As a fellow curvy, not that typical skinny legs girlie, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this video and how confident it makes me feel- seeing you look so confident! I hateeee shopping for jeans bc I feel it targets all my insecurities, but this video gave me the courage to try and find a pair that fits me 😢 thank you!!!!!!❤
Get your jeans and “almost perfect” clothing tailored. This is what I’ve learnt in my early 30s. And yes, it’s worth the investment if you find a good tailor.
Love the video. All my Levi’s after I wore them a few times they kind of shaped to my body so if they are just a little snug just break them in and they will mold to your body!
One thing I appreciate the most is when TH-camrs mentions their height and weight when trying clothes on for reference. I’m just 5’2 and it’s always a challenge to find the right length without having to spend extra on a tailor.
Its just so much more helpful to share so you really get a good idea of the fit! Also, just comparing how it fit me vs the model online is so different sometimes! 🤗 30in inseem is probably the max i can get away with w/o cuffing! but i tend to stick to 28-29in inseems
It's kind of useful, but even then it doesn't necessary mean it's the same for you. It depends on your ratio of leg to torso, and other things (such as a wider butt etc) can affect the length too.
It is a good idea that you showed the advertised pic w/model because we can see the difference some of the jeans look on you vs the model. Btw, imo curvy gals need stretch and I don't like the feel of stiff jeans and the look of them doesn't Wow me to put up with the stiff discomfort. @@rodriguezsarah
i for sure had to keep the flares because they fit soo nicely! and they had more stretch than the others which i loved! i'll have to see how the wedgie straight pair i kept stretches out some!
The flare ones are amazing, they really enchances the figure, but in my experience those rip on the innerthighs fast , I usually struggle cause Im a big legs girl.
@@rodriguezsarahno they will not stretch :) i have the same issue, i kept them and i regret it. Very uncomfortable… I recently got a high rise wide leg from Marks&Spencer which I absolutely love… looks nice, thick fabric with a small % elastane and it does not restrict movement. Great review
@@galat1a You are correct. They don't stretch smh. BUT if you wet them a little and walk around in them they will stretch. I have two pairs I had to stretch like that. I paid to much money not to wear them lol
Oh my gosh what a fun haul! The Rib Cage Ankle Straight look great on you, what color are you going to swap em out for? I think the Low Pro are also really nice on you too! I agree with you, the Wedgie Straight could be just a tad longer so they don't cut you off at the ankle, but it could be tricky if the next size up becomes too large in the thigh or waist. The 726 flare are a really cool millennial fashion throwback! I hope this helps, but it's just my two cents. Thanks for sharing, keep on the uploads! ❤
Thank you!!!! No, i absolutely appreciate you commenting because it was helpful lol. I think I want a more medium wash but i haven't seen any online that i am in LOVE with...so i'm gonna wait a lil and see if they release some more colors. The 726 flares are so CUTE!!!! I did end up keeping those lol. cant wait to style em :) 🫶🏼
Helpful tip to anyone buying 501 originals and want a fitted look--- They will stretch. You MUST size down. It will take a while to break in... But there's a trick to speed up the process!!! Put them take a spray bottle of water. Spray your jeans where you want them to stretch out to be roomier--- AKA the butt or the hips or the thighs. Keep them in until they are dry. Do this at home so you can do house things for a few hours. Repeat as needed. This will stretch out the places that you need to have more room without having to size up which will leave you with a waist gap.
Late to comment but definitely size down in Levi’s. I bought the smallest Ribcage wide leg I could possibly squeeze into. They HURT when I first wore them sitting at dinner. I was starting to doubt myself but so glad I didn’t size up. Now after a month they are perfect. You can speed up the process by dampening the tight spots and wearing them till they dry and conform to your shape
I loved the video! The 701s looked so good on you! However, those are shrink-to-fit jeans so they have never been washed. So don't size up UNLESS you're going to shink them! They typically shrink about an inch in the waist and 2 inches in length :) PS. I was a Lead Denim Stylist at Levis in NYC, so I'm a denim nerd! lol, great review keep it coming!!
omg!!! how interesting!!!! i wish they would put more specific info like this on the product pages so we know what we're getting ourselves into lol. i am starting to be a denim nerd too, so please feel free to share any other helpful tips!! 🤗♥️✨ thank you for watching
A tip for anyone getting the lightweight 501 90s, they stretch out quite a bit so definitely size down! If they feel a bit too snug when you first buy, they'll be perfect!!
