I have been using Oneplus 12 for the last couple of weeks and I gotta say this is one of the best smartphones out there. I am coming from the iPhone 14 Pro and I was surprised to see the fluidity of the software so much so that it feels ahead of the iPhone. The cameras are also really good and on top of that the battery life won't let you down. Overall it's a great package.
I used Pixels for my last couple of phones (6a and 7a) and a Sammy S9 before that. I moved to an iPhone 14 out of curiosity. I had an iPhone 3G when it was released before everyone hopped on the Apple bandwagon. I was supremely disappointed. Fluidity with a 60 refresh rate, lol, is years behind. I think the 12R is the best option out there unless you truly care about cameras. I would be okay with a 24+, 8pro, or 12 if the right deal came along, but if I was buying a phone right now and no deals, I'd go 12R.
Have been using it, the 16/512GB version, for over 2 months, really like it and enjoy using it on a daily basis. Got it as an upgrade for my older OnePlus 10 Pro 8/256. Cameras are much better, as is battery and the performance overall. Just wish it was little smaller and lighter.
6:07 Pro Gamer mode will make the phone throttle faster because it's pushing the phone to the max. If you want a stable/long gaming session, balanced mode is the best option. I think the name make it quite obvious
Just got the 12. Loving it so far. Just got tired of the bulky and heavy S24 Ultra. I think I'll sell my S24 and maybe my Pixel 8 Pro and stick with this for awhile...
Standby and idle are great. Having great cellular standby, it just sips. Overall a fantastic all-rounder for my use case and the cameras are fine. Plus the value proposition, really happy with this one.
@@TheElementSwing better than my Pixel. Not sure if it does. It all depends on location. I've had as high as 650mbs. As long as I have 50mbs or higher I'm happy. I really don't see a reason to have over 100mbs on a cell phone.
I had a pixel 7 pro I suffered so much with this phone, the battery is catastrophic and the signal even worse, I traded-in with the OnePlus 12 and man damn the difference is enormous like day and night. The perfect phone is 1+¹²
Oneplus Open was in my top 3 for mkbhd's camera test, very impressive. I think they need 5g mmwave for NA sales, not a fan of the curved display, and I think they need some solid nice colors (almost bought a pixel 7/8 just for the coral and hazel color).
I love this phone i got it over a week ago and its smooth customizeable battery last forever and never have to worry about being low on batttery stuck in the house bc of hilton hitting fl and after 5+ hrs of continuous use its gone from 100% to 60% and it blows my mind, curved screen maybe isnt the best but the feel and overall fluidity of thenphone is amazing coming back to Android from iphone and this phone absolutely made it worth it
I really love my Oneplus 12. It's fast, UI is smooth as silk, absolutely no bloatware, works like a beast with all the multitasking I do on it, great display with good visibility outdoors, excellent RAM management, superb battery backup that lasts all day and has never let me down. Camera is decent too, works for my purpose. I own the Galaxy s23 ultra as well but use OP 12 as my primary phone as I absolutely love it! Thanks for the video!
I can't believe that my SIM is still in six years old OnePlus 6T 8/128 and I have P40 PRO and A54 along with OP... . Only two cameras on back but main is 20MP and still good pics, Amoled screen, call recording, face unlock works flawlessly(A54 is sooo bad even with better front cam), screen gestures from bottom (they don't have it on new smartphones), still V gesture for torch works extra... ...only BATTERY shows ages...throo night drops for 10-15% ...it's time for another OnePlus beast!!
I traded in my 8t and I am very pleased. The camera and battery life is the only reason I made the switch. My 8t felt plenty fast. Can't wait to see how long this phone will last
Bought it two weeks ago. I absolutely love the phone, the curved screen is awesome, the cameras are great and so is every other spec of this phone. Design feels very premium in the black
if it had a flat screen (glass) and the camera bump design was drastically improved, it would then be king of the android phones and sell loads more units.
It also has an AR Blaster which Samsung stopped including into their phone lines. Which one way its useful its that it can act as a remote for your TV.
Ive had mine since since it came out, preordered it, i lvoe it. Its so smooth, and the fsst charging definitely changes how you charge lol. Never have to worry about a dead phone
My original plan was to hold off until the 13 comes out but the Prime Day sale + 10% off using a Prime credit made me pull the trigger. Can't wait for it to arrive.
