Do ppl feel pleasure now in inventing their own realities or do they just straight up believe any website they read? I have been following Starfield since early presentations of gameplay and they NEVER even came close to lying about it and it was a year before the game came out
The difference in tech, is pretty huge here, i guess you can notice a lot of the limitations the guys at Bethesda had to deal with with their current engine state, in any technical level, what the guys at CIG managed to accomplish is really impressive, not taking only this video as reference of course, and now that Starfield is out, you can also see that their approach to a space game is also a lot more simpler, in the end SF is the a feature complete game, and has a campaign you can play, and i'm eager to check it out, although, SC has it's own appeal for me that SF doesn't have, i'm looking forward to when the servers cease to be a big problem for the game, since to me, the online is the aspect that "Fs" the most with the development team at CIG, and also with the AI and even gameplay experience in general. All that said, i wouldn't be surprised if they implement a better than current state space experience later down the line, in a DLC or something like that for Starfield.
As a dedicated fan of Bethesda, I greatly admire The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, which stand as one of my favorites gaming experiences. However, Bethesda urgently needs to abandon their current engine for a newer, more modern alternative. Since 2002, they have been modifying the same engine, dating back to Morrowind. That's over two decades ago. And I actually find impressive to see StarField's state considering the antiquated state of their engine, despite the numerous updates. The thing is, the success of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout hinges not on technical achievement but on the strength of their narratives and the depth of their universes. Starfield lacks this compelling lore and writing, resulting in a game that feels uninspired and shallow. Without an engaging universe, the game's immersion depends on its development and mechanics, areas where the Creation Engine shows its limitations. While mods offer some appeal, and Bethesda's encouragement of community involvement in game development is commendable, the overall outcome is nonetheless disappointing.
@@Lusyphel Yes it is true, the current state of their engine is holding them back, but not only that, they don't seem to be doing very well in general when it comes to doing games, since Fallout 4 i would say, Doom and Doom Eternal would not count in as a Bathesda game, so what you have after that would be Fallout 76. So even if they would use the same engine, it would not be a problem if they invested in making real progress with it, instead they are making a few tweaks here and there, as necessary, i guess to keep development costs as low as possible, the fact that the engine is years old is not the problem, if you think about it, even Unreal engine is 25 years old now, so the problem is not the engine itself, but the lack of investment in making it truly evolve, so in other words, Bethesda is relaxing way too much for some years now, and the only way for them to change this is Elder Scroll 6 flop really hard, other than that, maybe they are seeing the shortcoming with Starfield, and now are making some course correction so that Elder 6 doesn't come as a disappointment.
@@AdolfoWWolf I agree, there is obviously a problem with investment as Bethesda have made poor decisions, thinking they were safe because Skyrim and Fallout 4 were doing so great. But I'd argue that the engines is still a major issue. Unreal Engine is old, and I'll go into uncharted territories for me there, but IIRC, the difference between CE and UE is that CE lack real concrete revamp, as the core is still pretty untouched. As for TES6, they can't screw it up, they might never recover from that failure imo
@@Lusyphel And i would not like TES6 to be bad, Skyrim was a lot of fun for me and my first ever contact with The Elder Scrolls for me, and i love that game to this day, let's hope they are looking into this, and are taking the necessary actions.
@@AdolfoWWolf Same, I love Skyrim with all my heart, even if I must reconize it was already technically obsolete when it came out. Bethesda always tried making games with twig and rocks, perhaps it's time to go further.
I think after experiencing the different games, id say elite dangerous has the best looking jump. I do miss the 2015 star citizen jump effect i enjoyed it more than this version and starfields is definitely more like a cut scene than the other two, i feel they could have done a better job with the effect, i don't dislike it though but i do wish it didn't blind me every time.
The newer one in the recent 2023 CItizenCon completely blew the old (current) one out of the water. Been binging since 2016 (was a child), now it looks promising and real
@@dukeversewalker8962 yes “updates” come out frequently i’m sure, i’m asking when the game will be fully released, is the campaign even fully done yet?
According to the monthly reports, SQ42 is mostly feature complete; they're expected to announce a release date at CitizenCon in a couple of weeks. SC, the MMO, is currently available to play right now, and frequently receives major patches that adds a ton of stuff to the game, but also breaks it due to the experimental tech they're deploying.@@iced751
Yeah I'd rather have a 2 second loading screen than a minute-or-more waiting around session. Star Citizen enthusiasts should just play Elite if they want vast distance realism
It's okay if you don't want semi sim experience my bro, but we want that. Elite is basically still the same it still has a loading screen hidden within the jump animation. Compared to star citizens, elite has much fewer feature. Also having the ship actually travel through the space can give you interesting game mechanic

But people like me who want to be immerse in a huge solar system since kid because bad luck you were born at the 90's and not in the space era, SC is a wet dream: The feeling of traveling milions of kms physically, having to wait, land and take-off, do everything almost manually, walk around the ships, look al the details, ship layout makes actually sense, modules work and have meaning....yeah somedays you don't want to do that, so you just play other games. But for the days I you are in the mood, man it's like anything else.
I’m glad I don’t have to spend 1/3 of the game flying, You can just fast travel as well. Plenty of sides stories just fall in your lap anyhow, so don’t worry about boring.
@donaldrisky8852 you can get out of chair , do stuff in the ship ( if it's a bigger one ) , it's not a loading screen, you could be interdicted any time by another player.
@@donaldrisky8852 Shows how ignorant you are. You can stop your ship at any time while in Quantum, get out of your seat and EVA in space. You can also call a buddy to come pick you up where you stopped. Kid, do a little homework before making yourself look stupid.

Starfield is for when you are in the mood to follow a story and Star Citizen is when you want to create your own story. Both are awesome.
The story one will create in Star Citizen is called boredom

Starfield gets boring pretty fast

You can compare among Frame Shift jump in Elite Dangerous, No Man Sky's Hyper Drive, Hyperspace in Star Wars and Warp in Star Trek as well.

Can anyone update me on when Star Citizen's supposed to fully release? Haven't heard any updates about this game in a long time.
