Tea is not brewed in tea kettles, which is what you have. The water is boiled in them and then transferred to a teapot or mug. That is where the tea is added. Tea kettles were only for water because hot water was needed for other uses besides tea.
Hi Andrea. I love shopping with you! Here where I live, there aren't that kind of antique shops. That is why it is a pleasure to accompany you and see all those things that you see and those that you take home. Blessings and much of love ❤🌹
Yesterday while at Walgreens waiting to get photos printed I saw your entryway on the cover of "Better Homes & Gardens Cottage Style" magazine. I thought, "That's Andrea's home!" and, of course I had to buy it!♡ Yesterday was 70 and sunny here in Ohio so I sat on my porch and savored every page and detail of your article. I have always loved that 3 tier basket in your entry that your mother found for you. Congrats 🎉 on the article and blessings on you and your family! God is good❣
I was just at CVS in line to check out and noticed a BHG magazine with your adorable entryway on the cover! Congratulations! So glad that they featured you.
Beautiful items you found!!! Thanks for sharing with all of us!!! Love your channel and the love and peace you inspires me after a long day of work coming home and drink a cup of coffee and relax watching your videos, very comforting ❤❤God bless you!
What a beautiful haul! I love all of your finds! That pitcher is just gorgeous!!! I’m so glad y’all had a wonderful vacation with family. ❤ Happy Easter!
Andrea, I picked up this months edition of BH & G’s Cottage Style magazine (which happens to be my favorite decorating magazine!) and your house and sweet family were in it -as you know! So was Lisa Bass’ Farmhouse on Boone (previous) house and her family were in it! How exciting!
The large board looks great alone beside the basket cart: you wouldn't want to clutter up that corner and detract from your kitchen counter, would you? As for the wall space near the stove: why not use your own art??? You have wonderful style! Perhaps create a themed piece for each season of the year and change out the canvas? Blessings!!!
It’s possible that your copper tea pot is lined with lead which is why it is so heavy. Really old copper pieces were lined with lead before they used tin. So beware. I think you can have it tested to find out! I would have bought that in a heart beat! So beautiful! Thanks for a fun video.
I'm the same way-- regretting not buying things. It comes from honing a habit of wise stewardship. It's not a bad thing, but rather, the fruit of a spiritual discipline. Bravo! Funny thing is, the Lord will often provide the same thing at some later time at a better price or in better condition. And if not, I didn't need it and I am freer without it.
Hi Andrea! Welcome home!....You have such a sweet decor style and your home is so bright and welcoming. I love that!...what a fun vacation you must have had being with family at the beach and antiquing, nothing better than that!...your thrifting finds are wonderful....I am so in love with that little pitcher and the huge wooden decor piece is fantastic....if you don't mind, can you tell how much it cost?.....looking forward to all your new videos that you will be making.....Blessings and Happy Resurrection Day! 😊
I love the rug in your living room. Do you remember where you purchased it. I like all the items you purchased in your haul. Thanks for sharing. Happy Easter ✝️
The scalloped pitcher is adorable. I can see it filled with a variety of flowers throughout the seasons. The large cutting board and copper tea kettle have found a great new home. Have a marvelous week.
Love watching your antique/vintage shopping finds!! I love both and decorating my house with them but no shops per say on the island I live on in Alaska. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home. Have a blessed Easter.
Can you tell us how you clean your thrift finds when you get home . especially ones that are utilitarian and utensils and pots/kettles, etc. that you will cook with . Thank you
Hello I’m new but ever sense I got across ur video I just love everyone of them that I started trfting and goodwill and started buying lots of beautiful dishes not that I dint had any but now I look at the bottom of everything and had found lots of expensive things for cheap prices. Thanks and again I love ur channel and can’t wait for every video. Happy Easter for all your family!
❤Andrea, you find the most beautiful things. Thanks for sharing. I would get the copper tea kettle relined. I believe there is a gal in your area ( if I’m not mistaken) that does that sort of work. Shaye from the Elliot Homestead gets her antique copper relined by her and says she does a phenomenal job.
