Imagine all the resealed stuff inside of people's "sealed" collection
I bought directly from distributor my sealed is 10000% legitimate. But yea there are so many oblivious people who buy “good deals” off Facebook.
I worry about that a lot. Every time I buy a older pack of the Internet I go over the packs and always end up thinking I'm getting screwed. Lol
Yeah been put off buying packs because of this reason alone.
With packs getting xrayed, weighted, resealing etc. It makes it risky to buy vintage.
At certain points, sealed vintage will begin to lose its value because of this. Even "Pros" get authentication wrong. Scanning them will be the only way to verify
Lmao, everyone thought they were taking advantage of dumb kids by getting a good deal, but the kids were the one taking advantage of the adults.
IKR, why would someone, anyone sell at a big discount at an actual card show?
The kids were "trying" to take advantage of adults lol didn't succeed, at least not this time.
I find it very odd that the kid was arguing and being semi-aggressive with the vendor over all of it WITH HIS PARENTS RIGHT THÈRE and they didn't step in to properly figure it out, didn't tell the kid to stop and back off but let him act like that AND be selling people fraudulent products at the same time. F***ing gross behavior, and totally think it's sad how naive people are when purchasing items at card buys/swaps like this but also working with such quantities
Exactly and then this clown decides to show the video of her trying to get one over on a kid but plays victim
@@aaronadam5410😂hilarious that you’re one of the ones pointing finger at the adult vendor saying they are praying on these kids. You sound dumb lol
😂😂😂😂 facts
Its funny how the kid walks away uninterested when Ditto Dudes is explaining to him how to store the pack. He was probably thinking, "He said no to buying so we're done here" 😂
The moment a scam pack or card is discovered, there should be an announcement at the show advising people to be wary.
“We gota fakkkeee pack alert in the building guys…” 😂😂
@@Missingthelordinmylife too hard to understand?
That's stupid. They'll never do that, because the renters and leaseholders will lose hella money. They'd rather people just *sell* anything regardless of what it is rather than scare people away from buying, and let the buyer beware.
@@Anonyhouse You are part of the problem.
@@Anonyhouse but if people know they are buying good product and not getting scammed, more people may be willing to spend big $$
It's beautiful to see the vendors being trusting and giving the benefit of the doubt to these kids and even trying to teach and help them, but it's heartbreaking to see these kids knowing full well what they are doing and taking advantage of people.
They are being trained with a script.
Don’t ignore that these same vendors are trying to get a nice flip thinking these kids don’t know any better.
Kids in the wrong for sure, but these “adults” really should know better (many of these adults paid for it, lol) the way these things were priced, no doubt about that.
@@CDBIII I'd literally have asked the kids "Why so cheap?" and seen their reaction... then said no, and see if they continued to try and move them on other people for the same low price or not.
I feel like if it was popping off like that for me I would take off the magikarp hat.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 magikarp hat
Bro that's so true. I wore a retainer as a teenager. It made it impossible to pronounce certain words without sounding dumb. I wouldn't even argue with someone while I was wearing it I always took it out first.
My exact thought. Someone needs to tell her, "You sound like you don't know what you're talking about (even if you do) because of the dumb@ss hat, lmao."
And dude, that jumpscare at the end of her video clip where her face pops up. Why is her mouth shaped like a magickarp's/fish's mouth ??
I always feared getting in a fight and beat up while dressed up on Halloween. Getting choked out while dressed as Osama Bin Laden isn't a good look
too funny
Those kids and mom just acted guilty! I am very careful whenever I vend. Scammers everywhere now
Hope that family is completely banned from all events. Why were they still be selling after a pack shown wrong? I would halt all sales to protect everyone and check everything.
She thought herself to be the predator but she soon learned that she in fact was the prey.
Exactly! Her whole demeanor is someone who thinks they are a badass... and when she gets hustled she cries victim... Buyer beware... She starts running her gums After she opened the pack... She took the risk.
