Why don't we talk about Crysis 3? Widely known as being not only the most emotionally impactful and thought provoking, but also giving us ties and insights into the first Crysis game whereas Crysis 2 felt only very loosely related and a lot of people thought the franchise would die out if it continued down the Crysis 2 path. We got Crysis 3, then the trilogy got a remaster, and now Crysis 4 has been announced.. Along with transhumanism, and what makes us human (Mind, body, spirit? All 3?) provoking at least some level of complex discussions ... the game reignited the series for a lot of old fans, and brought in a wave of new ones. Imo, it's so far the best in the franchise (and I've played the main trilogy) and I admit I have a bias towards C3.. I'm just kinda intrigued about why it didn't work so well for you. If you don't like the emotional mumbo jumbo then I don't blame you, some people just wanna be a badass black dude in a nanosuit 🤷🏻♂️😂
Crysis 3 was awesome. Got to learn more about the aliens which is always a plus, and best of all: Got to be the megachad who reverse dominated a hivemind with its own mind tricks and laughed like a badass while doing it :D Oh and become your own human nano colony at the end. Yeaaah!
Crysis 1 is beautiful. But the gameplay is not very good and fighting floating aliens for half of the gamee is not fun. Crysis Warhead, 2 AND 3 are much better.🙃
C3 is awesome, great FPS gameplay, one of the best if do say so myself. Although the story is abit rough but it still makes you feel something. I love it so much.
yeah its pretty fucked up. the "real" prophet (his body) is dead but his mind lifes in the suit on while a dead body is inside it. ironic but hey at the end the suit can be whatever you want as he shows.
And they have confirmed Crysis 4, hopefully we see Prophet, Psycho, and Nomad, and this game mentioned in Cell Intel that Lockhart from Crysis 2 had a nanosuit and was calling himself “Silverback”

It might be a bit difficult for them to think of a new plot since it seems that the main bad guys “the ceph” are all dead, possibly they’ll have to think of an new antagonist or bring them back with some explanation behind them coming back
@@NelsonLopez-ni8nd At the end of C3 Prophet said that for now war is over....wich means they might linger somewhere....plus we dont know did Psyco died in the aircraft soo good proposition for new C4 story could be that Alpha Ceph might did something to Psycho after Prophet pass through beam to space....and i guess that would be a window for Alpha Ceph to use Psycho as puppet for next Ceph scheme.....although its just my theory

somthing i dont think prophet understands is that pcycho is angry because of two main reasons one: he never really 'chose' any of this; prophet did, and he was brought along for the ride - yet he stuck through it, even after nearly all his freinds are dead two: the nano suit being taken from him was more then just a suit - maybe prophet forgot but the suit acts in symbiosis after all that time with the nano suit saving your life, being part of you, then having it ripped away; it must have felt like they took part of him with it, or a family member or clsoe freind for us normal humans i imagine for a sodlier, who's whole life is spent near the battlefeild - it must be somthing akin to being hit with a car and being wheelchair bound after losing your leggs you did not chose to get hit by that car, somone else made that choice for you, and now look, you cant walk or run or jump or go swimming anymore
1:39:30 I only realised just now you can hear both Prophet and Alcatraz grunting while falling through the rubble. The devs are really proving a point here that the suit's the one doing all the talking, and Alcatraz' body is just going along for the ride. Really a pretty messed up concept.
Whatever was inside that suit, is long dead. It's now literally a machine made of nano-bots, clinging to some memories so that it continues to believe it's human. That's the entire point of Crysis 3, about what makes us human? Is it our body, or our memories, or is it something deeper? It's why Psycho played a massive role here I feel, because now he's *just* human and he feels effectively... worthless. So Prophet, snaps him out of it and explains that if he wasn't human.. they'd all be dead. His value as a human being, has been key to Prophets success during most of the game. We also get to shoot goopy aliens with a boy and arrow and they go *slooooge* and it's awesome so.. take from it what you will 🤷🏻♂️😂
So Prophet in Crysis 2 is now dead because he got infected with the Manhattan Virus, due to the suit being a potential hazard for him, which I don't know how, but it's stated as it is. He battles his last, pulls and rescues Alcatraz whose nearly dead from his injuries. He goes to the building where he commits suicide to prevent the nanosuit from fully integrating with him or being taken over by the virus, or another reason. Alcatraz is now in the suit with Prophets consciousness, DNA, memories etc being stored in the suits databank. So at the end of Crysis 2, Alcatraz who was still functional, albeit a silent protagonist for most of the game, goes into the Spear, and the suit almost is destroyed. They battled, came out but now because of the damages to the suit, Alcatraz's consciousness storage is corrupted, so the suit tries to restore Alcatraz's, but is corrupted so Barne's was more intact. Crysis Escalation deals with the remaining tug of war between the two's minds. But I think The Barne's soul is gone, and Alcatraz's soul is still dormant inside that suit, or his mind is wiped, and therefore it's gone. Think now, the only thing that's left is his body, which probably the face is gone, and only his body is now being barely sustained by the suit and is remodeled by nanotech. Or either it left when he was already nearly dead.
I'm pretty sure for 3 they just increased the framerate for modern consoles and maybe touched up the graphics a tiny bit but 3 was already basically flawless
