Congratulations! George Allan had the Special Team introduced before Super Bowm VII, and they scored the Redskins only points against the only undefeated team in NFL SB history..
When I saw the Browns punt, the first thing I said was "I can't wait to see this on Issac Punts". Never been that hype for a punt ever. It was literally perfect, at the perfect moment. And they cashed it in! *chefs kiss* Without this channel I wouldn't have been able to truly appreciate the absolute backspin banana bomb, Pitching wedge approach shot on a Par 3, game winning punt.
It's because safety kicks are kicked like punts, and they wanted to get the ball back. But I don't think there is much one can do other than punt it up like they did and hope for a drop because they can call for a fair catch. This would not be a thing in a regular punting situation. In a regular punting situation, the receiving team would not have to attempt to catch the ball, so the ball would likely just be downed close to the line of scrimmage.
@@PriestMelchizedek no they can be kicked in any manner a team wants they chose to kick it via punt because you can't use a tee on a non kick off plus the added air time I recall a game from 2009 where redskins tried to kick an onside a kick after safety by having a teammate hold the ball in the manner of FG attempt
That corey bojorquez punt was seriously the best I've ever seen. especially considering the situation and what happened afterwards. I disagreed with the decision to punt it after throwing the ball incomplete inexplicably when they could've run it and kicked a field goal. But that punt changed my mind lol. Kevin Stefanski is a two-time COTY for a reason
@@thatonewriter8043 And ironically, he wasn't on the field lmao, he was in his basement quarantining. But hey, 11 wins with 5 different qbs is pretty impressive considering guys like PJ fucking Walker beat teams like the 49ers. If you look at the Jets last season, they had a very similar team to the browns and lost their starter early in the season. And went on to be mediocre and do nothing. The difference there is coaching.
@@thatonewriter8043dude, in just 4 years he twice led the Browns to 11 win seasons who last had a winning record in 2007! If that's overrated, who isn't?
My 10 year old did not understand y i got so excited over that brpwns punt....i told him that was prolly the best puntbi have ever seen, ive never seen a ball bounce on the 1 yard then go directly out of bounds.....amazing bounce
Usually when they do that they are damn close to the out line (within the hash mark). The fact that the ball almost goes perfectly sideways from 6' away is pretty sweet.
When I was a teen I always wished punters got more respect seems like they're starting to 20 years later. In madden fantasy draft i always drafted a punter by round 4.
Vikings would’ve have a punt downed on the 1yard line but Dallas turner stepped into the end zone before securing it. Could’ve been goated punting week 2
onside punt?? I must admit, I watch a decent-ish amount of football but I don't know all the rules. I have no idea how that onside punt works. are you also able to kick the ball like that to start it off after a touchdown/safety/field goal?
Safety kicks have always been live balls. They're kickoffs, just from the 20 and with it being a punt instead of teed off. This just never comes up because of situation. Safeties usually happen to bad teams, who probably wouldn't be down by only one possession, and even if they are, it's typically only very late in the game that onside attempts even come up as a reasonable strategy (unless you're Sean Payton). Most of the time, the reminder that safety punts are live balls happens when the receiving team just lets it go like a normal punt.
@@thatonewriter8043 With the rules imported from the XFL this year, are all free kicks handled the same way? That is, did they have to declare an onside attempt after the safety, and otherwise they'd have to line up similarly as for a kickoff, just 15 yards closer to their goal line, and have to kick deep?

Insane punt. This channel has opened my eyes to the joys of good special teams play.

I was watching this game live and as soon as he hit that last punt I knew instantly that you would be doing a video on it.
Have you seen Rekkow's punt who plays for Cincinnati, I believe it was the previous week. 80 yards.... no rolling!
I was at the game. That punt was decisive.
I agree!
I will never look at punts the same 😆
Thanks for another great punting roundup! Man these are great!

I saw that and thought: Isaac Punts. Bounce at 1, off at 2, beauty.
I was listening to this game on the radio and even just listening it was an awesome series of events.
I constantly forget that no one else around me knows the importance of special teams. These punts are insane. And yes, entirely game changing
Wait, an onside punt is a thing? I've never heard of that play before.
yes you can onside punt on a safety kick

Punt god just another secret weapon for the Chiefs
Was happy that punt made the roundup. Was hoping I'd see it here. Damn good team effort.
I love the attention to detail in special teams
This is my new favorite FB YT channel by a lot!
Love this channel. Keep it up
I would get up and scream at the TV if I saw that live.
That is perfect.

Glad it was by my brownies 🟠⚪️🟤🐶🐶🐶
I'm a Bills fan. He used to punt for us
Damn it!!!

And on the other end of the spectrum, Stout's punt for the Ravens is how you _lose_ a game with a punt.
That punt was the rams' best play of the year so far.
I don't recall having ever seen an onside punt before. How cool is that?
I love that one of the most rewound parts of this video are the hot cheerleaders guys are simpin on

“Banana ball” 💀

I hate the Browns, but I have to appreciate a gorgeous punt when I see one.
Nice celeste music
wait wait wait - An onside punt?
Where’s the Kai’imi fairbairn video?
Yessssssss!
Crazy how the best player on the Panthers is the punter
The Browns almost lost one Hail Mary tho 😂
Jags cheerleaders need serious work.
I disagree, they represent Florida perfectly.
Why was his hat on the ground?
One of the punting gunners went out of bounds. By rule they cannot to the first to touch a live ball.
Why is the refs hat on the ground before the ball lands on the 1?

"con chord" do people seriously pronounce it this way? its CON-CURD like Concord (conquered). what ,,,,? pick a name people pronounce right
Horrible spotting by the refs against the Bengals
Work on your narration. Too fast and just cringy. Slow it down and your points will be better understood.
