  • PARTS LIST NOW AVAILABLE BELOW.
    As much as I love my IS300 there was one thing I hated. The worst part of the car was all the oil leaks! Every gasket was broken, burned, and just not doing its job of holding the oil in the engine. From the valve cover gaskets, cam gaskets, VVti cam gasket, down to the main seal… it was all leaking. The engine has approximately 175,000 miles and it was never taken care of. I took a few weeks to order all new parts ( plus the parts that broke during the removal ) and revived this thing while adding some upgrades. Now when I drive it it feels healthy and doesn’t smell like burning oil and leaving oil stains everywhere.
    Anyways enjoy !
    Thanks for watching !

    Thanks for the video!! My favorite information was the excessive throttle lock!! Simple fix for a common problem.

    I just bought an 03 GS 300 from FB Marketplace that has leaks from everywhere. This JDM specialty shop wouldn't work on it. I'm trying to remain hopeful and this helped!

      Glad I can help a bit with the full parts list. I still have a little leak from the rear main seal. But that’ll be for a future video I’m working on when I replace my clutch.

      @@Inline6TV sounds good! I just looked at all the codes it’s throwing and might just get rid of it lol! Oil and MAF issues. Crankshaft timing smh

    Excellent job. But can you go over how you cleaned the spark plug valley so damn well?! I just got done taking the intake off to do the plug wires and cleaning up, and couldn't get it nearly as clean as yours!

      I stuffed the openings with tissue paper, used brake cleaner and a toothbrush to knock the dirt loose. Then using like a microfiber rag I wrapped a flat head with the towel and cleaned as much as I could with brake cleaner.

    Your lacking on oil changes based on the inside of your engine. A few oil changes with shell rotella t6 10w30 would clean it up

    • @Inline6TV
      @Inline6TV  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah the previous owner did not take care of this car. I’ve been doing oil changes every 4500 miles since I’ve got it. Thanks for the recommendation though I might try that to see if It cleans it up more

      @@Inline6TV does your is300 consume oil between changes? My oil level is half way on the stick and I also read that 2jz can consume up to 1 quart of oil every 1200 miles

      Sorry for the late response I just read this comment, but no my car does not consume oil between oil changes. I also do an oil change every 4500 miles

    what do you use to clean the engine bay?

    • @Inline6TV
      @Inline6TV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Like the oil off the engine ? I used brake cleaner. To clean up the covers and bay I use dish detergent and water or all purpose cleaner.

    Is that engine oil in the pan or drip from using degreaser? If so thats smart.

    • @Inline6TV
      @Inline6TV  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Drips from using the degreaser so I don’t get the floor too dirty

    How is the throttle with the slack taken out of it?

    • @Inline6TV
      @Inline6TV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      100% better. The car feels stronger when you floor it and after replacing the throttle cable and adjusting everything properly there’s no delay when hitting the gas.
