- POV Winter adventures in Europe by truck DAF XG Nikotimer This time I left the parking lot in Poland on the border with Germany and go deep into Poland to unload to the client. Suddenly, snow fell and the roads froze, driving quickly is very dangerous, so I drive carefully and not quickly. I'm driving and I'm starting to get more snow and an interesting view outside the truck window. The truck stays on the road stably and confidently because there is cargo and it presses the trailer against the road. After arriving at the point where I was unloading the trailer, the night had already arrived and I managed to unload the trailer and began to rest. I drove this truck in ETS2 and loved it. The mirrors gave so much more vision out of the windows. In the computer game that mirror system made driving much more of a pleasure as I don't have VR.
It's the same in real control of this truck! Comfortable monitors inside the car give a more pleasant picture!
i like how the trucks gives distance to vehicles in front... in Indonesia trucks are like few feet behind another vehicle... and when an accident occurs they will blame "break failure".
There are also many drivers who do not keep a distance between trucks and sometimes accidents occur when the truck slows down sharply because they did not notice a traffic jam from trucks ahead, the one who is driving from behind no longer has a single chance to avoid a collision! There should be law forcing every trailer owner to mount at the end some kinda of wireless camera and it should be working with that tablet-type mirrors. It would be awesome.

I started learning last week for my trucking license + my PoC! I'll only be able to drive with 750kg trailers, but after I pass this I'm gonna try to get the license to carry the bigger trailers like yours! (I'm 20 btw) :)

Cooling unit on the semi-trailer is so loud! I did not think that is so hearable in the cockpit.
Sometimes drivers disconnect the trailer from the truck and drive three meters forward so that they can sleep at night. I am already used to and sleep with a working unit normally. In this car, the cabin is 40 cm larger and the low frequency resonance zone is shifted to the driver's seat and where the bed is located there is almost no low sound that in other trucks buzzes right in the lungs and is difficult to breathe!

@@nikotimer They look to be bright enough. What I meant was how far they point into the ground infront of you. I can't really tell, since it's a video, but you might be able to raise the cone a bit to make them reach further ahead of you.

Now I understand what you mean! This model has low-beam lights without the ability to adjust with buttons in the cockpit, I am helped by lights on the roof, but I rarely use them. @@nikotimer first year was hard. Now you just don't press brakes and wobble steering wheel. If you feel weel is light and easy it means black ice is beneath you. Every drive is not easy, but we do our job to delivere goods so other people have something to put on a table. This profession is not walk in the park, you must love what you do!

Isso eu não tenho a menor dúvida ,a daf vai ganhar o mercado do Brasil sim quando essas maquinas do tempo chegarem aqui
Acho que em breve serão apresentados novos Volvos com cabine estendida e então este será o principal concorrente. Mas se a DAF entrar no mercado brasileiro e as transportadoras ficarão satisfeitas com este caminhão. É muito confortável e consome pouco combustível.

I drive this truck in ETS2, but i prefer XD more, how reliable are these mirror cams 'Digital vision system'? Also how it feels to look at them as driver?
I got used to these cameras and no longer want to use ordinary mirrors because ordinary mirrors cause several inconveniences due to their size and position on the cabin. But personally, I never get used to the cameras when I’m driving back and I’m not good at keeping the truck and trailer straight to the line. The picture is distorted and it seems to me that the truck is driving crookedly. This is the only drawback for me personally!

Siemanko:) Pierwsze 10-20 km jechalem ostroznie i sie przyzwyczajalem do warunkow na drodze. Pare razy przetestowalem chamowanie i jusz kiedy mialem pewnosc ze pod sniegiem nie ma ldu a auto sie trzyma drogi stabilnie pojechalem szybcziej. Trzeba uwazac na dodawanie gazu i na chamowanie-bo moze tira zalamac w 3 secundy. No i trzeba zapomniec o retarderze zima!

Currently doing my license, and educational material said that if i goin over the speed limit(70 and 80) for more than 1 min the truck will register it(the card). It is bs or just truckers live with the consequences?
Tachographs in the European Union are set to exceed speeds of more than 90 kilometers per hour. If you drive at a speed of 91 km per hour for more than 60 seconds, the tachograph will record a violation. If you slow down to 90 km per hour on time, for example after 45 seconds, there will be no violation! If you accelerate the truck to 100 km per hour (for example, from a mountain down), the violation will be recorded immediately.😉

@@nikotimer I know :) I also know it may be not as easy of a job as it seems on a video. If I will ever go for it, the first thing will be getting my license upgraded so I can drive these big rigs.
In the video, I show a regular ride on wide freeways, sometimes on narrow national roads and this is 90% of the work. The rest of the time 10% is parking for unloading or parking for parking for trucks. There is nothing difficult about this job, you just need to get behind the wheel and get used to this big truck. V tomto voze si od roku 2021 můžete za příplatek vybrat kamery místo běžných zrcátek! Kamery jsou velmi pohodlné, ale je potřeba si na ně zvyknout a není to zrovna jednoduché. Ale už teď ráda cestuji s foťáky!

Привет! В Европе так принято, моргать поворотниками поочередно в благодарность за вежливость. Аварийка тут как раз имеет свой прямой смысл и в случаях когда что то случается впереди (например пробка или авария) - включается аварийка и все тормозят! Иначе (если не включить) могут приехать в зад!
@@nikotimer быстрее же аварийкой моргнуть, чем поворотником трещать два щелчка влево. два щелчка вправо ... а аварийкой - чик-чик и всё. Европа🤦♂🙆♂
@@georgeunknown2833 Тут просто разный смысл в этих миганиях. Если люди видят аварийку они тормозят (как правило) значит перед фурой препятствие! А если влево вправо-значит поблагодарили ))))

электронные зеркала это ерунда, еще нет камеры и не будет такой как человеческий глаз ближайшие лет 100 а может и 1000!
Да Вы правы, до человеческого глаза им как до парижа на коньках по асфальту. Есть несколько плюсов и преимуществ в сравнении с обычными зекркалами!
@@nikotimer у меня есть все электронные помощники и камеры вокруг но к сожалению пока глазами сам не увижу немогу доверить монитору, там отклик не тот и притормаживает картинка я немогу объяснить но глазами смотреть намного безопасней) А и мониторы больше слепят глаза немогу привыкнуть может это особенность моего организма но мне свет мониторов мешает смотреть вперед!
@@UginR Да согласен, у каждого свое восприятие. Я уже привык, первое время было сложно! Ночью в DAF мониторы снижают интенсивность в зависимости от освещенности! Хоть я и не люблю даже когда навигация светит в глаза ночью то мониторы как то не мешают...