@@darylmixan8170she even had a pack on hand. And she still bought a wrong color off center pack…
Its like looking at a graded fake card knowing its fake in the back of ur mind and still being like yea ill buy it … 😂
@darylmixan8170 buncha weirdos , who cares what she was doing..... the packs are fake the kids and those parents are scum
@@darylmixan8170she never opened the pack lmfao. Someone else opened their pack they bought from them. Try paying better attention lol she noticed the difference before opening the pack and got her money back then they opened it to prove it was “authentic” which it wasn’t. It can be a real pack, with real cards but if it was resealed that means they opened it, took the good cards out and replaced it with much less valuable cards.
20 mins in “you have your children out here selling fake products; do better.” 😂🤣😂🤣😅
With one on the way
She just never stops talking lol
I set up at this show in NJ. This show is held at a Police athletic center. It’s at a police center… cops occasionally walk around. It takes a bold, bold family to try and pull this at a police station lol
The boldness comes from doing it at a convention with other vendors and collectors there. If the cops not a collector it's just pieces of painted cardboard.
Thats crazy my shows are at a church
hwhite privilege
All they have to say is "we bought it that way" we didnt know.
You mean PALs? That's not really a police athletic center. I'm from NJ. That's just the name. They may have originally been associated with the police decades ago but I don't think they have anything to do with the police.
Imagine finding out that your entire collection was resealed.
it happened to @openboosters (vintage MTG collector)...bought a dodgy pack for 5 figures :(
The horror
20:40 that kid tried snatching those packs up and mixing them up real quick lmao
That was insane.
This is why you don't buy vintage sealed unless they're a verifiable seller.
???? where does one go to be a "verifiable seller?" Half these vendors don't even have a sales tax permit.
I have sold at shows for 45 years and see this stuff happen all the time. Last month it was a guy that used magic marker to make the borders look better on baseball cards from 1972.
I would NEVER trust a vintage pack... Its tough trusting packs now in general, with the explosion of inserts, people can weigh out packs on a sensitive scale and pick and choose before opening and selling the weights they don't want
That whole industry is loaded with scammers.
Thanks Captain Hindsight 😂
When Whatnot sellers meet whatnot sellers in the wild
She did well to stand her ground and kudos to her remaining calm.
I’m shocked by the numerous vendors buying this stuff. For a guy like me who barely knows what he’s looking for, this is terrifying. And nobody would’ve been getting their money back. I’d be worried they switched packs on me. All sales are final, buyer beware.
good job mom. Im sure your kids will grow up to be fine adjusted adults just like you.
Already has another kid on the way, probably 3 different dads and only having kids to use them to work the state and be lazy!
By this point it’s genetic. Fraud is in their genes.
Crazy to think these two kids had all these OG vendors completely stumped for a split second.. they should have sold them and dipped lol
She’s keeps saying she can’t buy something if she doesn’t have confidence, when she handed over the money, and then went around asking opinions.
😂😂😂
incel
typical women.
I got that too. She thought she finessed the kids. They got her and she tried to bully for her money back. Yall buy at 60% and resell at 100%. Yall take advantage of new collectors and get mad when the script flips. Those kids got your strange ass lol.
@@Golfingwiththeuncs who hurt you?
These kids will eventually do this to the wrong person. A person who won't say "its ok buddy, I don't think you knew it was fake." They will say nothing and just get the cops involved.
Or worse right. People get triggered by stuff like this. Just imagine 😮
Lol. Good luck getting law enforcement to help you with resealed pokemon packs. Hahahahah that's a good one
@adammonahan687 hahaha haha. Good one. Except a lot of people are tight with the cops. Sometimes, that's all it takes.
@@brentwalker5726 What you think or know and what you can prove are totally different. What the woman with the kids should have said is we opened the pack all good look at this great card we pulled. After all they did give back the money what more should they have done?
@RobertLee-wi5kc did you even read my comment? I'm talking about how some people freak tf out about this kind of thing. I think the whole situation went about as well as it could have, other than the kid freaking out. Myself, I'd NEVER buy a pack like that. It's WILD that me saying "this could have been worse if the wrong person bought one of those" seems to be so controversial.
