I honestly think that EA just made Sims 4 an "Alternate Timeline" because A. They're too lazy to actually poke at each character B. The inconsistencies from former games C. They're trying to "start fresh"

Most of the sims families that they carried over were from Sims 3 Store neighbourhoods. I don't really see TS4 as too different, they kind of messed everything up with TS3
The Sims 4 exists in an "alternate universe," separate from the timeline established in The Sims, The Sims 2, and The Sims 3. The alternate universe was created to allow the developers of The Sims 4 more creative control over the Sims and families that appear in the game. EA should re-release the Sims 1, and 2. They will make alot of money because alot of People want to play them both. I'd say $30-40 is a good price range. Enough to generate profit, and cheap enough that people won't think they're being scammed. And this is for the Game and all its Expansions.
The ideal sims 5 would have the graphics of 4, the customization and worldbuilding mechanics of 3, and the relationship mechanics, memories and lore of 2.

I always felt so bad for the Broke family so I’d often find Brandi a rich husband (in the most recent case, she married Darren Dreamer just after he had his artistic breakthrough and was rich), Dustin turns around and goes to college, and Beau even became Mayor of Pleasantview. The Brokes are definitely some of my favorites, and have taken over my Pleasantview with all their children!
With "the baby isn't Skip's", there's also evidence in Brandi's memories - Skip died before Beau was born, so the new baby was conceived after he died. The game still recognises the new baby as Skip's, though 🤔

It's beyond wild at Caillou's house. Edit: this wasn't clear before but the marriages/pregnancies are not my doing, it's one of my mods (potentially Slice of Life?)

Kiki Pumpkins my game is way weirder I moved Evie Delgato and Don Lothario into a huge hole using the terrain tools cuz I hated them. Then, I was seeing who died first. Evie did. After the Grim Reaper came, I made him marry Don and they had a child together. Since I have extreme violence and I didn’t turn off autonomous killing, I saw their daughter stabbing a random person in San Myshuno. Also the Grim Reaper twerks for money on the streets and is a style influencer. Every once in awhile, Don laughs at Evies grave and summons her to torment her. My iPad is gonna die so I’m gonna leave this here bai

Wow, thank you for these videos!! I've been playing The Sims since the beginning as well, and it's crazy to hear all of the detailed stories about the families. The storytelling aspect in The Sims 2 was outstanding, I wish EA would bring that back to The Sims 4.

The whole pool accident and theory of Brandy being the killer is actually a plotline in The Sims 2 for psp. You have a mission to talk to a sim named Hazel and see if she's guilty of killing her husband which I think you find pieces of his clothes in the pool drain or something. I can't remember since it's been so long since I played it. I think we do find out she did

I always played the Broke family...made the boys work hard at school and university to get Brandy out of that caravan.
I've always tried to do that, but by the time the boys graduated and get money , her mother was already dead :( (let's talk about sad stories)
I cheated and used mothetlode a couple times and gave them a nice house

Do Loki and Circe Beaker! In my game, I had realised that Loki's sister is Erin Singles, and she ends up falling in love with Nervous and rescuing him from the torture, but never talks to her brother Loki again.
The whole pool accident and theory of Brandy being the killer is actually a plotline in The Sims 2 for psp. You have a mission to talk to a sim named Hazel and see if she's guilty of killing her husband which I think you find pieces of his clothes in the pool drain or something. I can't remember since it's been so long since I played it. I think we do find out she did

Yeah I loved playing with the brokes but I think the mom which is called babsi in the German version was my favorite out of them. Looking forward to the Caliente family because it is the family I've played with the most!

I had that thought as well - they even look somewhat similar - but why are their last name not the same? sure, sims 4 is set on an alternate timeline, but changing names just doesn't make much sense (at first I thought that she might have taken her husbands name, but then I remembered she's married to thorne bailey and did not take his last name)
Nikki She could’ve legally change her name, especially since she was chasing fame. A lot of celebrities do that--Katy Perry, for example.
