The Achievement Hunter Office: where something has a lifespan of a couple minutes when usually it would have a couple years

If you guys wanted to learn an instrument, Rocksmith 2014 is a game like rock band that teaches you actual guitar as well as bass guitar.
PlanetFinesse Rocksmith doesn’t actually teach you how to play guitar. It doesn’t teach technique and why you do certain things. It basically just says,”Play these notes, but we won’t tell you why”
Oh really? It taught me how to play guitar. It doesn't go into detail of scales and such but from not being able to play an instrument to being able to play guitar bass and actually build a rhythm to my playing. I have videos of me playing Rocksmith and you can see it defiantly helped me learn to play guitar, along with the other thousands of people who wanted to learn. It's also a great tool to go into and slow down certain parts of a song you want to learn and build up in speed and difficulty to practice at your own pace.
There is also a mode in the game called "lessons" which teach you techniques ranging from putting on a guitar strap to harmonics, to hammer-ons then to harder stuff like pinch harmonics and tapping.
Iceman93x It's not the end all be all for sure, but there are lessons in game that demonstrate some different techniques you'd pick up. An instructor would deff be better so you can get real feedback (Example: Rocksmith doesn't pay much attention to mutes or harmonics), but sans that, I'd say it beats just picking up a guitar and some tabs on your own.
I've played lead guitar for about 13 years now and am study music at college. Just playing rocksmith will only get you so far. A good grasp of musical theory will go a long way in your playing. Definitely worth checking out Synyster Gates' free online guitar school. Incredibly in depth material and a heavy focus on technique and understanding the things you play.
Like so many have said, Achievement Hunter has helped me through so dark times and you guys are the reason I am pursuing my passion for art. I wanted to repay you guys by doing a series dedicated to each of you and I wanted to know what each of you would like to receive in a piece that you could frame and appreciate?

For A Way Out, what if you have Play Pals play one character and Battle Buddies play the other without talking to the other team? Doubt there's many that would watch both teams doing their own playthrough and this might be an interesting way to play (depends on if the game can be played decently that way).

my brother let go of a wiffle ball bat at the end of a swing... those thin yellow plastic sticks... it flew almost to 1st base... knocked the two front teeth out of the neighborhood bully (who demanded to play). they may not seem it, but those pucks will definitely knock out teeth.

nope they were his perms... we were around 10 - 12 y/o... he was a few years older. my brother and i ran home immediately. soon as i saw it "whoomp whoomp whoomp whoomp" spinning towards his face i was bolting in the other direction. we were dragged back out by our parents to help him look for his teeth in the tall grass. we were terrified of the aftermath.... my parents made us pity hang with him after... he terrorized us even more... until the lil crazy next door neighbor kid ran up and pulled down his pants and peed all over him in the cul de sac.
never saw him again after that. (luckily we moved very soon after). he may still be out there plotting our demise.
