I don’t understand you guys you said is safe place to put your money so that’s basically an investment. That’s what people do put money into things that are safe you don’t spend 30 40,000 on something unless you think it’s safe
Rolex is safe and it is an investment. If you buy it at the right price it will stay safe or go up in value that’s an investment.

Payed 3600 Canadian for the Submariner Date in 2000. Got a 10% discount brand new. Basically you could get any Rolex with a 10% discount except the steel Daytona. Got one in 97 for 7200 Canadian retail ( lucky ) as was buying an engagement ring and the owner offered it to me even though he has huge waiting list. My advice is never buy above MSRP for any Rolex except maybe a steel Daytona.

Personally I don’t like date indicators on any watches. Unless I had some kind of perpetual, like that Lange. We all have phones, almost no one needs a watch any longer. Which makes me wonder why I have so many. I guess just because we want them. Nice convo, guys!
I've currently reached a happy place with my watches. The next major purchase will be a vintage yellow gold day-date. But, that wont be for a while.
What do you have in the current collection? A gold Day-Date is timeless

Interesting site. I really respect these guys for hat they know. Cant believe how much love there is out there for Tudor and of course Rolex, but with the exception of the discussion re Lange, there is not a great deal of focus on Sinn, Damasko or German brands in general, when in reality, these are easily as well made as Swiss counterparts. I guess they are less jewellery (which these guys deal in) and more tool watches. For me, a T50 U1 or U50 isright up there with one of my favourites, the Pelagos 39. They are also less about investements and just watches that will be used day in, day out and not for showing off. Good to watch, impressed with these guys expertise.

I’ve just got a hesalite speedmaster in a cool box recently new love it and still not bankrupt Rolex are beyond me but did try on a submariner no date by a extremely friendly goldsmiths staff member but love my seamaster

Submariner. I have tried a few on and borrowed one off a mate for a week when I was contemplating purchasing one. I personally found it uninspiring and boring. Personal opinion.

A Hublot is nothing compared to an A.P, its a little bit more fancy than a Designer brand and priced way too high for non in house movement parts.

It immediately sounds like you just want to sell what you actually have in stock, not what the buyer may really want. Let’s be for real, it’s hard to sell a brand new Rolex Submariner if you rarely have any in stock! So of course it’s not going to be your “best selling model,” and of course this would apply to all the other luxury watch distributors. Just another greedy business just trying to sell you something, anything while at the same time calling you a “friend.” Rs

13:23 this is a terrible take. Expand your horizons and only have 1 rolex in a 3 watch collection. I feel as if to many people ride Rolex to hard just because of their name they have built.