My parents had a home in the outer banks when we weee growing up so I feel completely blessed to have those wonderful memories and share them with my children and now my granddaughter! What a wonderful time!
Well, I'm glad it's not just me. I pass things up that I love all the time, and then I kick myself later and wonder "WHY didn't I buy that????" 🤔Of course, when I go back to find it, it's gone! Ugh!! 😓
Wonderful finds! We have several things in common. I live in southwest Michigan, we vacation in emerald isle, NC and I have my great grandparents copper kettle from the late 1800s from Sweden. It is a treasured possession. Love your channel. Happy Easter
hey girl- So happy your back😘 loved the video!😀😉 Great finds! I am glad your Mom went back and got you the pitcher. It is so cute👍 y'all have a wonderful Easter Weekend🐣🌸
Andrea, you are like me. I go thrifty and gravitate to things I already have so many of. And your love of landscape art is like my obsession for floral art. The butter dish! I just bought one similar at an antique mall for $22.00 so that one was a good price and I loved that biscuit jar LOVED IT! I sometimes have that regret for passing things up, too. I believe that if I really want and need it, it will be there when I go back. Of course it has to be a local shop...LOL!
I so enjoyed your post! My parents used to have a house on Oak Island & I used to love spending time there. Especially so great to go shopping for treasures in Southport. You sure found some beautiful things. Thanks for sharing with us!😊
I love your sense of style. The items you found are perfect for your home. Happy that you made it home safely from vacation. We are headed to Michigan in the fall. I can't wait to see the fall colors this year. I sure have missed them!
My family vacations at Oak Island several times a year. We love the hometown feel of the island. I always shop the antique and thrift stores on the Island and in Southport. I recognized the Restore as you were shopping. I have found some great, affordable treasures there.
Old copper is thicker, a litle deeper in color, just a bit different from "new" copper which is thinner and has a coating on it sometimes to keep it from tarnishing. So it may be copper but not the old good stuff. Do you use the soap bar/brush on your counter? Is it dish soap? Looks so pretty
Yes, your mama is the best! The water marks on your board are patina. The small pitcher could hold fresh flowers. The kettle has a middle eastern vibe to it. The carrot cake looks delicious. Glad to have you back. A blessed and happy Easter to you and your family! ❤
Good finds! Andrea, what kind of finish does your table have? I want to refinish my table. I would love to keep it bare but hubby says no. Did Mike stain it? What product did he use? Thanks for sharing!
Hi, first time commenting on your channel. What is the color of your corner cabinet? I might want to paint my kitchen cabinets soon! Oh and that living room rug, I love that too!
ABSOLUTELY love the tea pot, ($23 jeez, what a score) you lucky girl! 💕💕💕💕💕 I have some copper but I need to get them re-tinned if you find a place please let me know.
Honestly, your home is so cosy!! Great finds. You are such a great inspiration to me. I hope you find the right artwork for that space in your kitchen. Enjoy your Easter holidays

...I'd try to resurface the inside of the copper kettle. Especially, if you like it as much as it sounds....
Spring is the season of new beginnings 🌹He is Risen!
He has risen indeed
I just knew the board would go home with you!
Can I just say that you are so pretty with the bluest eyes ever! 😄💙 Love your videos and your home xx

The handle on the Kettle is everything.✨😍
I could see the pitcher holding warm syrup for pancakes!

The scalloped pitcher is adorable. I can see it filled with a variety of flowers throughout the seasons. The large cutting board and copper tea kettle have found a great new home. Have a marvelous week.
You could take a pretty frame and then just find a print off the public domain and print it out for that space you mentioned.
Oh my goodness I love Oak Island. My husband cousin live there for years and we would visit.
I loved those small round gold frames , but i couldn't see the price. But so adorable. Love the long bread board. That's my favorite!
@Carol I loved those frames too ! Don’t think I would leave them that same color, but I would’ve bought them all to make a grouping !
All so fun and great finds
