and never enough time to do it right, always enough time to do it over. So you want to work the weekend? We were flatraters. Lol we didn't makes those mistakes again. Close to perfection most of the time. I also appreciated the fact you did not like it. So you fixed it.

Stupid question from a DIY’er. Do you recommend a coat of regular clear over the paint coat and wet sanding before applying flames. Thanks for the painting lessons. The best I have seen so far.

Hello Pete, seems like the blue should have been on the bottom since you wanted the red to be more dominate. If this was the case, then you wouldn't have had to tape over the red that intersected the blue. This would have saved some time. Am I correct?

Sorry im so late on watching these but just a quick little question. So you used the DBC550 then wet sanded it with 1500 and cleared right over it? With putting clear right over a prepped 1500 grit surface doesn't it increase your chances of runs in the clear if its a full wet coat, or on your first coat of clear do you do a medium wet coat so the full wet coat on top wont run?
I hope that made sense, been trying to figure out how to word it properly.