Yeah, you! You are the reason I just ordered the 726 flare jeans. Really hoping one of the two sizes I got on sale fit me nicely, but I'm a bit pessimistic because of the reviews 😅 However full price is indeed too steep
@@umchileanywaysso Hi there! It's probably better if I give more background: I'm 160cm, usual waist is 26 inches but can vary and genetically I have a small waist in comparison to my thighs/legs in general. In the past I wanted Levi's shorts and found that I always had a waist gap with my thighs being cut in. The two sizes I ordered on sale were 26*30 and 25*30. The material composition is not the best: 62% cotton, 28% viscose, 8% elastomultiester and 2% elastane. It feels nice to the touch though (softer instead of usual denim feel) and due to the stretch factor I can pull up and close both. 26 gives me a slight waist gap, but is easier to put on. Standing they look almost the same, with the 25 having less of a gap. Sitting makes the 25 fly cover flip and it looks worse on the legs. Length-wise a person 5cm taller than me could wear the 30 as well :) In general they look really nice and are comfortable, I think the larger size is a keep and will keep me company in autumn/winter or rainy days ☺️
Thank you! I'm finally convinced to buy my first Levi's and just yesterday got delivered 501 that when tried in the shop fit perfect, but now seem size too small. Might actually go back to shop and try 3 different ones that you showed. ❤
I have 2 pairs of ribcage in different colors, they fit snugly in a good way when I first tried them on but once I started wearing them, they loosened up everywhere within a few hours and they became baggy and I needed to wear a belt (now I think I should have sized down…). If you get the stretchy Levi’s jeans (the ones that are less than 100% cotton), my advice is not to size up if it is just a bit tight.
I’m always tailoring my jeans, by length and manipulating the leg. Take the waist band off and ‘nipping’ the fabric in, then shorten your waist band and re-attach.
As a small girl, i hate how not size inclusive levis are. Yeah sure they have short lengths but they are DIFFICULT to find. I could NEVER find the length and the size for me. I've been to the big levi's store in NYC, tried to look online, and i could never find it. Btw all of them look great on you! You have the body shape for jeans, unlike me :')
TELL ME WHY THE SHORTER INSEAMS ARE ALWAYS SOLD OUT?!?!?!?! people keep saying tailor is the move to get the perfect fit, but buying jeans off the rack is just so convenient! also thank you tee hee ♥️
Can u tell me fabric composition of this jeans ?? I purchased Levi's ribcage straight jeans , it has 76% cotton, 23% polyester, 1 % elastane. I feel it has knee bulge while wearing coz of stretchable material.
I love Levi's. I love their fit, i love their look, and i love their durability. It's better than anything else i know. The only thing that entices me more than Levi's (among what i know) are old school plain japanese Denim. That's it.
Have you tried any Zara jeans? I personally think I really need to buy myself some jeans that fit. I'm not big but ive got big legs and a small waist. So i have the falling down but not too big problem with my pants. After having a baby I've gotten back to nearly the pre pregnancy weight but nothing fits correctly. It is helpful to watch videos like this because i really didn't realise how much styles affect size. However the only brand I know I have near me is Zara. We have a few others but I think they might not exist in the states.
I had the same problem with 501 original! supposedly W29 was ok but a bit snug on thigh and the waist is huuggee. so i sized up and feel comfortable on thigh and i get the waist tailored. HOWEVER, after many washes and wear, I find the thigh starts to expand (??) and feels so much fabric hanging on my butt bcos i sized down a lot on the waist, or else there would be so much gap. then I read comments here saying they will expand eventually :(( I wish I pick 28 or 29. ugh now it looks ridiculous on me and the urge to buy a new pair is so high. but the jeans isn't cheap too so :"((
Yes a lot of people said they would stretch but it’s so hard to trust it will when you buy em bc if it doesn’t you can’t return!!! Perhaps you can resell them on Depop or poshmark to help fund a new pair? 🤗
The original denims are meant to go on a bit tight as they mould to your body once you break them in. It’s worth the effort to break in your Levi’s in general
yes, looked at the fabric and most of them i know where gonna be no to little stretch. i hear they do tend to stretch out so i'll keep that in mind in the future 🤗
get levis lvc shrink to fit so the waist will shrink and the other parts will stretch out with wear but u cannot get the thigh tight or it might be too tight after wash
Just want to comment on how much you suit a fringe (bangs in American). Fits your face perfectly and gives you such a fresh look. From someone who can’t wear a fringe at all so live with perpetual fringe jealousy.
Very nice! I think we have the same body type.. would like to have your measurements before ordering. Your height and maybe waist size etc. This video is very much appreciated thanks!
Have you ever tried thrifting a men's pair of Levis? I own several mens pairs and they honestly fit me way better than women's do. Just an idea if you haven't found your perfect pair of Levis in this haul.
@@rodriguezsarah You would want to go by waist and hip. I like a relaxed fit so my favorite are 550s. I also have a pair of 569. I recently got a pair of 517 which are not as relaxed. Most of my pairs are vintage. I started by finding a few pairs at thrift stores, then once I knew my sizing I can now order online like on Poshmark. Some have been a little baggier or tighter due to how they have been worn in by the prior owner.
@@rodriguezsarah I found out by watching another TH-cam channel A Vintage Splendor. She has like 50 pairs of vintage jeans, mostly Levi’s. With vintage you may be a few sizes because vintage runs smaller depending on how old it is. I can wear a 34 (on the tight side) 36 & 38.
The flares looked amazing on you…and most of the mid rise as well. I don’t know what it is about high and super high rise but I think they give everyone a weird crease that almost looks “camel-toeish” but not. I am always focused on the weird crease at crotch level so dislike most high rise..some people size up to try to help the jeans sit better but they just end up looking sloppy
I honestly believe the sizing of levis is just completely off. Either the waist is too big or the hips too small.. idk who does their sizing but its terrible. I tried a lot of their jeans and i always end up not finding anything worth the money.
