She silently went away and took her own life in the midst of norwegian nature 09.09.23. Since she was a big Bowie-fan, Absolute Beginners or Heroes would have suited well. Years ago she had drawn that avatar I am using here. I will miss her to the end of my days.😭

Lost my beautiful wife in 2001. I thought I had no tears left, but after the sad news of David I realise I do have tears...lots of tears. Been playing "Heroes" a lot and welling up. I've been a bass player for just over 40 years, some of that time as a full time professional. I can honestly say that Gail is amazing as a bass player and also as a vocalist. She's got such a lovely touch on bass.

I thought I had no tears left, but after the sad news of David I realise I do have tears...lots of tears.
Been playing "Heroes" a lot and welling up.
Don't ask why but I only just found this extraordinary performance, and the emotive lyrics, and astonishing musicianship
and passion in David's performance, and whilst reading all the comments have reduced me to a blubbering wreck!
We are from the same time, and those halcyon days of the sixties are with me forever......xx

Music has a way of bringing our emotions out and has a way taking us to a time of when things were special in our life. Be strong tho it's not easy. But, we will all meet again one day after we have departed this life. For sure!!!

I've loved Bowie music since the early '70s.........but, this song has always been my favorite. The lyrics and chord changes are simply genius and quite honestly it's all I can do to keep from weeping openly. Rest in Peace, David.

This song came out in my teens, radio and everything in Sweden!🙂David Bowie was always around in my teens! When we lost him, it suddenly hit hard! I could actually listend to him more! The fun talented gue is gone! No more Jones stuff in the future!!😢
His voice is so beautiful. I wish I listened to him more when he was alive. Thank God we have his amazing voice forever with us. He looked so happy during this concert. That's what real love does to a person and he had it with his wife and children. May God bless and keep them.