Lettering crimp and glue seal are three key things to look for if any of them look off it is likely either fake or resealed
The mother seems real appreciative for her family the last generation or two or three living safe and happy and well-fed in this country. I haven't seen a huge increase in theft or parental negligence even while shopping right in front of them over the last 20 years, no not at all
If you're buying loose packs from a resaler.....then expect them to be weighed, box mapped or something.
I try to avoid buying old packs and boxes. I may be missing out, but I avoid this BS
Honestly unless you are collecting sealed product chasing chase cards in old sets is just a loss of money 98% of the time
99% probably lol
Your missing out on highly expensive cardboard.... 😂
Lady buys packs off kids for a fraction of the retail,
Kind of dirty act in itself
Absolutely
The whole family are crooks and they should be arrested immediately for fraud
@@ja5435 if they had their house raided by law enforcement the next day it wouldn’t surprise me at all if their living room is filled with fake packaging with original cards. Their faces need to be known to everyone that buys and sells TCG product at these events across the country. Scammers!
Its like that in every industry though.
This is how card conventions work. Its not even remotely uncommon for a vendor to buy something from someone for 70% of the price. Its up to the person selling the item to negotiate or say no. If you say YES to a deal, you agree thats a good deal for you. Nothing dirty about trading, this is just a stupid take.
It’s the parents
The way he was trying to tell him in the second video how to keep a pack safe and everything like that and do it properly and he didn't even want to listen he's just walking away, They knew they were freaking scamming people.
No minor sellers asap, and an authenticator on the premises
i love your content Rattle. i have said it many times and saying it again you are needed for this community. Sheriff of Pokemon, nothing gets past Rattle
Hot take: 12 year olds should not be dealing in 20+ year old packs for profit. Unless you have experience first hand with the packs from original distribution, there's a high likelihood you will get scammed. Sure they have the right to contract as anyone else does, but you need to have situational awareness when making what you see as a big money deal.
The fact they even considered a multi hundred or thousand dollar deal with children, without their parents present, is a huge red flag for me.
You are doing PokeGod’s work my friend. Keep Pokémon Legit at all costs.
The kid knows 100%
kids committing grand larceny over pokemon cards before even hitting high school is wild.
I like how the kid went straight to blaming her for having to open a pack 😂
Adults shouldn't deal with kids. Kids shouldn't deal with adults wearing Magikarp hats😂
What the heck are kids doing making sales and running a booth. I don't think you can even legally do deals with minors anyway. Are kid dealers normal in pokemon.
They can't legally make a contract with a kid, well if won't be enforceable at least. People buy lemonade, pay for lawn services, it's not illegal to make a deal w a child, you just cannot enforce a written contract against them.
They really shouldn’t be these card shows need to put age restrictions on selling things or you need to have a parent present to do the deal
It's the family, kids just helping.
@@PokeGrillz true but vintage sealed boosters is way different then handing a kid 50.00 to mow my yard
As a former child, you can in fact legally have your children work for your business. I know this first hand.
Real cards packed in a fake wrapper.
This is giving the same vibe as the kids playing violins at walmart....or asking for gas at the gas station while the parents are in the car😅
I’m pretty sure that the baby on moms stomach is also resealed 🥳
Omfg
😂😂😂😂
What is wild to me is, that many vendors were almost fooled.
I'm not a vendor, but if I was, I certainly would not be buying any vintage packs unless I was 1000000% confident that it was real and legit regardless of the "deal" or how much money I could make.
@@JediMasterT i think they were fooled by it being a little kid selling it. Plus they were a "good deal", so they jumped. Then their dopamine levels came back to normal & they took a closer look at the packs.
The worst part about this is the more time goes by the more stuff that's going to end up in collector's possessions and the more fake stuff that's going to be out there it's going to get to a point where it's 99% fake everything
I know I'm lateto this but when a kid cries like that it's because they just realized they gotten scammed by their parents and now lashing out on the ones who are trying to help him. L Parents.
Even more messed up when your teaching them young to be garbage and helping them
The buyer is kind of a potato if we’re being honest here
Insult to potatos
The price of the ES and Evolutions together, no one would sell them bundled for 950$. That market price is way over that, even with discounts.
And another vendor bought them!