I'm also planning to get one in this Prime Days. I js have a doubt. How to avail both mobile exchange and card offers at the same time. Unable to avail card offer when i choose to exchange since the min trans doesn't met the requirements to avail card offer..! Is there any ways that i can do both..?
I agree with this review. I keep wanting to change back to my S23 Ultra and Galaxy watch 6 classic but the battery life and super fast charging speeds for the OP 12 and OP watch 2, keeps me with OnePlus.
Happy to say OnePlus has been smashing updates on the International version since I purchased the Emerald ONEPLUS 12 LAST week, first update yeah then 2 more in a few days between. I think for the money it is a Flagship Killer
I've got one. The official Sandstone case is really nice, grippy. The preapplied screen protector feels fine to me, however it picks up hairs and dust bad. I've got a UV-curing film protector coming that supposedly feels much more glass like after curing so we'll see how that goes. I'm normally more of a no case/protector kind of guy.... But this phone feels like one I can keep for years. Normally I switch every year (or less). I think I might finally settle down lmao.
Using for more than 3 months. Such a beast. True flagship. All the updates are great and will almost resolve any bugs in the previous version. Amazing cameras. Beast of a performer and godzilla battery life. Oneplus 12 🔥
Just a correction, the Oneplus 7 pro was one year ahead most of the competitors in most aspects and was the best camera phone of the year along the Samsung S10 plus and the Huawei P30 pro.
I'm facing a similar issue, I got the phone on Monday so idk if it's the phone that hasn't fully reached the correct battery calibration or some option that I missed but it feels like it's draining battery a lot even when I'm not using it.
Go to settings battery and follow the optimization recommendations . Try yourself which optimization works best for you in mentioning the balance between fluidity performance and power
I owned the 6t, 7T pro and the 8t and tried the 10 pro but returned it. It wasn’t worth it the experience wasn’t great and i believe they peaked with the 7 pro and the cool pop up camera 😮
If you buy any OP phone or pad. I highly suggest you get a case. These devices are extremely slippery. I never used the old oxygen OS. I only know the current oxygen OS and love it. The fact that it is very ios like. But better. Is why i buy it over all other android devices. Ever since Apple removed the sim tray here in the states. Ive stopped buying iPhones. Wont own any phone that doesn't have a sim tray. Charging. I slow charge all the time. Ive never used the carger that comes with any of my OP devices. And so far all the phones still show 100% battery health. And like ipad, OP doesn't have battery health on the pad.
That's something not talked about so much:lack of accessories when choosing 1plus. Not as many choices for cases and screen protectors which most of us use. Curve screens are also a pain for protectors.
Could you please provide me with a comparison of the haptic feedback of the OnePlus 12 with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Google Pixel 8 Pro, and Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max? I would greatly appreciate your insights on the differences and similarities between these devices in terms of their haptic capabilities. Thank you for your assistance.
Definitely best phone you can buy it just does everything to a very high standard unlike other high end phones that all seem to have to many compromises
256GB USA version @ $599 on Amazon Prime Day(s).. 25% off tho some Samsung 24s were 33% off.. I chose the OP 12 to replace my OP 7t from 2019 that had no IP rating tho I am a chef and put that phone through hell where liquids are everywhere ( I even lost it on a street intersection for hours and it was run over by many vehicles and 5yo Gorilla glass front didnt have an issue tho the back glass shattered and the camera glass shattered).
At 6:56 you didn't use a ineplus cable. The animation showed that you weren't vetting maximum speed charging. In general, using the ineolus charger and cable, tou get two internal batteries charging at the same time, doubling the speed of charging. It also converts voltage INSIDE of the charger keeping that conversion heat away from the batteries.
OnePlus 12 is a great phone, and after each updates its just better and smooth. Love the oxygen os, and performance is just wow, battery is also good, and yeah camera is not pixel level, but be honest I really don't care about phone cameras, so not a deal for me!
No idea why you're mentioning that the camera is not Pixel level when Pixels have NOT been the camera King for many years now. 🤣🤣🤣 The correct comparison would be that cameras are not Vivo level.
One can choose OP12 or another device and it's fine. However, I don't think anyone can argue that this particular device, at this price, puts all the other flagship prices into question.
