    Just so you know there's somebody that keeps coming back to this video. This video is so calming and relaxing for some reason. I made the same trip in the winter and summer when moving back and forth between Edmonton and Toronto, summer is beautiful but also winter is just amazing in Northern Ontario.

    11:00 wow I remember watching this video before going on my trip cross country. I went on that very same look out a few months back luckily no snow. Also I remember being at old womans bay eating my beef jerky. It's crazy actually seeing this again after living it. To anyone thinking about doing it, I say 100%!!!

    I’ve driven on this route many times during the summer/fall. Next week will be my first time in the winter. I’m already dreading those hills around batchawana bay lol

    what beautiful land air and water and we don't for the most part appreciate it. my favorite book, Walden. visited walden cabin, it was a spiritual journey.

    I really like how you quoted details of the trip along with precautions to be taken. Wanted to ask you about the places or hotels you stayed and the amount of time you were on road. You know the patches you drove from A to B. If you can guide a bit on that.

      Sorry Arpit i don't really remember now where and when i stopped. I think the whole trip took about 6 days of driving roughly 7hrs/day

    What did you go through those 10min ago?

    • @subsurface3102
      @subsurface3102  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      white out conditions, couldnt see more than 10m in front of the car, high winds blowing snow around, snow getting deeper and deeper as i was driving through, with a 2wd car it was sketchy for sure.

    I would certainly take a Toyota Yaris on a trip like this. Toyota engines are high quality, maybe not the best for weight & stuff like that.
    I think the classic sedan/hatchback/wagon is the perfect mix, not Yaris or Chevy Spark lite, but also not a big gas gulping truck which would cost 3 times more in gas.
    However I hear the new Ford Rangers ain't bad on fuel economy.

    • @Zaptosis
      @Zaptosis 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I totally agree, trucks are too big, Yaris's are too small. Sedan/Hatchback is all you need unless you work in construction. HECK I have a Hyundai Elantra & it can tow up to 2,500 pounds, like I can easily tow my seadoo or a trailer. NO need for a truck.

    We stopped for lunch here on our way to Toronto from Vancouver. It's breathtaking in the summer. I've done Vancouver to Toronto and back about 5 times but never in the winter. Might do the trip again this winter. Planning to go late Dec or January. Did you have winter tires on? any recommendations? it gets pretty dicey when you get to the Coquihalla pass.
