Hell yeah dude I’m about to order one right now I appreciate the video man my IS has been feeling a little more sluggy lately and I’m about to do some overhaul as it’s my daily driver as well 👏🏻👏🏻
Before you install that piece of plastic on the Throttle body sensor. By watching your engine check light and the Blinking Traction control light (on the lower left corner dash box). You already got a Malfunction Throttle body sensor. I have the same problem. It is scan Problem code P1120.
William Turner Im in the southern parts of the U.S, it didn’t take long to get to my house but i don’t know how long it’ll take to get to you with all this covid bs
TAGallStar I got my things. Not impressed with shipping time. 2 months. wtf. I put er in and my foot pedal was really really stiff, you have this issue? My throttle is now stuck, can’t put my foot down. So now I have to redo it all. I might have put it in backwards or it fell out of place while driving. So all n all, not at all impressed with it. Even though it was only just over 20$ Canadian, unless your going to use as a reference to make a metal one I don’t suggest buying one. Just upgraded your manifold.
There is a slightly less of a delay but it unfortunately makes the pedal really stiff. I also didn’t get a chance to drive my car much after this video. Its been down since this video
Hey I just bought a Is300 and I been hoping to run into an owner to see if the hesitation was a known issue.. not a fan of this so I was gonna see about doing this mod but how has it held up over time, would you still recommend this?
Yeah the trans and ecu in the is300 can be sluggish, and I haven’t got the chance to drive my car much after I did the mod, but when the car was running, it didn’t give me any problems other than the pedal getting really stiff. I think its a good item to use to eliminate the car’s sluggish attitude
@@robhernandez7322 ask as many questions as you like, im here to help, Xcessive recommends that you don’t use cruise control or traction with the piece installed bc the piece will interfere with the way the throttle body controls airflow for cruise control and traction control. U can have traction control on but if you are going to drive aggressively they recommend that you turn it off
I haven’t taken the time to remove it yet because my car is down rn but I explained the issues and how it feels in another video th-cam.com/video/YnW9Jib7LHA/w-d-xo.html
Pavel probably a month or two now. The only issue I’ve found is that when the engine is cold and you drive around, the car sputters when press in the gas from a stop. But when the engine is warm it acts normal
How does the transmission controller limit engine torque during a shift? 🤔 Also, you’ve eliminated the linear throttle map which is not better. You should re-tune the ECU throttle map instead. Don’t delete your ETC. the hesitation is programmed in. It’s not a physical limitation or the throttle motor.
Don’t worry this is an old video, I plan to return the car back to normal when I get it back on the road. Thanks for watching and information as well 🙏🏾
Will this work for 2002 Is300 Manual 5 speed? I noticed my cable was loose and I tightened it the other day but same hesitation? Maybe this is what I will need? Thanks
These things are junk. I've had one installed for 3-4 years. Only thing it achieved is making the accelerator pedal twice as stiff as it was. Only reason to use one of these is if your DBW throttle craps out altogether and you need to get your car back up and running.
I haven’t driven my car long with that thing installed so I don’t have much on input about it, but it definitely makes the pedal really stiff. With todays advances, theres no point in this mod now like u said.
@@tagallstar I just got my turbo IS300 back up and running; now with Link G4x ECU. Using a Bosch Motorsports 68mm DBW throttle and an adapted accelerator pedal from a C6 Corvette... The pedal feels great, and the throttle response is absolutely beautiful - at least as good as a traditional cable throttle - plus I can now incorporate throttle position into my traction/launch control, as well as make cruise control functional again. Soooo much better than the original Toyota DBW system.
@@icuxo I have two IS300s. The one with the throttle lock is basically stock with just some wheels and IS350 front brakes. The other car is turbocharged, T56, Link ECU, etc. That car is a GE-VVTi, but has a GTE plenum, Dodo GE-T lower runners, Bosch 68mm DBW throttle and a TAARK adaptor for the throttle. ABS not removed. I didn’t even know they offered this.

Ive been having this issue for a while and wondered if there was a way of deleting dbw, i like the video bro, keep it up. peace.

we have the exact same body damage on the back bumper to the left

glad you were able to overcome , watching from Las Vegas

These will ruin the TCM. It's been proven many times.