Whoops! Forgot to put it in the description but I ended up keeping the wedgie straight, 501 90s, and the flares! Gonna try and get a diff wash of the ribcage ankles if I see any I like come online.
Yes people do tailor their jeans. If you look at the waist of vintage jeans you'll start to see a good amount of the true vinge ones have a dart on each side of the back belt loops, those are not original they are from alterations after being bought. Back in the day it was expected that you would make adjustments after purchase and better stores even offered that service. Too bad we don't have that much today. The fabric on the 501 originals will literally form to your body with wear. If your impatient and don't want to wait as long you can do the very uncomfortable process or putting them on wet and letting them dry while on but that sucks. After that tho they fit like painted on then kinda just get softer with every wash. Edit to say you look fantastic in that second pair of high rise wedgies.
thanks for sharing!!! do you know if the material makeup of vintage jeans are the same as the ones being made today? i've never tried vintage ones, but am eager to find a pair now! :)

With my Levis I found once they're worn in they do stretch around the hips and butt just enough
i kept the wedgie straight and have noticed they gave a lil bit! :)
still gotta get some of the levi cutoff overalls shorts!
On my list! 😊🫶🏼
Very helpful, just for reference how tall are you?
5'1 :)
Did you look at the fabric? Those are often different too
yes, looked at the fabric and most of them i know where gonna be no to little stretch. i hear they do tend to stretch out so i'll keep that in mind in the future 🤗
Thank you! What are your waist and hips measurements?
27in waist and 37in hip!
get levis lvc shrink to fit so the waist will shrink and the other parts will stretch out with wear but u cannot get the thigh tight or it might be too tight after wash
good to know, thank you!!! 🤗
Levis offers tailoring at some stores i believe
i just saw that on tiktok! ill have to look it up :)
Will the jeans expand after wash
We will find out! A few people said they will stretch a bit and mold to your body over time 😊
hey you!
501 original jeans good nice fit
I like flare jeans
thank you!!!
Bro my waist is 33inch
Nd hips is 41 which one should i buy
501 90s could be a nice fit! they are slightly roomier in the hips and are one of the most popular styles.
That was a very helpful video for me cause i wanted to buy my first levis jeans❤ thanks, my favorite jeans for you was the flare😊
Glad it was helpful! Thank you! 🩵
Just want to comment on how much you suit a fringe (bangs in American). Fits your face perfectly and gives you such a fresh look. From someone who can’t wear a fringe at all so live with perpetual fringe jealousy.
OMG THANK YOU!!!!!! this is my sign to keep em, i was considering growing them out lol ♥️

Very nice! I think we have the same body type.. would like to have your measurements before ordering. Your height and maybe waist size etc. This video is very much appreciated thanks!
I'm 5'1, 26/27 inch waist, 37 inch hips. Hope that helps 🤗🩵
great video, they all look cute on you!
Thank you so much!! 😊
Rib cage ⭐️
The 501 Originals are my favorite. Wedgie bootcut too.
What’s your height?
I’m 5’1 :)
Wow - girl - love the way you move 😉 the denims and what's in them😊
Thanks, girl - great video.
Thanks for watching! ☺️💖
Have you ever tried thrifting a men's pair of Levis? I own several mens pairs and they honestly fit me way better than women's do. Just an idea if you haven't found your perfect pair of Levis in this haul.
I’m gonna have to try that!!! Any tips of sizing? Should I go by my waist size or hip size? Also what style do you go for?! 😊🫶🏼
@@juliastern6000 thank you so much for this!!! it’s so helpful!!! i always heard vintage was the way to go but don’t know where to start. 😊🫶🏼
I am always focused on the weird crease at crotch level so dislike most high rise..some people size up to try to help the jeans sit better but they just end up looking sloppy
thanks! i definitely kept the flares!!! they are just so cute!!! and i agree with you about sizing up just ends up looking sloppy. 🤗
Ribcage ankle straight look best on you.
Did you keep any? If so, which ones?
Wedgie straight and 726 flares :)
I honestly believe the sizing of levis is just completely off. Either the waist is too big or the hips too small.. idk who does their sizing but its terrible. I tried a lot of their jeans and i always end up not finding anything worth the money.
I agree that the sizing is never consistent!!! A lot of people swear by vintage mens levi's so gonna try those out next lol
@@rodriguezsarah yeah I should try those too!! Also heard old levis are better quality!!
Best: WEDGIE STRAIGHT CALLING ALL BLUES
Great video. Which ones did you keep?
Whoops! Forgot to put it in the description but I ended up keeping the wedgie straight, 501 90s, and the flares! Gonna try and get a diff wash of the ribcage ankles if I see any I like come online.
Which ones did you keep? Wedgie and Ribcage I'm guessing?
wedgie and the flares! :)
@@rodriguezsarah nice! I just purchased the wedgie! 😁
You look stunning in each pair.. 😄
thank you!!!! 🫶🏼
Your height please reply I'm just 5'2
im 5'1! :)