For the price, at the same job level I would need to spend 90% of income to buy in India where else at the same job in US with ppp in consideration I would need just 17% of income to buy it. Salaries in india are so fucked up.
Considering 1+12, I wish developers would take their software more seriously. Since the latest 610\802\810 firmware has a sufficient number of bugs. Just look at the bug that makes it difficult to switch between running applications. This simply became unbearable on the 810 firmware. There’s also this new scroll that just always flies off somewhere.
What also infuriates me is the interaction of shell animations. As a former owner of Google Pixel, I want to quickly interact with the device, and 1+12 forces me to wait until the animation finishes its action and only then touches become available...

you should re-test\correct what you said about cod. you need to be playing in 120 fps to notice the 39 degree throttle you mention. - in mp mode, simply select 'ultra' graphics, then set the fps to '120' below that - play for 10 mins untill the temp reaches 39 exactly - youll then notice the drop to a consistent 50-55 fps indefinitly untill you close the app to cool the phone down i agree with you a drop of 4-5fps is acceptable under load, but this is almost a drop of 70 fps, which is unnacceptable for a gen 3 soc

For 800 you can get an ultra with trade in or contract with extras. Phone for phone at 800 without discounts it will be missing things the ultra has, but that comes down to the needs and understanding, the best phone isn't a subjective thing until you start adding personal opinion, objectively the ultra smokes this phone simply because it will go places this phone can't in several areas, the charging, the animations, all that sounds nice, but when you have a battery that can get two days with great stability packing in a ton more, when you start to dissect it has to stand down, if your not limited to 8 hundred dollars. If you want the best with exclusive features and tech no other phones have, iphone and Samsung lead the pack, let's be serious, and after that there's a real battle. Is it better than every other phone out there, i don't think so, many are cheaper that offer more. Is it worthy to be a serious option, yes but not for me, i need the best and have to cling to advanced capability and innovation until something changes, its the ultra by a landslide.

Wow really the same , had a OnePlus 10 pro , the worst phone I ever used, to the OnePlus 12 , the best phone I ever used
@@priyanshusahu425 why do you say it is the worst phone you ever used?
I have a 10T right now and just bought a 12. Good to know I will probably enjoy it
6:07 Pro Gamer mode will make the phone throttle faster because it's pushing the phone to the max.
And the oneplus isn't that heavy with the 220g? Can't believe it
Standby and idle are great. Having great cellular standby, it just sips. Overall a fantastic all-rounder for my use case and the cameras are fine. Plus the value proposition, really happy with this one.
I'm loving mine. Coming from the 7T, this is amazing.
I still am rocking the 7t😅
Im so using my 100% screen 7 Plus Pro,
I had a 7T for a month after they came out! Loved it, so I'm looking forward to my OP12 arriving later this week!
Still rocking 7t from launch, thinking of upgrading to 12 (since there are insane deals)
I love mine. Had it since US launch. Way better than my pixel 7 pro that I did sell
How is cell reception, I don't think it has 5g mmwave?
@@TheElementSwing better than my Pixel. Not sure if it does. It all depends on location. I've had as high as 650mbs. As long as I have 50mbs or higher I'm happy. I really don't see a reason to have over 100mbs on a cell phone.
I had a pixel 7 pro I suffered so much with this phone, the battery is catastrophic and the signal even worse, I traded-in with the OnePlus 12 and man damn the difference is enormous like day and night. The perfect phone is 1+¹²
@@mohayas2103 even my Bluetooth earbuds and speakers sound better on my 1+ compared to both pixels I owned. Those Samsung chips are garbage.
@@Rgf1998some people game so there are plenty of reasons. Many people stream movies and shows as well. Definitely a reason to need more than 50 Mbps.
Oneplus Open was in my top 3 for mkbhd's camera test, very impressive. I think they need 5g mmwave for NA sales, not a fan of the curved display, and I think they need some solid nice colors (almost bought a pixel 7/8 just for the coral and hazel color).
And it was before 12 🗿🗿🗿
And it was before 12 🗿🗿🗿
I love this phone i got it over a week ago and its smooth customizeable battery last forever and never have to worry about being low on batttery stuck in the house bc of hilton hitting fl and after 5+ hrs of continuous use its gone from 100% to 60% and it blows my mind, curved screen maybe isnt the best but the feel and overall fluidity of thenphone is amazing coming back to Android from iphone and this phone absolutely made it worth it
I really love my Oneplus 12.
