This is the most beautiful flame job and colors I’ve ever seen. Even without the second flames added on top, they looked beautiful with just black and blue. But the final product is the most sick flame job and color scheme I’ve ever seen in my life.
Thanks BW. One of my favorites to do. This also looks very good with candy tangerine flames or candy red flames....with the silver overlaying flame job - Appreciate the comment
Just 2K clear. Intercoat has no hardener so the lacquer thinner will damage it. you can always take some 1500 or 1000 wet and sand the blowthrough if you have enough intercoat covering the base.
Hey brother, if I sent you another set of fenders and tanks, can you do black base coat and blue flames overlapping each other??? And yes, those are my tanks and fenders in this video. I want another spare set.
Awesome. At least how you can see how they were done. I had to close down Attitude due to Jody's health (she passed away labor day :( We just had the celebration of life yesterday. I am working out of Bert's Harley-Davidson in Clearwater. I helped do the layout of the bodyshop. There is still a lot to do before opening. Stay in touch. Watch the Bert's website or FB page for details. Or give them a call. - thank you
@@TAZattitudeWhen and if you ever feel like painting again, let me know. I’d like to send you another set from California for flames. And I do understand if you need time. I’ve lost my entire family. I’m the only one left. It’s hard.
Not really but it's pretty common on the pre 95 Harley's and aftermarket tanks. I normally tape up about 1/8" away from the hole, prime and paint up to the tape. Then I use a mix of clear and base to cover that edge once I'm completely done and pull the tape off. I used to use POR15 to do the sealing, but this got costly.
@@jamesobert8972 You can pretty much chose what ever silver and white pearl you want. For the overlaying flame job, you want that to be more subtle so you can use any silver (pretty much any automotive silver laying around), and any white pearl. White pearl is transparent and a regular automotive silver is also more transparent than the D769 toner silver. D769 is a very fine. silver so it covers quickly. So the flame job under the candy to be a bright silver, and cover quickly, and the top flame job to be fairly transparent. Hope all this makes sense to you
There is so much information you have to watch it at least 3 times thanks for sharing your experience
Thanks again Julie. Can't believe it ended up being about 40 minutes. Took me 4+ hours to edit. Need to do a couple quick ones for your guys...
they turned out amazing really like the colors used i can just imagine what it would look like using red candy insted of blue...nice work ..

Thanks Jamie. I also have a video with the 'hot rod flames'. Doing an outline without being a pinstriper

I miss doing them. I do have another one kind of in the works. Another "Top 10 tips". Hope to have that up fairly soon. Thank you

Thank you Rob!
Fantastic job!
Congrats.
Thanks again!
Fabulous job!!
Appreciate it Jimmy
Sweet work. Beautiful finish. I'm not normally a fan of flames for my own stuff but I'd have that design on my bike.
Nice compliment....I appreciate that
Very nice!!!
Thanks Billy!
Thanks job
When you mentioned cleaning blow through with laquer thinner if you have clear coat underneath, can you do that on intercoat clear or just 2k?

No problem!

Have you had issues with the paint bubbling up around the gas spouts? Anyway to prevent that?

What pearl are you using? That looks amazing btw
That's just a mix of a silver and a white pearl.
