Brings back memories. Did Toronto to Vancouver many many times. Saw black ice in Alberta, ice like you drove on, snow 50cm deep etc. Good on ya' you were prudent, and wise. Happy beginnings!

Cool video, didn't know your location specifics before. Glad you didn't need to come out to Vancouver. With the flooding and HWY 1 washouts it's brutal this time of year. Happy you made it safe. 👍

INteresting video ! I thought you were South African ? Have you moved to Canada or was this just a holiday ? A UHaul is an odd choice of vehicle, other than for moving

Oh man .. that's so funny. I clicked this after watching the multicam tutorial. I've been trying to teach myself DaVinci off and on for close to 3 years. 😂😂😂😂Keep at it!!

Uuurrggh! Used to take friends from Australia and New Zealand up and around Lake Superior from Wisconsin all the way around to Thunderbay and out through to Duluth in MN. A little different to driving in Aussie aye? lol. Drove from Cairns to Sydney a few times as well.

You are right, driving in winter demands skills. Can't wait to see snow in Québec :))

Thanks for sharing. We are thinking Toronto to Quebec city via Mont Tremblant. We've only driven once in snow in Tasmania. Do you think it's not a good idea? Ur opinion will be appreciated heaps. Ta

I’ve driven from Prince Edward Island to the Columbia Valley in BC, back and forth across Canada several times at all times of year, with others and alone, driving an SUV, a car, a 1/2-ton, sometimes pulling a small holiday trailer. This video shows almost nothing of the horrendous conditions you may encounter in winter. Examples: -40 F , a foot of snow, blinding blizzard, freezing rain, insane Indian truck drivers, ice as shown in the video, drunk drivers, winds that push your vehicle sideways, several inches of snow on or between driving lanes, whiteouts behind snowplows, pull outs and parks closed, small town models all full due to emergency weather conditions. Not to mention the possibility of vehicle breakdown or wildlife crossing roads. If the driver is unfamiliar with these conditions, my opinion is, DO NOT drive across Canada between November 1 and March 31.

Not a great time of year to travel across Canada.
Wave as you pass through the province of Quebec. Drive safe.
