@@Rr-j4x No major issues that I've noticed. That wifi indicator just overexaggerates how good your wifi is. As far as security goes, the Chinese government is set up to gain access to Chinese companies' data in 'the interest of national security'. It's set up virtually identically to the Patriot Act in the U.S. However, this data access legally extends only to the data that a given company houses on Chinese servers. Not only does this implicate countless American companies (which utilize Chinese server farms), but it also limits the extent of that data. OnePlus (not Google through Android, nor any of my non-Chinese apps) has access to relatively little data. Also, like I said....I'm poor as hell, so even if a foreign government could access my banking details, why the hell would they, and what would it get them? Nothing ;)
This is by far THE MOST honest review i've ever heard for a phone period. The way you described the details felt all natural and not like that sponsered crap nowadays. I wish you all the best man ! Keep making content like this.
You’re the first reviewer I’ve seen say what I’ve been thinking. If Google was smart, they’d buy the OnePlus design, put their name & OS with features on it, and sell it as a Pixel.
Agreed yet most content creators will give the awards to Apple & Samsung 😢 I couldn't do that this year if I had any kind of conscience or wanting to have credibility throughout my career then again that's just me.
Agreed. I'm a very harsh critic but I instantly subscribed & liked 30 seconds into this review. After watching several reviews on all the flagship phones including Apple's giant fail, I'm happy to say I'll be upgrading to this one plus this week.
its not the best value phone. it's the best flagship of 2024. having galaxy s24 ultra and iphone 15 max i can safely say oneplus is finally back again. the last great oneplus phone was 7 pro.
The 7-pro was a great phone. Even if it did rely heavily on a few gimmicky features like the pop-up camera as selling points. Still, minus the 10T the 8, 9 and 10 series we're strong devices. Unfortunately, they weren't a great value for the prices they were asking. However, last year's 11 and this year's 12 have really proven to be strong offerings for the money. Personally, I love my 11 and 12.
@@xiondFirst curved glass has a far more premium look than a flat screen. In addition, it is also more ergonomic and easier to hold. As far as software support is concerned, 4 years of OS updates with 5 years of security patches is perfect. The 7 years of support that Google and Samsung offers is nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Very few people will keep a device for that length of time.
This is one of the most incisive phone reviews i ever watched, no fancy video animations, no beating around the bush, but straight to be point also with some humor. I love how you highlighted the major points towards the end of a video. Your review was so great and i didnt even realise it was am 18minute video! Great review once again as i eagerly await the oneplus 13, i think my pixel 8 sucks😄

Literally the same, mines arriving Oct 9th and I'm using 7T currently. And there's a deal where you get the OnePlus Watch 2R for free currently (today's Oct 2nd and the deal is still active on the official OnePlus site.) I already have OnePlus Watch 2 so I don't need the 2R, so I'm mailing it to my bro in FL. The value is off the charts for such a competitive flagship in 2024.
amazing video brother, good to see that someone else hasn't been caught up by the hype and remembers the good old days of the Nexus phones/having great value.
the only 6 months later review that actually talks about the 6 months of use instead of full review the phone again. Thanks for the video. I want a small phone too but there is not a phone that doesnt have a issue about battery or UI so im gonna continue with oneplus even though its a huge phone with curved screen
Great video, I absolutely love my OnePlus 12, I purchased a Dexnor armour case that comes with a built in screen protector, amazing case and well worth it keeps my beautiful phone in perfect condition.

@Wildman-Tech great review in pointing everything in detail! Also what you said on the phone about a flat screen and being smaller i think OnePlus should make two models for the persons who like flat screens and the persons who like curved screens. I think they would get more people to buy their phones

Fantastic review.👏🏻👏🏻 I've been a Galaxy user since the S5. been using Oneplus 12 too since first week of january this year. mine is china variant (16gb / 1TB) got it for $775 but flashed to global rom. so far no problem to my 1+12. i'm very satisfied with its performance from camera, UI, gaming, and especially battery performance. before owning 1+12, i used to carry 2 phone (my primary S22 Ultra and a backup phone - Huawei P50 Pro) both can only do 4~5hrs SoT. after i got 1+12 i no longer bring 2 phones. its an all rounder phone it takes good photos than my previous, doesn't heat much when gaming, also screen time on 1+12 can give me an average of 8hrs everyday.
then you’re a heavy user. i had the s24 ultra which always gave me more than 10 hours screen time, but the one plus 12 should give even more than that, 12 hours at least.
you this prolly one of the best tech reviewers ive come across, and ive come across so many when looking for a phone review. this guy stands out and is super based. lookin forward for more
Personally, I chose the silky black. I outfitted it with the OEM aramid carbon fiber case with a rounded black tempered glass camera lens protector. It gives it that futuristic race car look. Sorry, I really wasn't feeling the green kitchen tile motif.🤣 Regardless, it's a great phone and I have zero complaints.
Nice review. Thanks man I think it's worth to mention how magical it is to use the phone under the light rain. And I hope you can heavily throttle test this phone some day. Best
Great video. Can I have the advice please...I can get Oneplus 12 and Google Pixel 8 Pro for the same price. Which one to buy and why, aside the camera features. Thanks!
Camera features aside, I'd suggest the OnePlus. The specs are vastly improved for multitasking, gaming, and longevity. Additionally, the screen and battery are moderately better than the Pixel 8 Pro. Those are both fantastic phones, but if the camera isn't terribly important to you, the OP12 is the better choice in my opinion!
Simplest and most cleanest review that I have ever seen....love from India🇮🇳❤...watching the video in my oneplus 12...the only thing that is bothering me regarding the green line issues and recent motherboard dead issues in oneplus 9 and 10 series after recent updates... hopefully OnePlus will be looking into this more seriously
Great video, I bought a Dexnor armour case for mine OnePlus 12, around $30 AUD and it is a bullet proof case, with a plastic screen protector insert built in, amazing quality and I use a tempered glass camera lens protector on mine also but seriously the Dexnor case is amazing.
I am already using OnePlus 12 and 1st time using OP phone switched from my samsung phone, i literally say that it is beast means best phone in this price range it is very good in each and every manner.
Definitely go for the Mocolo Nano Optics UV Liquid Tempered Glass screen protector. You have to be carefull applying it but once installed, works better than all the simple sticky ones. I've tried multiple brands but with the uv liquid you're in screen fingerprint sensor still works and they also last longer than the sticky ones. It took more than a year for mine to build up dust underneath and than I replaced it.
Your video helped me finally upgrade from my beloved 7 Pro! Thank you for creating this detailed and thorough video. While it is true that Pixel or iPhone might have the better cameras but the price and the every other feature kills the idea to spend more just for the camera.

