Barrel harmonics being different is what leads to imprecision. For example if you shoot the gun with the barrel freefloated and then take a shot with the barrel resting on your cover the shot is going to impact differently. However, if the tension is always the same, such as leaving the camera on the gun for every shot you are going to take, then there is no issue. In fact, sometimes weights attached to the barrel can lead to better precision due to dampening vibrations of the barrel. This is one reason silencers sometimes improve the accuracy of a rifle, or clip on/barrel mounted bipods are okay if you always rest the gun on the bipod as is common for LMG and HMG.

No, In army you're going to get the standard issue weapon that is used in your country. In my country if you join e.g. SWAT squad you're going to get BREN or CZ-SCORPION. Standard issue sniper rifle is Sako TRG-22 here.
There are some rule about the gun you'll receive cuz they mostly cost about 900-2000 USD so if you break it villingly you're going to pay it or parts of it.

He's doing basic sniper training, which is totally different from actually being in the army. Another point, usually people can't film it or do what he's doing, it must be some kind of special permit to promote the military, even though Novritsch isn't doing it on purpose, but the army might see this way.

hey novritsch, how do instructors react to you filming? like when you were in the classroom did you just ask if you could quickly shoot a bit for the video or do you kinda arrange it before hand? also, do the instructors or even other soldiers treat you any different or get a bit annoyed when you record something, i just feel like it would put them on edge if they were teaching a serious lesson and then you just asked if you could shoot some footage for a youtube video. awesome videos though, keep up the great work!

First I'd like to say I'm very impressed of the person you are because joining the the military is not for the faint of heart. Second I love your videos. They are well done and to the point. You give very good explanations to the what you are talking about. I'm trying to get a airsoft rifle but things are tight and really cant afford a decent AEG that is upgradable. And to be honest a little jealous that there isn't a big enough airsoft field near me for a sniper. The closest one to me that's half decent is like 2 hours away. I kinda have to live through your videos. I love the fields you get to play on I'm very envious of you. I wish you the best of luck and be safe my friend. And keep the videos coming. I look forward to you videos every day...keep them coming..

The Sturmgewehr 77 is more commonly known as the Styer AUG. (StG is short for Sturmgewehr. That means Assault Rifle)
Stg77 is just the name they use in the Austrian Bundesheer and police force
Aug (Armee universal Gewehr) is the global name

I just went n school camp and we went on a typical military parade each morning for the days activity briefing. One of our teachers was a major in the Australian military and it was fitting because we slept at an old military barracks. It's cool because the way you were all lined up and the movements were almost identical to what we did

They let you vlog in the military?
lich5164four guaranteed other countries know where this base is, and how all those snipers work. The countries also know how to aim and have spotters to watch the bullet. This material is very basic, so he isn't saying classified information. I also guarantee that the military is monitoring his material that he uploads.
Nov is simply undergoing refresher training for reservists which lasts just two weeks of every second year during his first 10 years of reserve duty. As the Bundesheer abolished mandatory reserve training in 2006 it now has a shortage in manpower which means they could probably use the publicity.
He's really not vlogging, he has a cameraman!?! The camera is panning and covering him from different angles. Makes me wonder if has like a celebrity/documentary agreement. I just can't see ANY military allowing a soldier to film like this.

Do you use the MIL or MOA system on your scopes? I presume you are trained in both :)
Most snipers around the world are switching to Mil turrets and reticles with more reference points for holdovers. It is less precise but much faster which ironically improves the probability of hitting a fleeting target.
