We ran the game on 2K on the PC with the graphics fairly high. We played on controller, because we're controller noobs. Not KB+M master race unfortunately..... lol. Hope you enjoy the game movie!

I remember getting used to “Flickering” Stealth Mode on and off the split second before I shoot to not waste suit power and stay undetected. It became instinctual.
It’s been awhile and I only had the chance to play the 2nd and 3rd game but I remember doing that with snipers cause otherwise the shot would not hit were the crosshairs is, like hip firing in cod accuracy if you fired a sniper. It may have just been the multiplayer where that was a feature

Best game of the Crysis franchise, still remember playing it in 2008 as a kid, brings back so many good memories.
1:05:06 this was always my favorite part, the aesthetic of a frozen forest in summer is amazing.
Also 58:04 was a magnificent transition

Crysis really paved the way for what you can do when you actually put effort into a sole project. This was so good because they made a campaign only. No multiplayer. Nothing else to focus on and they pushed the limits hard. I wish the follow up games had gotten some better tweaking plot wise on campaign. Unfortunately, just like all other things...other companies pushed their main titles (BF & COD) with so much more money marketing wise, that this just got pushed into the background unless you were a die hard.

now why couldn't they keep these Alien designs in the sequels? they were cool, they were unique, but instead... we get generic in 2 and 3. then there is the dangling plot threads they abandoned of freezing the planet, the Korean's, and Nomad's fate.

It's because they downgraded for consoles. I'm not joking. The consoles back then couldn't handle the flying agile aliens so we went with red squids in armour while also simplifying the nano suit.

It's not that Crysis 2 and 3 were bad games, they were pretty damn good. But I would rather see them continue the story of Nomad

Agreed. Crysis 2 and 3 is a massive letdown compared to this game. Imagine having a beautifully structured and intriguing story with good characters, then throwing it all out the window and going down with generic "Hurr-durr red humanoid aliens in New York with Big Boss at the end" trope.

"Hey let's not make a sequel on the frozen island with new alien types and gameplay mechanics but let's downgrade the mechanics for consoles and have prophet posses a mute character while we forget about all the other ones." It boggles my mind 10 years later.
This one was abit more about stealth and silent headahots...certain areas required you to hang ten and cloak up till enemies were clear...i also loved how it started as a military shooter then aliens freezing things..remastered is awsome.

He's playing on either easy or normal difficulty because on hard the AI won't let that fly.

When cloacked, before shoot turn off stealth. It will allow you to preserve health and back to stealth mode

Great video but you play like this is your first playthrough 1-not decloacking before firing 2-refusing to get into the AA during alien holdouts 3- not choking enough kpa 4- targeting the boat while on the boat etc

Im not a gamedeveloper. Can someone explain to me why no one improves the polycount on remastered games? Is it such extensive work to do? That would make a huge difference, like when you see the outdated Nanosuit models in Crysis.

I don't like the fact that they made the suit's default mode max strength. Also you cannot access max speed but can use it while in max strength. They went full crysis 2 with the suit functionality.

All Game development companies should learn for how to design a game with good graphics and story from Naughty Dog Studio.
These 3rd party companies are charging higher cost for each game, does these level of quality of games really deserve your 60 USD!? I don't think so...
Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Rebellion, Microsoft game studios and Square Enix, these are the market giants and they are Delivering inferior quality games not on that level of quality in terms of 5th generation Graphics. A small group of companies with limited sources in few rooms can design a game The Last of Us and uncharted on PS4 then why these companies are not delivering on game quality like What Naughty Dogs are Delivering..... Naughty Dogs games are like 5th generation games on last generation console PS4 despite having limited sources.
Boycott these companies Seriously, we need to make them realized what they are doing currently.