Imagine being a grown ass person dealing with children about a transaction instead of directly speaking e/their parents.
My buddy recently found out that some of his highest priced sealed items in his collection are re-seals 🤣 I asked him where he got it and he said "Instagram"
Looks like the Pokémon space has been riddled with scammers lately just like sneakers have.
Would’ve told the kid quit crying and go resell it with your special glue 😂😂😂😂😂
She said that one looks very goofy 😂😂
That kid in the yellow sweater is not a good little boy.
The parents and kids know what they are doing. The reason they were in the card saver is to use that as an excuse for the tear AND for the missing "puffiness" or air within that you'd normally see from legit sealed packs
It's definitely a family scheme. The mom came to pull him away before she caused too much drama. She knows damn well they are fake. She didnt want a huge scene. Im guessing they made a good amount of money and everyones now realizing they got jipped. The parents definitely told them not to tell people where they got the packs. Everyone knows Whatnot is sketch business. Plus its a little funny how the kid is screaming "thats fraud" like he already knows all about it.
This kind of crap is destroying the hobby industry.. I got scammed on Whatnot, Amazon, card shows and NOW Walmart.. it’s gotten so ridiculous any more that I stopped buying .. I’m done
I dont buy cards anywhere except for local game stores . I dont buy anything online from walmart or amazon unless its sold directly by them because everything not just cards are faked these days
Sounds like a you problem.
Sounds like you don't learn your lesson
If you buy official products from walmart its fine, just not those random card packs idk why they sell those. Or you could just buy from pokemon center
Is no one asking the question WHY would she buy them in the first place without checking them first? She impulsed buy an expensive pack without verifying it herself? Lol
This was my only thought watching this.
It’s because the vendors here are hungry for great deals and fast to rip off buyers.. Know a lot of the vendors here at this show and most of them are the trash you’d expect from the NJ pokemon scene
They’re the people asking 150% market on lp cards priced at 150% nm
And i’ll add that this vendor w the magikarp is one of the worst. She’s the person who’s asking $3k for a “heavy” ex Team rocket returns pack. For those who don’t know Ex trr is one of the rarest if not the rarest in the tcg.. lol but that’s just insane…..
@@GrapesAutosholl is one of the best ones out there. Know her personally - always helps people out and has great inventory. GTFOH with your baseless ass claims bro
i recognize that shorter kid from another scamming video and he was selling old packs that were defiantly fake!! this family must do this were ever they go and should be banned from future events
I think I've seen him in other videos too. I actually think I've seen him get a free card from coop.
@@objectivetruth2945 smh Coop is cool dude, unfortunately these scammers get "free" cards from others as well
Kids cry when they get caught….never fails!!
A lot of this is also done with the 1986-87 Fleer Basketball Wax Packs (Jordan's rookie year). Repackaged cards, not even in the same pattern inside, and odd damage to the cards in non-uniform parts of the cards.
This must be one of the dumbest scammers ever! Who in the world sells sealed product at a card show and thinks nobody there has enough knowledge to notice they’re fake!
Imagine if she scanned the pack and after finding out it was a 💩 pack, went to get a refund 😂
watafak...
She tries to Rob the kids by paying way below value and shes complaining that she almost got robbed lol Calling the Kettle black
Technically they set the price so they agreed with that price in the first place regardless of who buys them... The reason why they were selling them for low price is to sell them fast and get out of there with the cash and never come again it's fraud on a massive scale all she did was buy a pack take a closer look at the pack ask for opinions and return it unopened and got her money back
Not only ripped them off, but they had to explain how they were ripped off to the people that did it and know it.
Evil
If she wasn't confident, why did she buy it in the first place? These kids and parents should be held responsible, don't get me wrong, but examine what your buying before handing over money.
because she thought she was ripping off some dumb kids for a nice profit
lmao "want me to smile? here i'll smile"
We just gonna ignore the card on the floor at the table in the 2nd video lol
I feel half of these types of videos im seeing online are featuring adolescents which is really scary
The body language from the kids gives everything away. 😂😂😂
People are so dumb. Why would you trust a kid making “deals” for things worth 1000s
Imagine trying to really sell fake cards in a room full of card experts.
