basementghosts, He still helps me feel and deal with my pain. Esp. songs such as this one. I am intimately familiar with suicide. I am glad to hear he helps you too. Stay strong M8.
I love this song, I love Ziggy, I love Bowie. He is gorgeous !!! Bowie is the best of all the times. God, thank you so much, for this man have fallen in our planet.
Lately I've found out that most of the songs I've "DISCOVERED" that has blown me away is an old song by Bowie! Or covers of old Bowie songs. Unlike others, Bowie truely is ROCK ROYALTY!
This is even better than the 1973 "farewell performance" but that's Bowie, just keeps on getting better. A little frightening to think that there were 17 years from Ziggy Stardust to this but twenty years from this to now. Can't see much of today's music getting hits on TH-cam 38 years after first release but rendez-vous in 2038 and we'll see.
@2:44 has to be one of my favourite moments in his entire career. that magnificent voice, echoing through 42 thousand clapping people (if I recall correctly he sold out Tokyo Dome stadium that night). He had such an amazing career. Thank you for uploading this.
Dear Rebel! This is the Sound and Vision Tour, 1990. Three years before the Black Tie White Noise Release. In the Sound and Vision Tour, Bowie traveled all over the world, i think it is one of his biggest tours with "Reality" cheers!
I first heard the farewell Hammersmith version of this song when I was 12 years old, a few years after my father died. And to this day, this song remains thee only song that brings my to tears everytime I hearken. God bless you, Bowie.
@LiveLaughLucky Yes!!! That was awesome thank you for catching it! More people should pay attention to the awesome details like that, like when John Lennon does the Elvis (or Cash) move in Hello Goodbye.
I love this song, is one of my favorites of him...and his performance in this concert really really touch me... I haven't words for describing how amazing is Bowie...he's wonderful...
This song tells a story about many people. To me it's a song about facing the cold hard truth about reality and expelling your demons. I WAS this song at many points in my life. But I like how he ends positively, which is the only conclusion one can come to and face tomorrow.
that's like the 3rd live video i've watched of that song in the last few minutes... and i noticed he changes the lyrics each time and none of the videos i watched matches the actuall original lyrics =)) love u bowie... masterpiece
That little bit of hair falling out on his forehead made me think there was a golden circle painted on his forehead again. I've never seen him look more like Ziggy after '73 than in this video.
Hi! I've read that someone asked "is it about his sexuality", I can answer no, cause it's a song about all the artists dead too early cause of overdoses! Cool video, thanks for sharing!5*! BYE!
I love David Bowie...hes so sexy besides his hair. OMG in the labyrinth videoo he was so sexy i was like omgg every time i saw himm i love him so muchhh whoever is married to him is really lucky
uh Iman. duh. and yes, she is extremely lucky. even though Bowie is technically old enough to be my grandfather, i still find him unbelievably attractive.
I apologize but I believe you are mistaken; I was referring to some earlier comments posted here. The posters all alleged that the lead guitar was off in some way and I ventured that the guitar was NOT (to quote myself; "I dunno guys, the electric guitar doesn't sound off to me at all..." - note the use of DOESN'T). I assume Bowie would have a competent player who was playing in-key and on-time and that was exactly what I was defending. I believe you misunderstood what I was saying....
When he yells "youre not alone" it always sends shivers up my spin.
Same here. Superb.
1990
That’s when he touched my hand in 1973. I worshipped him. xxxx
過去に帰れるとしたらこの曲を観たい、今の時代に必要な歌
The emotion on his face at the beginning just after he says “ see if we all remember this one” until he starts singing. 😭
this song has brought me back from the darkest of places. i'll always love bowie for that.
basementghosts, He still helps me feel and deal with my pain. Esp. songs such as this one. I am intimately familiar with suicide. I am glad to hear he helps you too. Stay strong M8.
Suffering right now want to go get out of this pain playing David trying to hold on
1990
He takes his guitar off, and it vanishes into thin air, just another piece of evidence to show that David bowie is god. :D
I loved Bowie for a year before I saw him live in 1973. And though he’s left us I love him still and always will. Xxxx❤❤❤❤❤
I love this song, I love Ziggy, I love Bowie. He is gorgeous !!!

1990
so grateful for the joy that David Bowie brought into my life
Not many songs can break your heart and mend it all in one go. But Bowie does it effortlessly with many songs. This is one of those.
this might be my favorite performance of this song, he tears it up! this song is one of my favorites ever, such a beautiful song. Wonderful.

@LadyBowie1119 You are right, maybe he had a laryngitis when he did this concert? (check out "Suffraggette City" from the same performance)
