If you or a loved one has to deal with ongoing treatment and feel like you continue to encounter only bad news, Justine's voice may be especially impactful. Despite having to go through more treatments after the metastasis of her cancer, she has held firmly onto trying to look at silver linings - but only after giving herself space to feel upset. Check out her three-video series:
Video 1: How I Got Diagnosed
    Video 2:
    - Going Through Multiple Treatments (Chemoradiation, surgeries, chemotherapy (oxaliplatin & FOLFOX), targeted radiation therapy or SBRT, ablation, Y90, and more chemo)
    - Dealing with Ileostomy Bag
Video 3: Navigating Life After a Cancer Diagnosis

What an amazing 🤩 young woman. I am completely humbled. I sent this to my son who suffers from a mental illness and this shows him how you can live with severe illness and still function. I am stunned at her attitude. She is an outstanding human being. Love ❤️ from Toronto 💕💕

When you can't have anyone around. Can a person sit outside a window and talk to them on a cell phone? This way, you're really not alone?

The ileostomy was the biggest surprise for me as far as the maintenance. We had one ostomy nurse for a very large area and she retired right after my colon resection. I didn’t think of social media for help at the time but my husband paid attention the one and only time the ostomy nurse came by to help. Stomach acid would get on the skin around the stoma and would eat it up so it stayed sore all the time. Using a big cup container was convenient to use when emptying the bag. The waste from the ileum is very different from the fecal matter that is in a colostomy bag. Dealing with the ileostomy was traumatic and hard to figure out what clothes to wear, plus it made churning noises all the time so I was cautious about going into public. I was diagnosed with metastatic stage 4 colorectal cancer which had spread to my liver and lymph nodes. I was not a candidate for an ablation because the cancer in my liver was too close to the portal vein, so the whole right lobe of my liver had to be removed along with the gallbladder and 27 lymph nodes. I did get a brand new right liver lobe and my ileostomy was reversed so I was happy. After chemo, 30 doses of radiation numerous surgeries I survived advanced stage colorectal cancer and so can this beautiful, strong person. It’s a tough journey but it can be done. I’ve been NED from stage 4 colorectal almost 8 years now.

I had stage 4 sigmoid CA. 15 cycles of Xeloda. No other treatments. Colostomy. Cancer invaded my bladder thus stage 4. It's been 17 months. I'm an RN wasn't too bad . Set up an arm on my bed with a 6" square mirror. DVT in January was down the whole leg. No treatment because my bladder bleeding. Still very weak. My wife left me when she found out I had CA.
My advice... skip the doctors recommendations and instead buy the book
" how not to die". A UCLA CANCER MD TOLD me to read it. Lots of info. 600 pages. Written by an MD

    Hi Stephanie...
Just came across your channel and all of these inspiring stories.
I'd love to talk with you somehow. I do not know if you also talk to people about their stories or just do these videos.
I too, have a story! I have Stage 4 Metatastatic Melanoma. Back in Sept of 2019 I was diagnosed and told I had ONE month to live by an emergency brain surgeon! Rushed to hospital after going unconscious awoke in ICU news I from major brain surgery, tumor removed size of walnut. My whole life changed quickly. Very LONG story! Doctors are amazed I'm Still HERE fighting one day at a time.
NOW stable, but disabled from treatment and the side effects. I had some questions. Not great with typing, due to serious Nueropathy in hands
Would love to speak with you!
    Love and light
    Take care
