- This is the review of the HGAC Gundam L.O. Booster, the upgraded Geminass 01 with the laziest alt-modes in Gundam history.

The After Colony crustacean family expands as we are now introduced to the Re:Operation redesigned Gundam L.O. Booster in HG form, and boy what a mixed bag this kit is. There's no in-between in the quality of content provided in the kit, from the top notch looks and gimmicks, to the downright poor stickers and limitations in some parts of the articulation. It's still priced similarly to getting a Geminass with an upgrade set, but there are bigger merits and problems with the kit than the price.

Such a big improvement on the OG HG version. The new legs transformation is different.... Lol but at least it has the effect parts. Can't wait to build this.... Along with the rest of my backlog kits.... XD
Yep, good thing clearing backlog builds is easier than clearing backlog videos. The changes they made to this are also pretty interesting too, I do like the leg claws especially

Takes a special kind of half-assed to make your flight mode look lazier then even the Scramble Gundam. XD

I'll admit I was shocked to see another Mobile Suit in this kit. I ordered thinking it was just the booster.
Given the amount of changes made, it's inevitable that they release it as another kit, similar to the HGAC Aesculapius
I hope Hydra Gundam is released next
Either that or a Burnlapius. Couldn't care less about the Griepe unless the re-design benefits it in some way

Hydra should be the pinnacle of this G unit Project, i bet it'll take a while imo, in meantime they might put good use of Leo Mold/-lapius/make main series grunt like virgo or taurus

Even cooler now, and at least it doesn't look dopey
Now the final piece of the G-Unit is coming soon... One of my personal favorites that I am seeing some improvements while actually staying quite the same as the original 1/144.
The Mercurius and Vaeate Sulivant.. Not interested. We need either the other Leo variants, or the remaining Gundam units to be made

i remember buying knock off hg l.o booster for $1 when i was a kid like 20 years ago but inside of it is just fixed articulated 1/144 scale of a goddamn zeta that comes with 2 runners and only has red and white color.... and a sheet of paper for manual
In one aspect, it shows how far Gunpla have come. On the other hand, that is quite terrible
@@mj2005gundam no it's actually quite bizarre for me because I was a kid and don't know much about Gundam let alone gunpla and that experience with knock off stuff that I bought with my pocket money that got me into model kits in general

Going need to find magenta spray paint can so I can fixed the binders cause using folded stickers is very bad
I tried my best, but they still look bad. Get a wine red, that should be close enough
Could you use the assult booster/high mobility kit on the Lobster gundam?? Or would you HAVE to get the p-bandai geminass?
You can swap out the shoulder armor for the boosters, but you have to get the Geminass separately otherwise, as the other parts that the boosters attach to (backpack, legs) are changed on the L.O. Booster. I guess you can mix using the leftovers, but you'd still be missing the yellow pieces for the backpack
@@mj2005gundam so you would just be better off just grabbing the geminass, assault/high mobility packs instead of Lobster? Or just all 3?
@@shirothenoodle1810 If your aim is to use the boosters, just get the Geminass. Not unless you want to do a custom build that uses the L.O. Booster head, chest armor, and weapons.
@@mj2005gundam my goal is to use the boosters. But that does sound like a neat idea for a custom later down the line.
hmmm really good review just go easy on stickers you apply we can wait for u to apply stickers as much as nicely you can cuz stickers are part of kit. please dont let sticker application be your one bad thing on your great reviews
If the stickers still suck even after applying it to the best of my abilities, then it's on them. I apply them to demonstrate the sticker quality as well

I definitely like what they did with the redesign, and for once the kit doesn't suffer for it
You don't have to buy a germinass anymore, it is the germinass
Sadly, you'll still have to get the Geminass because this kit doesn't have the yellow pieces of the original kit

Ugh the stickers on this one are nearly as bad as the ones on my OG HG LOBooster.
The ones on the wings yeah.. I don't particularly mind the smaller ones, but you should probably paint the wings for the best effect

I mean, it has a regular box art, what did you expect? But seriously, no kit ever deserves to be thrown into P-Bandai, especially not when literally every other HGUC (and sub lines) kit than the HGAC Shenlong Gundam is thrown into it.
