I found the trick to using 100% acetone for the transfer was to warm up the metal first with a heat gun. After that the image would transfer pretty well. Not perfect, but definitely good enough to work from.
When you glued down your work to the wood how did you remove it without damage .. did you warm it up or just prise it free with a chisel or somthing ?. Keep the videos coming please, im just starting the engraving journey and you are helping alot. Cheers
Yer on these practice plates I just use something like a flat headed screw driver and just gently prise them up. Doesn't require much force, they just pop off. A plastic lever is probably a safer option if you don't want to damage it. :)