I'm still using a OP6 since July 2018. I replaced the battery from ifixit 2 months ago, and I get around 4.30-5h of SOT with normal use.
I traded in my 8t and I am very pleased. The camera and battery life is the only reason I made the switch.
My 8t felt plenty fast. Can't wait to see how long this phone will last
I sold my S24 ULTRA for the OP12. Best decision this year, its a noticeably better phone and camera.
Are you sure ? My one plus 9 pro camera is far better then my one plus 12 camera
I regret buying 12 over 9 pro
Had mine since it came. Just keeps getting better and better with updates and it was already so good to start with, an absolute banger of a phone 💪🏼
Have you tried the android 15 beta 3 in pixel. It has next level smoothness. It has absolutely no jitter and lag. They have finally nailed it.
Knowing how bad Google's QC is, results may vary lol yours might be fine, rest might be a stuttery mess
And ip68 🙄🙄🙄
Hey nice vid, i love my OP12. Mind telling what your icon pack is please?
I'm picking up my OnePlus 12 16 GB RAM variant today after work. Excited to get this bad boy in my hands and to review it for my channel!
It also has an AR Blaster which Samsung stopped including into their phone lines. Which one way its useful its that it can act as a remote for your TV.
Or an Air conditioner that someone refuses to turn down 😂
Ive had mine since since it came out, preordered it, i lvoe it.
Kindly update about your icon pack... looks amazing 👏
Just a correction, the Oneplus 7 pro was one year ahead most of the competitors in most aspects and was the best camera phone of the year along the Samsung S10 plus and the Huawei P30 pro.
On my OnePlus 12. Idle time sips 1% per hour.
Not sure what I've done wrong or others have done right to only lose 2% battery overnight.
@@pratyushkishore9030I've had all my apps set as auto-optimise for a few months.
Thanks for chiming in with suggestions though
@@pratyushkishore9030 yeah, done within first few days of receiving my phone. No difference. Thanks for chiming in though
Great watch! Looking forward to finally getting this
Shame they can't do smaller phones
I recently discarded the factory screen protector as well, screen is so much nicer to the touch, I'll trust gorilla glass to protect itself.
The charger we get is everything, the other flagships are sooo expensive yet they don't give a charger, they should learn something from one plus
Bumping the comments bc it's prime day!🤘🤘
Just paid under $600 USD for the 16gb & 512gb phone, plus a Spigen case and screen protectors!
My current device. Phenomenal
Why do you keep saying ineplus?? It's oneplus!
🤣🤣🤣
The correct comparison would be that cameras are not Vivo level.
One can choose OP12 or another device and it's fine. However, I don't think anyone can argue that this particular device, at this price, puts all the other flagship prices into question.
The curved screen is a pain because of the pain with screen protectors. You have to go UV glue or deal with crappy glass or plastic screen protectors.
Which Icon Pack, are u using? It looks minimalistic, and icons are full round, nice.
Also... Can we please go back to having less rounded display corners. I don't mean curved display, I mean the 4 corner radii.
i'm using Blueo Full AB Glue 3d Curved Silk Tempered Glass for OnePlus 12. then ringke case it actually fits perfectly ahaha
2:36 Whats up with that lag???
The oneplus 12 is definitely an option that is good. Its cheaper too.
Akira?! You chose to show Akiraaaaa???❤❤❤
Savadikaa..!! Happy now??
For the price, at the same job level I would need to spend 90% of income to buy in India where else at the same job in US with ppp in consideration I would need just 17% of income to buy it.
Salaries in india are so fucked up.
I absolutely love my OnePlus 12
OnePlus didn't realize they make the best gaming phone for 2024
Wathing this video from Oneplus 6T. Planning to switch to 12 or wait for 13.
You need to set your video's frame rate to at least 30fps to really show how smooth each phone is.
