If you or a loved one has to deal with ongoing treatment and feel like you continue to encounter only bad news, Justine's voice may be especially impactful. Despite having to go through more treatments after the metastasis of her cancer, she has held firmly onto trying to look at silver linings - but only after giving herself space to feel upset. Check out her three-video series:
Video 1: How I Got Diagnosed
    Video 2:
    - Going Through Multiple Treatments (Chemoradiation, surgeries, chemotherapy (oxaliplatin & FOLFOX), targeted radiation therapy or SBRT, ablation, Y90, and more chemo)
    - Dealing with Ileostomy Bag
Video 3: Navigating Life After a Cancer Diagnosis

I hate when young people get very ill. You are a brave young woman and you will beat this.

A friend of mine was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer 3 years ago. They gave her a 2% chance of making it to 5 years, and she has no signs of cancer. Doctors are amazed.

My name is Christopher and I'm from central Pennsylvania PA, I am a physician and I also was just diagnosed with a solitary plasmacytoma. This type or cancer needs to be distinguished from Multiple Myeloma. The incidence of solitary plasmacytoma in the US is about 450 per year. However, the diagnosis of multiple myeloma in my age group is also extraordinarily rare. My initial discovery was rather unremarkable but because I was trained in knowing what kind of findings are abnormal, I continued to investigate. I empathize with this patient's story and would like to share mine.

As a physician on the other side, how do we as patients get our doctors to listen to us? I tell my dr about all my symptoms with the lump on my collarbone and night sweats, then I heard her talking crap about me outside the exam room. Juat curious with you on the other side how we approach our docs to help us and not dismiss us? Hope all is well and I hope you are thriving!!!

PLEASE ask each patient "Why do you think you got cancer?" I am sure each patient has a feeling as to why they got cancer. My guess is very few patients will routinely answer, "Genetics" even though that is what most doctors believe.
