It's funny how quickly the Bernie Vlogs changed into an episodic "Ellie's Post-Apocalyptic Training" series

He admitted to it in a podcast though honestly I thought he was joking. Not anymore.
He never denied it. In fact, he made it his very clear goal to make her a body guard of sorts, there was an entire vlog about it.

If Ellie ever needs to rewrite her resume I don't think she should put "secretary" as her previous job, "highly trained assassin" would be more fitting at this point.

He probably has loads and when he finds which one he wants he'll put them up against Ellie, whoever survives wins.
Burnie is actually very capable and good at what he does. They hired Ellie (recently, mind you) simply because he's so busy; not because he couldn't do things on his own. He's still fully capable of doing stuff like this himself. Basically, they hired a badass to assist a busy badass.
He talked about in one of the RT Podcasts that they company really wanted him to have a PA and tho he felt like he didn't need one he finally accepted and thou she does a lot of Pa stuff he basically just gives her a butt load of amazing opportunities.
So he wants to do a real life game of PUBG then

As someone who leans more right than left, and someone who has a great affinity for guns, I think its really cool to see someone who was.... unsure about guns give them a try and learn about them. She really seemed like she had a lot of fun, and im glad that they kept the part in where she said it was nice to break bread with those guys. Unity is something we need in this country right now! Burnie is clearly involved with something in LA and Austin that he can't talk about. So, he sends Ellie to do crazy stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if he just shows up one day on the vlog and tells the community about something huge. I'd also say this 'Ellie series' is for the audience to be familiarized with Texas as a state and not just Austin as a city.

Burnie should actually be training her how to use the medieval weapons in the AH office, that would be much more likely to come in handy during an apocalypse situation (considering availability, noise, ammo etc.)
No matter what your views are on firearms, a fun day on the range is still fun, and you can see firearms don't have to be just for killing. Just like archery it can be just for fun. Good job Ellie I teach handgun safety, concealed carry, and defensive pistol. First time long range you did wonderful!
You are right, the best way to educate people is to get them out on the range and behind the trigger.

I am truly enjoying Ellie’s journey into becoming a badass bodyguard assassin ninja.
This is what the shooting sports are all about. Self-improvement, competition, camaraderie, and great fun. The best way to convince an anti-gun person is to take them shooting and see why it's so much fun. Great vlog episode!

Shot 200 rounds of 230gr ball with my 1911 Commander this weekend. Loved it. But then I sat down to shoot some 30-30 and 5.56 NATO. Good times.
I'm a heavy heavy conservative, and ive only had two instances where I've ever shot a gun. Both when I was a kid. And I was terrible. Haven't done it since. 😁

My recollection of sniper training in the army was weeks of being sat in the rain chatting to (or as) a spotter. This looks much more fun. Excellent job Ellie!
I'm genuinely in awe of Ellie, and how she takes whatever Burnie throws her way really well and picking up all the things she is learning and finding out so quickly/smoothly. Also being so lovely the whole way through everything.

No gun skills but im a master in taekwondo, done 5 years in judo and ju jitsu. Mastered many weapons like the katana, sai, bo staff, spears (dragon spears), naginata, kusari gama, and flail. Ive done kyuudo and kendo.
