I thought this was a cool idea so I did this as well but started it with MKleo winning smash world tour 2021 to see if it changed anything. I figured I'd start there as it's the closest we gotten to an "official" world champ. > will mean passes to and I'll put the new champ on the line below Mkleo> protobanham> HERO> shuton> ouch!?> aaron> jakal> bassmage> skittles> zomba> kameme> dark wizzy> jakal> Miya> glutonny> sonix> light> tweek> acola> sparg0> mkleo> light> miya> ron> Carmelo Carmelo the Steve player from Japan is the current (4/18/2024) unofficial world champ if you start the title from Mkleo winning smash world tour.
If starting at either Brawl or Smash 4 with the elimination rules, ZeRo eventually takes over both, sending both on the same path that ends up with Sonic main koro taking out fellow Canadian and Lucas main FatherPlum at Battle of BC 6, if starting from Smash 4 with the original rules, as Gregorian hasn't done Brawl with the original rules yet, the champion is MasaRotom, an ICs main from Kanto who hasn't been to an event in 2.5 years
the past few videos you've made have been fantastic. i'm much more of a melee fan, but these Jon Bois style videos on Ultimate make the game seem so interesting and vibrant. today's concept in particular was super inspired, and in general you're just doing amazing stuff here, can't wait to see more videos from you.
amazing job, its been fun to track this for the past few years since i got involved with the stats community However- there is a 4th answer for world champion you forgot. *John Numbers.*
Update to this for comments - since Eastern Powerhouse Invitational 2 was added to the major list on Liquipedia, this effectively changes the entire world champion path. With that update, the current world champion is Lv. 1 after beating zackray at Kowloon 12.
Great video!! I personally think the title should be transferred each time a current holder gets eliminated. Why would a 7th place finish be world champion?? Makes no sense to me
I like the content but you gotta mix the sound better, the music is slightly too loud and sometimes covering your words, makes it difficult to understand.

this is one of my favorite smash videos ever. i love smash stats LOL
Shoutout to world champion burntsocks, apparently
cosmos being arguably the one to single-handedly subject the world champion title to the depths of japan is so on brand

The Nickname situation was absolutely beautiful, we could use more silly narratives like this in Smash

Lukewarm is also going to Comicpalooza Fight Club next month, which, while not likely, does have a small chance to become a major

And the 5th one! Thomas G. a.k.a. Ito!

Had no idea of this concept before clicking but was locked in almost immediately. Great watch
your videos are so freaking awesome
This is actually a beautiful video.
Can’t believe this doesn’t have more views!
With Rise 'n Grind 2024 being cancelled this end result just gets funnier and funnier
really well done

On the liquipedia page, what do the parenthesis on the character icons mean?

Does PsychoMyko count as a cryptid?
Dude what the fuck