I need honest opinion. Is one plus quality as good as samsung, apple… also in terms of customer service, regular software updates?
enjoyed your video on the flagship 1 PLUS 12 UK SMARTPHONE.. please can you tell me is this 1 plus 12 5G COMPATIBLE will work on 5g network here in UK. AND ALSO DOES this phone have WIFI CALLING , PHONE CALLS ON WIFI, thanks kindly, paul
curious about the Hasselblad vs Zeiss optics ^^
(OP12/13 vs X100 Ultra )
Only issue is that Green Line that appears on OnePlus devices sooner or later
Still using Op 6T waiting for Op 13.
I still using OnePlus 7pro 😅 second battery and third screen replacement.. I will not update unless the pop up camera comes back 😂
I also. 3rd battery. Inexpensive to replace. T-Mobile tech support is a bad joke. I cannot move on from a 100℅ screen.
I got it for 650€ and it's on the same level with the iPhone 15 pro Max and the Samsung s24 ultra
wtf how?
Which icon pack do you use
Still waiting to see when they coordinate Google Gemini with the OnePlus phone and give us a video on it
I was one of those who bought the OnePlus One I really believed in the product, however the phone/ battery only lasted a year then the phone basically became a paperweight I went back to Apple , I tend to keep my phones 3/4 years and so far only iPhone has offered that, I’ve owned apple/ Samsung/ and pixel , plus the invite system was kinda stupid in my opinion
i will never buy a oneplus phone coz my op 8 pro got 3 green lines and i got no customer service really bad company and bad reliability
OnePlus 8 series got no screen replacement because they stopped manufacturing displays for that device and after the huge green line issues breakdown in many other OnePlus 8,9 series phones. OnePlus made a policy that green line issue will be solved by replacing display free for life time
@@nandhuvardhan3296 lol i didn't got any
Free lifetime replacement ? Did they not offer you ??
@@dotagamer5925 nope
@@dotagamer5925 there's sad no replacement for 8,9 series because they stopped manufacturing displays. And that's where OnePlus downfall started even after it got worse by oxygenOS & colourOS Collab. Now OnePlus is back on track with OnePlus 12 series and free Life replacement policy
From that review I can understand that you are not using OnePlus 12 even for 1 full day.
Is there any green line issue in oneplus 12?
No
I am using one plus 8T phone but now trust issues with this brand no more trust on this brand suddenly green lines came on screen and the customer support team have only excuses rather than free screen replacement.
Had to send it back because the black version is slippery like hell.
Never had a more slippery phone in my hand ever.
Watching this on #oneplus12 glacier white edition ❤❤
Does the 12R have esim option in eu model ?
oneplus has terrible customer service... to spend $700 on a phone with no customer service is just foolish. No matter what this guy says.
I need a one plus 12 flagship one... I have a 12r and I am waiting for a miracle so that I upgrade from one plus 12r to one plus 12... I didn't know that you can have that flagship of last year and mistakenly I used less better cameras.
Its not worth it. Atleast wait for op 13 or 14
When you say that it has the coolest screen, do you compare it with which phone brands? If you are from America I assume that you make a comparison ONLY with samsung, apple and google or
you should re-test\correct what you said about cod. you need to be playing in 120 fps to notice the 39 degree throttle you mention.
- in mp mode, simply select 'ultra' graphics, then set the fps to '120' below that
- play for 10 mins untill the temp reaches 39 exactly
- youll then notice the drop to a consistent 50-55 fps indefinitly untill you close the app to cool the phone down
i agree with you a drop of 4-5fps is acceptable under load, but this is almost a drop of 70 fps, which is unnacceptable for a gen 3 soc
What's the icon pack you're using?
It's on your phone already, OnePlus has its own custom icons .
Under icons , use custom and turn on the adapt to wallpaper in the custom tab.
Nad thing is not all apps support this
Adapt to system colours it's actually
Watching on my 3days old op12,❤❤❤❤❤❤
does it worth to give my s24u for op12??
OnePlus went from being overhyped to undervalued real fast. Glad that their flagship is still great now!
only thing thats keeping me away from oneplus is the software
no raw video shooting on oneplus 12, please add it to the phone thank you
the zoom lens is now shaky after 3 mins of recording, and makes noises when you shake it sideways
OP12 has great trade in deals as well, and more generous than Samsung for sure. Any way you spin it the OP12 is far cheaper, I got mine for less than 600 euros
i don't understand this vibration admiration. I turned them on first time since forever, and I don't see anything wanting me to use them or changing my experience in any way