Sad to see that there parents are involved in teaching this youngster to steal and lie
Classic "well well well" situation.
I refuse to purchase anything old nowadays. Too many fakes being sold for too much money to risk.
Vendors are so genuine and nice not knowing who there dealing with. Shoutout to every vendor out there
The kids may have also been fooled into buying they by being told to smell the pack. The scammer said you know they weren’t resealed because you can’t smell the glue. Crazy market right now out there.
I like how she acts like she knew they were fake all along yet she bought them 🤦🏽
She's a clown. " I wasn't confident" oh plz STFU lady u got played and lucky she got it back. All sales final as is
She's that person that can Never be wrong...
@darylmixan8170 The type of person that will steal your stuff and help you look for it
Wrong color and the text was off … she knew it was fake and still bought it
So we ganna talk 💩 about the person that exposed them and saved others who didn't notice hundreds if not thousands.... TF is wrong with people knowdays?
Also this may help other vendors I only trade or buy from people who have a valid ID when I'm selling at shows. If it's a kid get your parents and they will have to do the trade or sale. Then I take a photo of it with the transaction. I have a sign saying Id required to trade and sell.
Absolutely agree with this common sense
Kids being into vintage is a red flag 🚩
13:09 So the dude bought a light pack and ripped it? Seemed strange. I thought the value was in keeping those sealed 🤷♂️
Moms knows exactly what time it is
Her fault for not checking ,for all the kids know she left with a real box and came back to scam them ..why you always check upfront..and if you can’t tell between a real and a fake you’re in the wrong hobby/business
💯
Well no shit captain obvious
@@BrandonLeeTalks can’t imagine being a vendor and falling for a fake pack …ain’t so obvious is them rtards still fall for it and cry about it

Tell me you don't have kids without telling me you don't have kids: the vendor woman in this video
Is that an OG Hook-Ups hoodie? I think I have the old skate shop banner of that same art or similar.
Why did this chick buy a pack if she knew it was fake? The whole situation is crazy 😂
She's a lez who likes poke
Cause she like many can’t stand to pass up a possible good deal, smells blood and takes the bite. Thinks about the consequences later, dumb animal.
They were kids maybe for that simple fact
Impulse. Just like a droog addict
@@shakascloset1700Yea she’s weird as hell one of the worst vendors i’ve ever bought from they’re at every show every weekend lol
Every time them kids get caught.... They start "crying" 😭😭
The lesson here is only buy from reputable dealers
What if she switched the pack with a fake one and then told the kids there's was fake when she switched it herself???
Are you part of there family lol im jk
Main Reason I don't buy sealed at shows.
Kids pulling a scam for sure but she thought she was finessing a lil kid who didn’t know better that’s why she scurried away without taking her time to authenticate the pack. She’s a seller too she knows due diligence but that lick was just too good for her to pass up. Equally guilty she should eat that loss and the kids should be banned from events.
Regardless of poor business practices from the woman, those kids were trying to sell her something that wasn’t legit. It’s on the seller to know what their product is worth, if you go up to the booth and completely undervalue what you have then that’s on you.
The reason the kid walked away while being explained why was because he already knew what he was doing was wrong anyways.
Gotta be the parents. The mom came and tried to calm her kid and rushed them away. 18 mins in...
Thank you for making these videos, and making us aware that scams like these do exist
hi everyone i'm a parent. don't worry my children wont turn out highly regarded like this family's
Lol he said Do Better 😂😂😂
Wow the Gypsy’s scammers have gotten from fake funeral donation to Pokémon cards. This woman is much nicer than I woulda been to that shrill boy.
Ding ding ding
Wow training your kids to be thieves at such a young age. Incredible parenting. And she had another little thief in the oven too!
She should be happy. Money back and free content? Score. She’s an absolute idiot. Scammed by a kid until a “real” enthusiast had to correct the error. “I’m not giving anyone the benefit of the doubt anymore” - I’d be too ashamed to show this.
Are booster packs even sealed with glue? The ends are crimped which makes me think they’re heat sealed lol.
