Burnie and Ashley head to Los Angeles to host the first ever Purpose Awards as well as support the Rooster Teeth family at the Streamys. Then it's away to Toronto, where Burnie and Ellie help out on the set of the Barenaked Ladies' latest music video. As an accountant i have nightmares just thinking about it.
id would say it could all be tax (right off ) deductible, i dont know what the Americans call it. but ya the cost of all of the stuff he does must mount up very quickly.
Edgewalk is $175 Canadian I think (per person). Not cheap, but less than some of the other stuff he's had Ellie doing.
It probably falls under company expenses and doesn't hurt his account that much. Except the Ellie assassin training. That's probably on him.

I mean, obviously, but I think he genuinely appreciates the content they create and likes them as people, otherwise they wouldn't have made that investment. They really curate the people they have in the RT family from top to bottom
Of course, he's just proud that another member (a new one at that) of the RT family is getting recognition. Everyone knows Burnie is a proud father when it comes to the content under the RT umbrella.
I feel like every time there is a button that says "do not push" it should be a legal requirement that there is an explanation next to it about what that button does. Otherwise telling me not to push it just makes me curious and want to push it more, but if I know it activates the kitten squasher I'm less likely to push it.

My guess is that it fires the CN Tower's rocket engines.
There was an emergency stop button in a tram I was on once.
The fine for using the button inappropriately was 20 dollars.

its probably a test to see if your irresponsible or have disregard for safety before they go hang off a building with you
I like that the vlog is showing us the other things Rooster Teeth does. I didn't know they were in business with Barenaked Ladies and they won an award for it, that's amazing.

Burnie I will tell you now. I spent 2 weeks in Africa in Tanzania and it was the greatest trip of my life. Don't know if you'll ever see my comment here but if you do, GO TO TANZANIA! It will change your life.

He's explained a number of times that he wears 'em for fashion reasons.
Burnie got lasik eye surgery a few years back but still needs glasses to read (if I remember that podcast correctly). But he's so used to having to wear glasses (and people seeing him wear glasses), he wears just the frames now without the lenses for that reason and the glare reason.

He said on a podcast once who makes the frames (they're real glasses frames), but yes there are no lenses. He got LASIK, but then decided he missed the glasses look so he still wears empty frames.

Heights are so much different with a safety harness, tho. I've worked up at the top of the mast of aircraft carriers installing antennas, and it is freaking terrifying, but in the back of my mind I know it's all good because I'm wearing a harness.
Don't worry Ellie! It was built by a Canadian Railroad with steel and concrete. There's a good chance you could bounce 5 747s off of it and it will still stand.

Watching this video has completely confirmed for me that I will NEVER do the Skywalk in Toronto (I live an hour away from there.) Just watching the video footage was giving me a panic attack. Facing your fears head on is a good idea in theory but when they cause a debilitating panic attack, it's best to just leave it alone

If they were there at that time, I'll be sad. ;) I only live an hour drive away from Toronto (or a 40 minute drive and a train ride) and I've never been up the CN Tower. I would never go outside even if I did go up. :P

The funniest thing to me about an "Africa Experience" is that it would be almost completely different everywhere you went. Each country has such unique history and culture, and the landscapes, while vast, are surprisingly varied. Tanzania is a great start, but don't miss out on the entire west coast or central countries thinking it'll be the same thing!
It's kinda cool to see Burnie walking through places I've walked through before. (In Toronto) It's also weird seeing that area so empty, I've been there at midnight and there were still people going through that walkway area beside the CN tower.

I'm not afraid of heights, but every time I'm in a high place I become obsessed with the thought of what it would be like to jump and how the fall would feel. It's not a suicidal thing, but I just can't stop thinking about it.

I was scared of heights so I started rock climbing and went on my first climb in Alabama in 2012. It cured me too.
Ugh heights just absolutely cripple me. I salute you both because I don't think I could have done that.
