      I switched from iPhone after 7 years to pixel 8 in March and I look back once in a while. Mainly because android is still a little buggy, not much like it used to. It's gotten way gotten better I admit. but already I'm having hardware issues with my 8 like the green screen flickering. Luckily T-Mobile is giving me a brand new one this week. Hopefully I won't have anymore issues and I can get back on track

    • @asteriacl
      @asteriacl 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@rodzalez3549Both iPhone and Android will be a little buggy if you are using a new device. The older the device, the more optimized it will be. And for hardware issues, I do have 2 friends using iPhone 13 and they do experience issues. (One of them has a green screen of death and another has random reboots)
      So hardware issues are really dependent on luck and bugs are inevitable on new devices. So long as the company is diligently fixing them, i think it's great.

    When i walk in grocery stores here in the US I find it quite astonishing seeing so many Pixels in people's hands. I very recently had switched to iPhone, and looking past the crappy keyboard, I received 20 spam calls on day 1. All of this was being perfectly blocked by Pixel call screening. The Pixel also knows to send an important unknown caller through. I ran back to the Pixel the next day.

      The thing that couldn’t be ignored is iPhone 16 launched without AI. Pixel 9 series for the most part has a pretty good ecosystem with watch, buds, tablet, various chromebooks. Its camera is industry leading. It’s customisable in a way that IOS still isn’t really. It’s has all the same apps that run well. Battery life is really good. Looks like an iPhone. Yes my MacBook is better then any Chromebook, but also costs the earth compared to HP Chromebook. But here’s the catch, I can do everything on my Chromebook that I do on my MacBook. And it’s my pixel, pixel watch and Chromebook I use by far the most. Pixel 6 was a major shift, I got a 6 pro but it wasn’t my daily. Then I got an 8 pro and it came close but I still prepared my 14 pro max. But now I have the 9 pro xl and I’ve hardly picked up my newer iPhone 15 pro max. Next year I will get the 10 pro XL but I won’t update my iPhone. I’ve no reason to now. Smaller things like RCS, longer update cycle, monthly feature drops, faster advancement with AI. And then there’s the fact I think the pixel watch 3 45mm is actually for my use case a better product then my Apple Watch 10…… which is another product I won’t update.
      Google have finally left people no reason not to use a Pixel. Granted if your invested deeply in Apples ecosystem, then changing out might not be so appealing. And if like many you don’t really care about AI to much and are fine with limited access with an app only, maybe other brands are better. But I personally think that everything that was started with the pixel 6 with its major shift, is all coming together now. Apple is rarely first to the game. But they have to understand that people’s attitudes and trends shift. They’ve had a good run for nearly 20 years but it’s time they really took notice of Pixel. A 20% increase in today’s market is unheard of given how saturated it is. iPhone might be the OG, but so was Nokia, Blackberry and a few others. While I don’t think iPhone is going anywhere soon, its dominance is being challenged. First by Samsung, but now by Google. But Google is the really dangerous one for them as obviously it’s the owner of Android. Make no mistake, we are witnessing in part a shift in trend. As much as I like iPhone, competition is always good.

    The thing about pixel is the prices have fallen drastically for their previous phones that people have bought in huge numbers during sales here in India... I myself got my mother a pixel 7a...
    I got myself a pixel 9 pro xl and it's what I expected of a pixel.. Perfection..!! My fav part, Gemini advance.. I could frame an entire legal mail using Gemini, where as my iPhone 15 pro would reply saying it doesn't work with such content when trying to use ita writing tools ..! Useless AI is on apple... I dont want to draw emojis on AI, I want to use it for more substantial purposes that Apple absolutely fails to deliver...

    I would strongly consider switching from samsung to pixel if the processor and modem were more competitive. I'd also like Pixel to have some of the more power-user features that Samsung does, like Sound Assistant, separate app sound, OHO+, Dex, etc. finally, a built in stylus competitive with the s pen would also help. biggest thing is the chip and modem though, because I do really like the hardware, software, and camera of the pixels

      @ That’s a good question. I really liked the S24U, but ultimately I liked the Pixel Experience more. I realize it’s all subjective, but for me the Pixel really hit everything home. I love the deep integration of the OS features like Call Screen for example, and the simple quality of life additions to the OS like the twisting to switch to the selfie camera. Those are just two little examples, but I appreciated those touches a lot.

    To me what has set google apart this year, and it might sound childish, is the design of the phone. it looks soooo goood that I bought one and I've never spent more than 250euros on a phone. They already had the "best camera" title so it's not the camera what made a difference. 5 years of updates and 2 of security updates helped too, compared to xiaomi and other chinese phone brands that offer 2 3 years top.

    Hopefully this means that they will expand into countries they are not available in at the moment. I'd definitely want to give Pixel phones a try because of their completely clean software without bloatware (except for all the Google apps, of course) but they are currently not sold officially in my country. But I'd also like them to be different than Samsung and Apple by bringing back the charger in the box and also increasing the charging speeds to at least match the competition from China.

    The Pixel 9 pro series is no doubt the best version Google has put out yet and I love mine. What I didn’t love was how much of a pain in the ass it was to purchase without doing it online. We’re all different but when I’m ready for a new phone or anything else pretty much I want the option to go to the nearest store and purchase whatever it is that I want that day. Unfortunately, when it comes to the Pixel your chances of doing that are slim to none. What I’ve found is the carrier stores do not stock the Pixel phones, haven’t been trained at all on how to go about selling the Pixel phones even if they did have one in stock and they say they have pretty much zero incentive to try and sell you a Pixel phone so they’re not going to try. Apple gives these companies added incentive for the employees to keep them in their pockets and always push iPhone sales first above all else. Google is making a great product but need to step up and unload some of that cash pile they have on incentive based marketing, sales employee training on their products and how they actually work and last but not least, make sure your chosen carrier brick and mortar stores actually stock the freaking phones guys.
