Just a month ago I bought my brand new Rolex Bluesy from my great authorized Rolex dealer. Before I bought my Bluesy I check the whole watch market and contacted many dealers to see for how much I will be able to buy my new Bluesy. The current retail price for a new Bluesy in the US is $15,600.00. You will not be able to get any discounts on Bluesy. If you did and were lucky please share your experience here. This model sells for a higher price than retail on the used watch market. So if you want this watch and want to pay only retail you got to be patient and just wait. My research proves that this Rolex Bluesy will appreciate in value. Good luck and hope your dreams may come true soon for you as well.
Another great video lads, another example of why you are the best watch channel on TH-cam! Nice to see that you’re not just talking about Rolex, even though it’s the brand I like the most 👍
Hendo. I do not handle as many watches as you. So that could be part of it. But as an owner of both a datejust (2013/14) and a seamaster. Diver chrono c. 2012. The latter is like a farm vehicle. The movement is noisy, it’s really heavy (even when comparing to my Daytona / equivalent chrono) and having gone swimming with it multiple times - the back of the bezel makes my wrist smell metallic when it gets wet. But the biggest difference I’ve found in 20 yrs of ownership is the after sales service. Omega boutique at Bluewater in Kent - have damaged my constellation (and sent it back with parts from another watch after being asked to replace a battery and taking 2months at service centre) and the clincher - refused to replace the (I claim defective) dial on my seamaster during warranty period. Despite photos and proof the case had never been opened. Rolex - for all the contempt shown by some ADs - have always done exactly what they said they would do. Slowly - but without screwing it up. All that said - I love my seamaster. But cannot bring myself to give Omega more money. Or a recommendation.
Omega boutique bluewater are cowboys, had a similar negative experience there, although i think the Fact Hunt that was the manger who had too much to say has now been replaced
If you showed me a picture of Jack and asked what I thought he did for a living my guess would be Painter and Decorator. If you showed me a picture of Hendo and asked what I thought he did for a living my guess would be Nightclub Owner. If you showed me a picture of Josh and asked what I thought he did for a living my guess would be Estate Agent. If you showed me a picture of Jon and asked what I thought he did for a living my guess would be Asda Delivery Driver. True story.
Fantastic of you guys to do this Q&A….really fascinating and I’m also thrilled to see my question get a mention! Excellent episode….more like this too please!! 👏🏾👏🏾
Me and my dad watch all your videos. We went to Jesmond dene and saw Stuart in the shop window when we drove past. I like personally Daytona ghost which I will aim to get when I’m older.
What's the difference in resale value of the same rolex watches like subs, date just, op etc in left hand vs right handed watches. I'm left handed but thinking about buying a normal left watch and wear it on my right hand.?? Tia
Really enjoyed that Q&A session thank you gents. Thanks for reading out my question. I ended up changing to Starbucks mk1 bezel, hopefully the right call. The question now is whether to add a bluesy or to PX Starbucks for a panda..
Thanks for getting involved Ben and congrats on your Starbucks purchase. Give it some time and see if your feeling about the watch changes, then decide
Rolex price increases over the last 30 years have outpaced inflation by 50%. In other words, a watch that sold for $3000 in 1993 should sell for $6338 today based on inflation but that same watch is now selling for $9000-$10000. The Explorer II is the perfect example of this reality as it’s not using ceramic parts and it’s nearly identical to the product produced in 1993
I bought one in 2016 for $7200 US. Sold it back to the dealer I got it from in 2020 for 10,5. Currently it trades between 13, 5 and 18 US depending on condition
If you compare it to the bi-metal Rootbeer, they do not command the same market price. However, if you compare the RRP in 2009 with the current market price, you’ll be doing alright 👌
@@Watchtrader thanks for your reply. I’ve been offered the watch for £10,500 Box & papers, recent rolex service. Excellent condition. I think the similar watches I’m seeing in the market are around 12k ish
I just sold my rolex sub blue gold recently for a healthy profit, though it was on the advice as nows the time as markets on the whole are starting to "settle" as my watch dealer friend put it.
I have come across tons of people, myself included, where the DJ doesn’t fit right in neither the 36 or 41. Personally, the 36 is far too small and the 41 looks like a dinner plate. The 41 OP looks even bigger for some reason. A 38/39mm would be just right for a lot of people.
The oyster perpetual whilst still 41, has a larger dial compared to the Datejust. That in addition to the lack of date contributes to the larger appearance. A 39mm DJ would be amazing
Watchfinder offers loans and financial plans. Guys are you thinking about it? For example I pay a deposit of £5000 for Explorer 36 and then you give me a loan with financial plan so I could pay the rest in lets say 12 months.

People should buy a watch because of its looks and quality. To only buy as an investment is totally nonsense. During my life I bought many Swiss watches and I enjoyed them all. Some I kept and some I sold. Some lost lots of value and only a few increased in value. Why is it so important that a watch increases in value….? I don’t see the point.. 😊😊
The new Bluesy in the best Rolex ever made
Best Rolex ever made is a major topic for debate
Too big
Bluesy is the best sub ever!!!
Shiny and still an everyday watch.
For me the the best value🔥🔥🔥

100% agree if you bought this for 15,600 you walked out of the boutique with 3-5k equity
@@Ferreiraplumbing20this comment didn’t age well. They are now selling below retail on the secondary market

How long did you have to wait for your Rolex Bluesy and did you pay the retail price or way over price? I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

A lot of watches, I was wearing ! These are my favorite ones; Yellow Golf DD champagne stick dial 40mm 228238, Daytona Panda 116500

Nearly every current Rolex watch has the crown on the right hand side. It’s only the GMT-Master II VTNR that has the crown on the left

Daytona 16518 4 years ago £12k bought as many as I could find today £20k+… everyone was telling me I’m mad buying at those prices..
I tried to get a bluesy at the AD. Was a no go. Oh well.
Guys can we get Hendo to do some more outfit/car pairings with watches? Loved that feature last time out
What language do you think they are speaking?
I notice those of African decent. Maybe they're in South Africa.
But the Datejusg 41 already measures under 40 sooo idk
Maybe a 39mm would measure under 39mm too…
I always thought 25+ years was classic, and 50+ years was vintage.

Wc he wearing
Fluted or smooth ? Date ?

Why are people buying watches which can not afford. Watches are to be worn and not kept in a drawer at home.
