Awesome looking light set up. I'm not sure how I'll mount mine (just ordered the same ones) on my Malibu kayak since it doesn't have that cross bar. But watching this gave me some good ideas. Thanks again for breaking it down for us.
Good idea have 2 of them on back of my boat 2 19in on front but I drilled holes sucks on new boat but great for throwing out decoys and seeing where your going
I just mounted almost same type lights on mine wish could add a pick my kayak is a peddle one I added a trolling motor but then added lights like yours a little bigger but mou Ted behind my seat I also raised them up I have alit do e ro mine fish finder and motor but wanna night fish so added these lights everything is removable if you take the bracket off the light it makes it alot easier to mount them and I recommend using heat shri k wrap over your connections and die grease especially if your I. Salt water
Here is one suggestion. In your battery box, drill a hole to pass the cables through - no larger than it needs to be. Then close up the hole with silicone to help ensure that box stays dry.
When you go to take them off, I’m pretty sure that adjustment bolt on the actual light comes all the way off if I’m not mistaken so the light will come off the bracket to make it easier to take the lights on and off
Josh, Amazon sells covers for those LED lights. I bought one for my light bar on my go devil and it was only $10. Its waterproof and they work great and come in all different sizes.
How long will that setup run on that battery? I'm looking to light up my aluminum canoe for multiple over night. And I was gonna use a marine battery but is that good for single nighters?
Looks nice but I would use the connectors coming from the lights to the harness just so you don’t gotta worry bout the wire falling out or having a bad connection
How many hours does the leds stay on with that battery? Great idea! I have two extra led lights just like those and I want to hook them up on my kayak too 👍
I love the design but for fuck sake take the time and wire in the spade connectors and dont just push the wires in other than that great job and the answer to my Instagram question on what battery you used
Great video. All the important details included. Thank you
I think the u-bolt idea is awesome. And the deer feeder battery is perfect, light and rechargeable. Nice work man.
It’s a pretty sweet little set up for under $100
Thank god for this video. I just got a Nucanoe Unlimited kayak and I don’t want to drill holes in mine either. Thanks for putting this together!
Great idea for all saying it's unsave, nothing a little electrical tape can't fix love the video has helped me grow as a new waterfowl Hunter!
Nice Job! I need that clicker switch

I'm add lights to my PA14 and my Solo Skiff. I was looking for lighting ideas and this is perfect. I can take off when not using.
going to be doing this on my kayak, thanks for all the great videos man keep it up!!!

yeah, but if water gets in there I think we have a bigger problem to deal with..
Sweet idea!! I love it big fan!
What is the approximate runtime on a fully charged 12 volt battery?

How long do the lights last
good video man looking to outfit my boat now.
That looks awesome!
i would cut the some of the excess off the back bolt. then you could put the lights on the u bolt before you put them on the yak.
Do you have any videos showing the lights in actual use on the water?
Worked out nice!! Put some light on the Situation
I see what you did there

These are waterproof
@@OutdoorLimits Excellent. They look great on the kayak. I hope they help you out on the big water.
How long will battery last or how long can you keep lights on? Do you recharge battery or just replace
Brilliant ! 🙂
Please make the connection from the lights more secure lol. That hurt me to see you shove the wires in the female spade connector.
how long does the battery last?
What wire harness is that?
How long will that battery keep the lights running
Great idea, but I'm curious how this working out for you?? Any update to this video???
Dope af no better way!
Cut the back threads on the u bolt with a hack saw to make it it easier to put the lights on
thats a good idea

How long did that battery last.
I like it!!
Clever, I like it.
Great idea👍
Nice job. But I would throw some heat shrink on those connections.
Dude that was freaking LIT!! Get it lol?
Lol I love it
Can you leave a link for everything you used to install? From the battery to the wire harness to the quick connects?
Harness came with the lights. Battery and connectors were at Walmart in sporting goods and automotive. Hardware came from a hardware store
Well done
I'd like to see how you haul the kayak
Throw it in the back of the yota
how hot do those lights get if you are gonna drape your blind over them?
Looks nice but I would use the connectors coming from the lights to the harness just so you don’t gotta worry bout the wire falling out or having a bad connection
Yeah. I ended up taping them after I shorted it out on a hunt
Outdoor Limits nice. Can’t wait to c more vids out the quack yak
What size ubolt
Are they the spot or flood lights?
I’d paint 1/2 of one red other 1/2 green then ya got your nav light with the light
Love this video
Hey bro pretty decent engineering for a business major “ Brilliant “ actually
There is always a solution to every problem
How many hours does the leds stay on with that battery?
Great idea! I have two extra led lights just like those and I want to hook them up on my kayak too 👍
Depends on the battery. I have 2 18 watt lights and a 12v 12amp battery I get 2 hours no problem. Haven't needed longer than that yet.
Let me know how that battery works for you was wanting to do the same on my kayak
That's awesome
Did something similar on my kayak
I would get some male spade connectors to plug the wires in but overall great set up.
I stripped the wires and taped them after i blew the fuse on a hunt. The leads touched...
Why not screw the last nut on most of the way, then slide the light on? Lol
Are you apart of the DUX staff? You should try to collab with BobbyGuy, that would be awesome.
I use led head lamp but what happens if you dont keep moving..... You get a swarm around your head!
Rdy for action
Not bad! 👌🏽👌🏽
Velcro is your friend.
Ill bet you didn't learn to do that at college.
Not to bad man
Mallards bro
I was hoping you were going to shout me out for the idea 😔
1 first and your the best
I love the design but for fuck sake take the time and wire in the spade connectors and dont just push the wires in other than that great job and the answer to my Instagram question on what battery you used
