I don't know how much denim they have in store, but there is DEF a lot online that I am sure you would love and a few modern 70s inspired I have in mind specifically ... and they come in short. And while watching this vid, the only pair I had any kind of opinion about was the last pair. I liked them on you and the fact that they were a bit different from what we normally see you in.
It's funny...out of all the pairs (before you even mentioned it in the video) I liked the last pair, the relaxed mid rise light wash with slits on the outside ankles of the legs. Your buldge comment was SO funny 🤣.
Yes get the last pair, they looked really cool and vintage! I thought a lot of the first ones you tried looked really good on you. I buy most of my jeans now at the Gap because I find the price is pretty friendly and I just get the waist taken in to get them to fit me right. If you order online they usually always end up being around $50. You're right online is so much better! The store is frustrating.

OMG that question near the end asking “or are you ANTI-denim?” really threw me for a loop. I feel that I was born to wear denim. Life would be sadder without denim. The last pair was super cute on you and Ai hope you can go back online and order it in the short length so you can keep the cool side slit feature. At almost 4’11 the vast majority of my jeans are cut and frayed to the length I need. Or purchased in crop length so they will be full length for me! 🙂 I’m sure you can relate, Lisa ❤️

I’ve mentioned this before, starting at 13 I had to learn to alter my jeans! I had a 22” waist and 35”hips. I’m also short so hemming them was a must! Even with the platform shoes of my 1973 style!
I didn't wear jeans from 2nd grade till the summer before my freshman year of high school. I was chubby as a kid and teen and just like you said no jeans fit right and were uncomfortable. I rarely wear them now but I have found some that fit nice for the occasions when I do.
I like Democracy jeans with their super stretchy waists 😂 I used to be fine with stiff, skin tight jeans but as I've gotten older and dealt with weight fluctuations and stomach problems I'm just over squeezing into tight clothes
I loveeeee buying demin from the Gap Outlets, but their quality is absolutely worth it regardless if you can find them on sale at the reg stores. I def have to go with the short length always, and not all the cuts are created equal. the stretchy curvy styles are usually more forgiving lol.
I have a horrible time with gap jeans. That said, I love that they have free online returns. I buy so much more from them as a result (and old navy). You should try the short in those jeans and see! I actually love universal thread jeans. Stretch and so comfortable. Of course, I’ll never let go of my skinny, soft jeans/leggings. ☺️
I wish stores had some sort of system where I could put something on that shows I don’t want help/to be approached/told the specials a million times lol. Usually I just have my headphones in and most associates take the hint lol

Buckle is the only place that I can find denim that fits my body right. The brands Miss Me, buckle black, and BKE. Those three brands are amazing. I’ve been really into skinny and straight styles, but I just purchased bootcut and flare and tailored bootcut.

I bought a pair of flare jeans in petite ( I’m 5’3 ) and honestly they are definitely meant for someone at least a foot taller than me lol. I need to find a cute pair asap. Omg do you remember the skirt built into legging and shorts lol. I was so cool with my skirt pants my platform sneakers like what the spice girls wore lol 😂 I’d wear it all again right now I’m so stuck in the 90s
I know this probably doesn't matter *that* much, but if you're ever at Gap, BR, Old Navy trying to find the exact item you see in store online, the product ID is on the hangtag (the first 6 digits before the dashes, not the barcode number if that makes sense) and you can type that into the search online to pull the exact item! It's also on a tiny tag behind the regular tag, but that may be harder to find if you're not familiar with it.
Ooh also w/ those girlfriend jeans, I think it's just that the rise is too long for you, so the zipper is making it stick out. That happens to me sometimes. Either size down or look for petite size to shorten the rise a bit. obviously doesn't matter if you didn't like the jeans anyway, but still. and YES that last pair was so cute!
I love shopping. I cannot understand why it depresses some people. It’s like a quest. It baffles me why people blame their bodies and not the clothes. I loathe skinny jeans, so cannot help you there, but i thought all jeans looked good on you, it simply depends on what you want your personal style to be.
as a short overweight person who lived through the low rise flare jeans trend in middle school/high school, i will NEVER go back! High waisted skinny jeans are my safe haven. These kids will learn how shitty it is to have the bottom of your jeans torn up and muddy because they drag on the ground and get gross. i dont care if i sound like an old annoying millennial, im sticking with my high waisted skinny jeans/jeggings.

The thing about jeans is that if they fit perfect in the legs, they are too tight on the waist. And if I size up, the legs are too baggy and don't look good. There's no in between

City chic have sizes 12-28 I think but that’s in Australian sizes but I love love love their jeans