Excellent video bro I too have had my op 12 since February 4th pre ordered mine and traded in my op 11 so I got the 16 gig variant for 420 bucks. It's the best all around phone imo. I do agree with the mic issues and completely agree the front camera needs to be 4k 60 at least other than that I love the phone so much. The smoothness of the os is unmatched imo. I love the camera modules They are beautiful imo looks super nice. Photo quality is sooo damn good with master mode, overall pointing and shooting is excellent 95 percent of time do wish zooming telephoto was better. I'm spoiled by super vooc charging I've had op phones since the 9 pro 4 years in a row. And I can't tell you how many times my phone would be low randomly and the charging always comes in clutch.
Great review. You've earned yourself a new subscriber. The OP12 is easily the best OP phone ive owned and ive literelly owned all of them including the Open.
it's great to see your channel doing well since this video, even after being 1 month old, got suggested in my feed. I remember watching your GCam video few months ago when you posted it in r/oneplus12 lol
Thanks! OP13 is tipped to release globally by the end of the year, but that should push the OP12 to be even cheaper, and it should honestly last several years unless they bork it with updates.
After using the 8 pro for about ~2 years from launch and experiencing their oxygenOS 11-13, I definitely think they're heading in the right direction in terms of software. I still go back to my 8pro on occasion to play with and I love the changes they've presented with oxygen os 13. So much so that i'm considering going back to one plus just because I want to see it evolve. A few minor caveats I have between oxygen and samsungs oneUI is the password management, oxygen is a bit less seemless than oneUI as it doesn't bring up the password auto-fill when it should. The settings menu can be a bit more extensive, and it could use better power management options. I still much prefer oxygen to oneUI. I also don't find any benefit using a curved glass, it just makes it harder to produce glass screen protectors and gives it the unwanted halo effect.
I loved your review style brother. I bought this 2 days ago as my work phone, a few months ago I got an honor magic 6 Pro to replace my aging Huawei mate 40 pro as my personal phone. 👍👍👌
I got a DuskDevil Hydrogel screen protector off Aliexpress, and It looks way brighter than the stock screen protector Man I wished I got the green version instead of the black one I got my 1+ 12 for a little under 600$ after tax
My last oneplus was the oneplus 8, in the aurora blue color. Love and miss that phone. I regretted trading it in for the S20FE5G. But also heard oneplus was taking and selling data so it’s kind of had me stand off ish from OP phones. But may give it another try because I read they tightened up their practice with data. Don’t need my account charged overseas like I’ve had before. (Not by op just in general).
Also if OnePlus is listening, I need a filter that removes armpit sweat from my selfie videos ASAP. This is very important to me, and I expect it in the next update.

Incredible review! 🎉 Thank you I will buy this in January. ❤
I also don't find any benefit using a curved glass, it just makes it harder to produce glass screen protectors and gives it the unwanted halo effect.
oh man this is my first time watching one of ur vids and i absolutely LOVE IT. ur really calm n shi yk

Very informative, watching on the OnePlus 7 pro. 🔥
I ordered one of these during the Bezos Super Sale Days, got the 256gb version for $599. Thrilled to try it out!
I loved your review style brother. I bought this 2 days ago as my work phone, a few months ago I got an honor magic 6 Pro to replace my aging Huawei mate 40 pro as my personal phone. 👍👍👌
Thanks for the kind words - I'm digging your music!
@@Wildman_Tech thanks bro
Thank you! You are dedicated!
I got a DuskDevil Hydrogel screen protector off Aliexpress, and It looks way brighter than the stock screen protector
Man I wished I got the green version instead of the black one
I got my 1+ 12 for a little under 600$ after tax
Loved this review. Looking forward to see more.
What icon pack and launcher you are using? Looks dope.
Moonshine Icon Pack and it's actually just the stock OnePlus launcher!
Damn this guy is to good, I am subscribing
Really nice and honest review mate. Compared to other top reviewers, you showed respect for the product. ❤🎉
That fast changing is the best part of the phone for me
Bro this a great review, love the tone and humor of it
This review is convincing and honest, this is the phone i should buy
My last oneplus was the oneplus 8, in the aurora blue color. Love and miss that phone. I regretted trading it in for the S20FE5G. But also heard oneplus was taking and selling data so it’s kind of had me stand off ish from OP phones. But may give it another try because I read they tightened up their practice with data. Don’t need my account charged overseas like I’ve had before. (Not by op just in general).
dude your voice is very relaxing i want to sleep 😅❤
You mentioned the one thing that really puts me off another OnePlus and that's the updates. Indian market gets everything months ahead of Europe.
Aye i really enjoyed your review! You got a new subscription from me!
Such a good review, looks honest, thanks!
